First time going. Got a 4 pack of the deluxe cookies. S'mores is the best cookie on the menu no debate. Chocolate chip is regular. Peanut butter was good but that was the only one that was like falling apart as I'm trying to break it up. The brownie was weak. read more

Living so close to Insomnia cookies is definitely dangerous, and we've already ordered a few times for either pickup or delivery. However, we were very disappointed in our most recent purchase. We ordered delivery last night since we had a code for a free 6-pack of classic cookies with a delivery ordered. We ordered 2 deluxe cookies + the 6-pack, which we were excited about. However, our order was delivered 45 minutes late, and when we opened the box, half of the cookies were smooshed or broken. I definitely understand that transit can be difficult, but to open the box (that was delivered late) and see broken cookies was extremely disappointing. That being said, we still do really enjoy the content of Insomnia Cookies. I went for the confetti deluxe cookie (one of the destroyed ones from transit), that was still delish despite being smooshed, and my fiancee went for the s'mores deluxe cookie, which wound up holding its integrity and was delish as well. We are excited to try the other flavors too, but I think we will opt for pick-up in the future since we had such a less-than-ideal experience with delivery. Delicious warm cookies. My favorite is s'mores cookies. It has gooey warm marshmallows perfect with warm melting chocolate chunks with some graham crackers. The double chunk cookies is ok. Not many chips in it. I took a star down because they were out of oatmeal chocolate chips. You can make ice cream sandwich with that warm cookies. I believe it will be great read more

On a recent trip to Philadelphia I -of course- had to have Pat's King of Steaks. Across the street was Insomnia Cookies. There was no line and so I went in and got a six pack. I can't recall the last time I tasted cookies so delicious that my own wife -an exceptional baker- did not make. Every flavor was delicious and exactly as described the young lady who helped us behind the counter was very pleasant and aided us in our decision...so many choices!! read more

The place is just opened.! Located next to the Sprouts. I remember my friend told me that they do special price for the opening. 6 cookies for $ 1.5. I came and bought 6 cookies. The employee working here on 2/2/21 at 4pm and onward is incompetent and can't do their job. I ordered cookies for delivery not half a mile up the road and I waited around for an hour. The order was still in "baking" stage which is ridicukous. So I call and say excuse me where on earth is my freaking order. And she goes "oh I see it. Let me put it into post mates NOW". HA. An hour after I place the order you then go and put it into post mates ....? Absolutel trash don't order from here they're a joke. And the person who was working on this evening clearly has no clue how to do their job. It's now 2 hours after I ordered my cookies and they're STILL NOT HERE and insomnia won't even refund me. I was there this past Sunday before 1 o'clock. We had to call the main number I guess the 800 number to get it open. The gentleman who opened the door didn't even really apologize for apparently he was late. He repeatedly said he overslept and he had a limited number of cookies baking. While I bought them and my daughter absolutely loves them and wants to go back there, the simple truth is there is a professional way to let people know some thing when you are serving the public. I will be looking for any other location but this one read more

This is seriously the WORST Insomnia location. EVER. First experience was with a rude staff member. I asked one question and she didn't even talk to respond. She just shook her head with attitude. Didn't even talk to my friend and I when placing an order. I try my very best to be nice and understanding- maybe she had a rough day? But that is still no excuse. I worked in the service industry and always had to leave my personal issues before coming into work. That's how it should be everywhere. Insomnia was very helpful and replied to my complaint. They even sent me a coupon for 2 free cookies. Second incident was trying to use this coupon. It's only available online (so dumb) and only with a minimum of a $6 purchase? What's the point of even giving me a coupon then. Oh and that's not all!!! The place was "backed up" apparently and it took an hour long wait for me to finally call and see what the deal was. I ended up just cancelling my order. UPDATE: my boyfriend who also ordered cookies separately from my order just went in to pick up his order. He said he saw a stack of orders not even ready while the staff were sitting around talking and laughing. The staff member also double charged him (even though the online order already charged his credit card). Wow. What a business!!! read more

Prepare to deal with complete morons if you go to this location. They don't show up on time (last time they opened at noon with no cookies ready so wtf was the point of being opened?), they're often are out of certain cookies because they can't plan and when you call them on their idiocy they just sit there and stare at you as if they're more baked than their actual cookies. Avoid this location if at all possible. read more

The last 3 times I've ordered delivery from the Insomnia on South Broad, the cookies have been cold and the delivery guys have not honored my request for contactless delivery. I'm guessing the latter is due to my delivery preferences from the app not being communicated to the delivery folks. In any event, I'm gonna pass on this place for the foreseeable future. Sigh...I used to love deliveries from there. read more

