Overall was pretty delicious. I ordered the Brookie with ice cream on top and my fiancé got the sandwich cookie, both of those were great however, I would give it a 3 star as my choc. Chunk cookie had plastic/wax paper in it not sure how that happened it also was a little underbaked. Otherwise the Brookie and sandwich cookie were good as I said. read more

It's been a long time since I've been to an Insomnia Cookies location. For me it had to have been since my college days as it's usually found on campuses. Walking downtown and decided to stop in for some cookies. The guy working was very friendly and asked if it was our first time stopping in. After we told him it was, he explained everything and made some recommendations. We ordered a box of 6 cookies so we could try a few different ones. They were all warm and delicious. We stopped in after having a date night dinner nearby and it was a strange and frustrating experience. They were not particularly busy and appeared to have at least 4 staff working but we had to wait to even have someone approach the counter. The staff member then seemed to have no idea what cookies were available (perhaps they were new) and we had to repeat our order at least 4 times to 2 different people, then come to find out 1 of the cookies we wanted was still baking so we had to wait. While waiting, we observed multiple other people with the same sort of experience, there just seemed to be a lot of confusion among the staff. There was also a customer who exited and then came back in to wait for a person who was harrassing her to leave, she didn't feel safe leaving alone. This of course is not the establishment's fault and this just happens downtown, but something to be aware of. The cookies were good, I am not going to complain about a big cookie! But they were in my opinion overpriced. I'd only order again when they are having a big sale or promo. I did come to find out later that there was a big promo going on like a BOGO and there was no signage and no staff mentioned it. For full price, it was not worth it. At these prices I'd much rather have Crumbl if there was an option. I don't see myself going back here. read more

heard about how great insomnia cookies are, we've also heard they are a bit pricey. With that in mind, we got three cookies and a loaded brownie. In the end it came out to $18. Employees were friendly. The cookies were inconsistent in size and the taste (for cookies and brownie) was good not great. Solid cookie chain that I fell in love with in Las Vegas. This one offered ice cream along with their cookie creations which was a cool addition. I usually stick to just cookies and that's what I got this time. Double chocolate, mm cookie and triple chocolate chip with a milk. The line wasn't too long but the service was definitely slow. The only good experiences I've had here were during the afternoon when I was the only customer they had, but my last visit with friends was a nightmare. We went there at 10:00 on a Friday night to find the place packed with mostly people waiting to pick up their online orders, and one customer in line ahead of my friends and I. It took about 10 minutes for the employees (I counted 4 on staff that night) to take their order before vanishing into the back and ignoring my friends and me for another 10 minutes. After that time had passed, and about 3 others customers had lined up behind us, a young employee emerged from the back to tell everyone they were closing down the lobby and not accepting anymore orders because they were "overwhelmed". How does a cookie store operated by 4 employees that only throws cookies in ovens and scoops ice cream get "overwhelmed"? How many people does it take to bake cookies? It was unacceptable! I'll give this place 2 stars because the cookies are delicious. The employees are incompetent and make the experience terrible. read more

Waited 35minutes with a packed shop from the counter to the door while two ladies slowly folded boxes to stack on already full shelves, answered the phone, and stood around in the back not helping anyone. Very rude and clueless staff that have a line of people waiting and only managed to somehow take two orders the entire 35minutes we were there. Almost everyone got annoyed and left without ordering. We never gave our order, left, and likely won't be back. read more

I have held off on reviewing this specific Insomnia in hopes that at some point it would improve however no luck! I visited last week and just like any other time I visit, they had little to no cookies and had only been open for 2hrs. They had two women working who were nice however had nothing to offer. They stated they hadn't yet began making any new batches and wouldn't for a while despite only having ~5 different varieties. If you are craving cookies in general go somewhere else but if you are craving these specifically, order them online for store pick up. Although the ordering online will take some time, you will get what you want; just stopping in won't get you anything at this location. read more

Placed an order and paid last week for delivery of cookies to the Children's hospital for adolescent and young adult cancer awareness week. I felt horrible when no order showed up on the day and time of scheduled delivery. I drove to the store at 1pm all doors were locked, lights out and no one answers the phone. I like insomnia cookies - just not this store. Always slow, always out of cookies. Always has an excuse, but never a good experience. Every time I go, they don't have most of their cookies baked and tell me it's going to be 20 minutes. Every time I order delivery, it's at least 45 minutes. This time, it's been nearly an hour and a half since we ordered and we still don't have cookies. I called and was told they had to make the cookies that I ordered. I could have driven to the store, got ingredients, made a batter, and baked three batches of my own cookies by now. I don't buy that it took that long to bake some cookies. read more

Way overpriced for what you get. They have a weird set up for selling their cookies. Nothing is displayed in a case. Everything comes from the back for which you can not see how the cookies are being prepared. The cookies are small and definitely not worth the money. read more

We went late at night (10:30 pm) after dinner to grab some dessert. Got one s'more cookie and one scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. The cookie was super good, but the ice cream was crappy quality and not good by itself...maybe in between two cookies would of been better. They also sold out of ALOT of cookies and ice cream by that hour so go earlier if you want a better selection! read more

Amazing cookies! We all know that cookies are good, but these ones go OFF Pros: -Taste: I ordered the Four Deluxe. I got triple chocolate, s'mores, oatmeal walnut chocolate, and confetti sugar. These cookies were packed with flavor and were warm and gooey. So good. -Size: I know I got the deluxe cookies, but I was pleasantly surprised by just how huge they were. One deluxe cookie could definitely be shared between two people (but could def be tackled by one person too) -Price: four giant cookies for $12?!?! Can't beat that. Unfriendly staff. I walked in to order which apparently isn't allowed. You have to order online. Took super long and I feel bad for any old person trying to figure out how to do that and if you don't have a smart phone then you're out of luck. Not your typical ice cream shop. Just weird. Good cookies but not worth the wait or the hassle of the online ordering. They don't belong on Ionia. read more

Stopped in at about 10pm and after waiting (about 30 minutes) a homeless man appeared in the store and the staff was INCREDIBLY rude to this man. The gentleman at the counter spent most of our time waiting chatting and flirting with ladies in front of us and when we offered to pay for the homeless man's items he then became very short tempered with myself, my husband and our toddler, seemingly rushing us and after paying for the gentleman's items we stated we would rather spend our money elsewhere. The man working the counter became almost hostile demanding an answer to why and stated that he was also homeless and that it wasn't fair for the other man to just walk in and ask for things. For a company that charges nearly $4 for a bottle of water, this outburst of hostility was extremely uncalled for. We hope this employee finds the help he needs and can learn to cope with his situation with a bit more grace. read more

Super yummy! There's an Insomnia Cookies by my university campus in my home state but I've never been. I went to this location after a night of bar hopping and they let us in one minute after closing time (super nice - thank you!). We ordered the Deluxe 6 but when we arrived back to our hotel we had 12 cookies! I'm glad we drunk tipped 100% LOL. Best after drinking munchies. :P read more

We sat outside (there are benches) and just people/dog watched, but there is an indoor that looked pretty cute where you can have your ice cream as well. There is street parking. You can also park across the street in a parking lot for a grocery store.

Upon entering, I heard a muffled under breath from the staff of, "great, they came in two minutes before closing", and a snicker afterwards. They had also started cleaning the floor (way too early) and my three year old slipped and fell. Nobody said a word or said sorry or asked if he was okay. Additionally, the person behind the counter did not greet us or ask if we needed help. Someone finally came from the back to help, but was not super friendly either. Management, take notice.
