Tal, the owner, has a very eclectic collection of artwork, sculptures, and bronzes. When we there a Dr. Seuss exhibition was on display. It was very whimsical and comical. What an incredible treasure to have in downtown Fort Worth.

Milan Gallery celebrates artwork in a much more casual and colorful way, and that's something I really love! Owned and operated by Fort Worth locals (who have contributed several beautiful pieces on display), Milan is a smorgasbord of local, national, and international works of every medium you can think of. Paintings, sculptures, glass work, jewelry, prints, photographs... Id say it's mostly paintings, but in every style imaginable. Abstract works, photo-realistic, impressionist, classical, and more. My favorites are probably the works by Thomas Arvid (I just love wine! I also heard there is an 11 year waiting list for an original creation), Gregory Beck (his sculptures are absolutely gorgeous and so graceful. I love the human figure and his works are extremely elegant), and Ford Smith (he paints the most vibrant and whimsical landscapes). The Dr. Suess works are amazing, of course! M Milan Gallery has shows all the time, so just keep an eye on their website or facebook for upcoming exhibition information. The best part of Milan is that on most Friday and Saturday nights, there's an incredible pianist playing and Tal (the owner) is pouring wine! The staff here is so knowledgeable about the artists and make you feel like family. Tal and Kelly have been especially helpful and welcoming, which makes all the difference in a gallery experience. This is a definite Sundance Square treasure, and I plan to spend many an hour exploring Milan Gallery.

We were able to find a parking quick. We walked in to find some nice tables, chairs and a small Bar. To the left of the Museum was the Information Desk, Restrooms, and Store. The Employees were dressed professional and were watching each room carefully. There was a lot to see. Paintings, Sculptures, Plants etc. We recognized Jackson Pollocks work but there were just a few pieces. I like how large the building is and how beautiful the windows are. I also love how it's surrounded by an oversized pond. I would definitely recommend the Modem Art Museum. It's free on Fridays but a donation is encouraged. They have a large clear box that accepts cash. It's definitely worth your time.

It ranks high among all the museums I've been to in other, especially the museums in NYC (Whitney, MoMA, The Met). There were lots of my favorite artists represented in the shop, including Warhol, Basquiat and Haring. I ended up getting the Velvet Underground tote, a magnet and a bag of Gudetama chips, which made me laugh. It would have been easy to spend a lot more money in the shop, but I decided to take it easy (Haha). The service was really good, as I recall, and everything was reasonably priced. Charming free museum with rich Texas history and fun events!…read more The Amon Carter Museum is a great way to spend a few hours in Fort Worth. It's not very large--mostly one floor--but it's packed with rich Texas and Fort Worth history. The collection is diverse, featuring sculptures, still lifes, landscapes, and more. Every second Thursday, the museum hosts free events! I recently attended one where curators gave a deep dive into a painting, followed by a fun drawing session led by a local art professor. It was a blast, and I can't wait to return! TL;DR: Small but rich in history and art--plus free monthly events make it even more worth a visit!

The best part, of course, is the cattle drive. They do it twice a day at 11:30am and 4:00pm. Beautiful longhorns! You can also view them in the pens after the drive. The highlight for me, of course, was watching the famous cattle drive featuring ENORMOUS Texas longhorn cattle walking right down the middle of the street!!! Yes, I do wish it lasted a little longer, but as an introduction to Texan culture and Stockyards history, it was fantastic and memorable. Second they harass you the day of the event and what i mean by harass they don't walk around to see if you need help however the staff does troll around looking for you to violate a rule. The rules alone are annoying and make it difficult to create a serene environment. Thirdly, and this by far the dumbest of them all. They advertise as a wedding venue, will allow alcohol and beer onsite for guest and will also allow a DJ to play music however there's a no dance in the inside rule .. i know your dumb founded we were too Avoid this place because you will be disappointed.