It's a good thing that I just happened to be in the area because having this delightful cookie shop near me on a regular basis would be...let's just say dangerous lol. The cookies were warm, soft, and melted in my mouth. The wonderful women, Lex and Alex, who assisted me with my order were awesome. If I could give just half a star I would. I figured I would give them one more go because it's snow, I had a shit day at work and thought man, cookies will cheer me up. I was wrong. The last time I ordered they had to resend our order because it showed up all broken and and missing cookies. I finally got the order after I called to check why it still wasn't here 45 minutes after getting a text saying it was out for delivery. Cookies not warm. Ice cream half melted. LOVE Insomnia. Cookie's were ok. They weren't warm, but I guess I can't expect warm cookies when they're being delivered. Not happy with the delivery experience though. When I ordered online, there was a spot for delivery instructions. I put "Do not ring doorbell. Please call". Just to be on the safe side, I was stalking the order tracker to see when they would be on their way so that I could either wait outside or be ready to answer the door when the call came through. Unfortunately, the doorbell rang even though the tracker said they were still baking. When I answered the door, I told the delivery guy that I had specific instructions saying not to ring the doorbell. He said "oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know. I'm in a rush". The receipt had the instructions highlighted in blue. I handed him a $20 to pay for my $10 order, and he thanked me and told me to have a good night. I said "Wait. You don't have any change?" He then asked me how much the order was (price was highlighted in orange). He said he didn't have any change "right now" and asked if I had change. I told him I could not break a $20. Then he started digging through his pockets and was able to give me my change. Here it is, 30 minutes after my order was delivered, and the tracker still says they're baking... read more

Completely messed up my order. I pleased and online order for two cookie sandwiches and 12 cookies. Not only did it take them one and a half hours to deliver my order, when it arrived, it was completely wrong. They only delivered 12 cookies and a small ice cream. When I called customer service, she told me that they could deliver the two sandwhiches but she does not know what time they will be delivered. She then offered a partial credit if I didn't want the sandwiches. I told her that I wouldn't have ordered them if I didn't want them but I chose to accept the partial credit since waitng another hour for the sandwiches did not seem appealing at all. She stated that the credit would appear on my bank statement in 3-5 days. I asked for a confirmation number and she couldn't give one. I asked for a email of the refund receipt and she stated a supervisor would send it to me. I asked for the supervisor's name and she stated that she didn't know the supervisor's name. I do not recommend placing an online order from the Insomnia cookies on 14xx Carpenter St in Philadelphia! read more

We tried chocolate chip, dark chocolate oatmeal, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter chocolate, blueberry muffin, and pumpkin snickerdoodle. All were fresh, soft, and chewy. I think my favorite was the blueberry muffin and snickerdoodle. We really liked all of them. Service was great! There's not really any particular line. The staff behind the counter will come up to you when you're ready to order. It's all done in a very orderly & quick way. A must stop when in Reading Terminal Market.

It might be more exciting if you get one of the cookie sandwiches, but I just wanted to try one of the deluxe cookies on its own. I do like the displays so you can tell the size/fillings of all the cookies before ordering. We tried the chocolate peanut butter cup deluxe cookie which was little sparcer in the cups than the display cookie. It was fine. It's not like it was fresh out of the oven. At room temperature, it was hard and crunchy and was pretty good, but nothing amazing. If I was in a snacking mood, it's fine, but it's not something I would have to make part of my routine to stop by. The service was good and there was plenty of seating. It can hit the spot late at night, but during the day, it's nothing above average, especially for a flagship.

When I arrived, a gentleman with an iPad was walking around checking folks in. He asked if I was here for the tasting and for my last name. I sat down at a table and waited for the rest of my group to arrive. Our items for the evening were a Peach Crisp cookie, a Chipwich ice cream sandwich and a Cinnamon Roll brookie! Such fun flavors for the spring. My favorite one was the brookie, then the peach cookie and the ice cream sandwich. Everything was warm and fresh the moment it was given to us. After we tried everything, we scanned a QR code for a survey. I answered honestly and said I'd probably buy everything except the ice cream sandwich. In my opinion, the ice cream in the middle was a little too thick. It should've been thinner to make it easier and less messy to eat. The staff also provided us with a sticker to redeem a complimentary four pack of cookies to go. Everyone we interacted with at this location was helpful and polite! Can't wait to return for more surprise flavors and tastings!

I'm glad I visited as the chocolate is excellent. This tiny store is filled with many different products, mostly chocolates. They have chocolate bonbons in so many awesome flavors including strawberry lemon, honey Taheen, mango passionfruit, espresso, dark chocolate orange, pecan praline, blueberry, carrot cake, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, dark chocolate coconut, dark chocolate raspberry, dark chocolate hazelnut, very berry, sea salt, caramel caramel, apple and yuzu lemon. Those were just today's flavors. There are others in rotation. They also have hot chocolate mixes including a spicy one, granola, jarred candies, candles, bath salts, and packaged chocolate bar pieces. Additionally, they have house-made pastries like chocolate chip cookies, scones, and macaroons. The store then brings in the outside with many plants and cacti and reading material. See my pictures! The very helpful single staffer was able to answer my questions and very friendly. Although I had only purchased one set of seconds, I opted to buy two more on the spot. The bonbons are usually $3 each and come in 3, 5, 10, 15, or 24 packs. When I got back I was highly anticipating the pieces. In one pack I got raspberry and lemon. I have yet to open the other two. What I tried was delicious and had to stop myself from eating them all. Very happy with Aurora Grace Chocolates.
