Tasting Tuesdays at Insomnia is a yummy experience! You scan a QR code for a survey when you get there. After checking in, a staff member came around with a vanilla cookie crumble milkshake. It was think and creamy with whipped cream and cookie crumbles on top. Next is a plate of 5!!! Different cookies. All were delicious! The double chocolate chunk was my fave. It had an almost brownie taste with chunks of malty chocolate. The regular chocolate chunk was also yummy with big chunks of chocolate. A M&M cookie was similar to a chocolate chip but with M&Ms. Peanut butter chip and snickerdoodle were also tasty. All the cookies were yummy!!! The flagship is a big space with seating. It has a cool fluorescent light mural. You can register ahead but they were also taking walk ins. If you have the app or are on the email list you probable got an email with a link. This was a fun way to end the work day.

It was a rough day at the office. We met with our client and the meeting was a flamming dumpster fire. All on us. Needless to say, we were all defeated. A colleague and I headed over across the street from the Ritz to Insomnia Cookies. What a treat. Vegan cookies, Gluten Free cookies, and all sorts of regular cookies and ice cream. I ordered several double chocolate chunk vegan cookies, not disclosing how many cookies, and my colleague ordered some cookies as well. We headed back over to the bar at the Ritz and had drinks. She had Champagne and I had some very strong adult beverage. Ahem Mezcal. There we were at the bar in the Ritz, drowning our sorrows in drinks and filling our bellies with cookies. While the day was a complete disaster, I will always remember the good times with my colleague at the bar with drinks and cookies.

Haven't had their cookies in years and on a trip back to Philly go the nostalgic taste I was looking for ... sugar oatmeal raisin snicker doodle will always have my heart.

The newest location of Insomnia Cookies is incredibly spacious! Located at the corner of Chestnut and Broad, this location includes ample seating and a large space for lining up. The service seems slower than other locations, which was surprising. They had only two people working in the front on a Friday night. They also sell merchandise, unlike most of their locations. You can get the cookies and ice cream, just like the other locations, but you can also score some other specialties. Check them out!

We ordered a smores cookie, 2 scoops of ice cream which was cookies n dream and cookie dough. Super cute place love the decor and they had a restroom as well.

Had this back to back with a nearby local ice cream shop and wow-- Jeni's is fantastic!…read more I really appreciate the creativity that they put into their flavors here. I sampled five flavors and my top three were the Hibiscus Chili Punch, Summer Berries + Passion fruit, and the Watermelon Taffy. The staff member that helped us was very kind, informative, and enthusiastic. He was very open about the flavors and was not shy to tell us what might be too sweet. I wish we came earlier in the day because we got there 30 minutes before closing and they were already in the process of cleaning up. The store still had a super cute color theme going on and it was very clean. We sat at the window barstools while we finished out single scoop. One unique thing about Jeni's is that they serve each flavor by the half scoop, so one scoop automatically defaults to two different flavors!

When I heard they had a new Matcha flavor, I had to get my hands on it. I love their sweet cream…read moreflavor but they were out of it so I got 2 half scoops of it while my husband got a half scoop of Matchapolitan and Darkest chocolate each. I have to say as a matcha lover I am slightly disappointed because it was too sweet and mostly tasted like sweetened strawberry matcha latte with the matcha flavor pretty subdued. The darkest chocolate, on the other hand, is an absolute indulgence and cannot be missed!

Another trip to Philly and another delicious lunch at Gran Caffe L'Aquila! Appetizers, entrees,…read moregelato, coffee- all delicious! Prompt, friendly, courteous service, as usual. The place was busy, but that didn't delay our orders. We could hold a conversation without having to speak loudly. We bought some dark roast beans, ground there for espresso, to take home.

I haven't seen my Cuzn since we dined at Louis Vuitton Cafe in NYC. Called her up and asked her to…read morejoin me for a late dinner. She obliged me. I made reservations (day of) for 8:30 pm. We were a little late due to traffic, but our reservation was still honored. Our seating was inside and upstairs (which we appreciated b|c it rained while we were dining) Ambiance was lovely, dimly lit and romantic if you're on a date. Restaurant is family friendly!! We were quickly sat, our waiter introduced himself to us -- lovely gentleman by the name of Vincenzo?!? He was effortlessly efficient and friendly. Made our night exceptional. My cousin said it was late and she didn't want to really order anything. I talked her into ordering and then at least she could eat the leftovers for "midnight snacking" or lunch the next day. We ordered: -- Bellini: Prosecco infused peach purée -- Bread -- Scamorza -- Fire-roasted aged mozzarella, prosciutto -- Torta Granchio -- Italian crab cake infused with crab, shrimp, and mascarpone served with cucumber fresco and gastronomic roasted red pepper gelato -- Cesarina -- Kale, romaine, creamy Parmigiano dressing -- Agnolotti -- Torino-style Ravioli filled with veal, pork, and vegetables. Butter sage sauce topped with gastronomic black and white truttle gelato -- Pappardelle al Ragu -- Ribbon pasta, slow cooked pork, veal, lamb and chicken ragu (my cuzn's meal) -- Tiramisu Classico -- Lady fingers, espresso, mascarpone Everything was delicious, especially the Torta Granchio. Gran Caffè L'Aquila needs to lead with this appetizer. It was delicious. My cousin and I ordered two more to go!! Our pasta meals were decadent and delicious. We shared the tiramisu and we both agreed it was fantastic. Classic is the way to go. We left with full bellies after having wonderful conversation. We both agreed we'd be back!! BTW: I booked our reservation OpenTable and got 1000 points for it!!!
