Milan Gallery celebrates artwork in a much more casual and colorful way, and that's something I really love! Owned and operated by Fort Worth locals (who have contributed several beautiful pieces on display), Milan is a smorgasbord of local, national, and international works of every medium you can think of. Paintings, sculptures, glass work, jewelry, prints, photographs... Id say it's mostly paintings, but in every style imaginable. Abstract works, photo-realistic, impressionist, classical, and more. My favorites are probably the works by Thomas Arvid (I just love wine! I also heard there is an 11 year waiting list for an original creation), Gregory Beck (his sculptures are absolutely gorgeous and so graceful. I love the human figure and his works are extremely elegant), and Ford Smith (he paints the most vibrant and whimsical landscapes). The Dr. Suess works are amazing, of course! M Milan Gallery has shows all the time, so just keep an eye on their website or facebook for upcoming exhibition information. The best part of Milan is that on most Friday and Saturday nights, there's an incredible pianist playing and Tal (the owner) is pouring wine! The staff here is so knowledgeable about the artists and make you feel like family. Tal and Kelly have been especially helpful and welcoming, which makes all the difference in a gallery experience. This is a definite Sundance Square treasure, and I plan to spend many an hour exploring Milan Gallery.

The staff and everyone we interacted with were very friendly, and the parking was awesome--easy and convenient. General admission is around $16, but if you visit on Friday, admission is free, which makes it an even better value. The location is also great because you can easily walk over to the Kimbell Art Museum and make a full day of exploring the Cultural District. For me, one of the biggest highlights is the building itself. Tadao Ando is one of my favorite architects, so getting to experience one of his buildings in person was really special. I've always looked at those iconic concrete Y-columns and thought of them almost like giant martini glasses holding up the precast concrete roof. The combination of concrete, glass, water, and natural light creates such a peaceful atmosphere. I really love the location, the architecture, and the overall experience. Definitely a museum I would recommend, especially if you appreciate modern architecture.

Being that close to these incredible animals was such a memorable experience. They truly are amazing to see up close. The Stockyards is also a fantastic place to explore, with plenty of great places to eat, unique shops, and that unmistakable Western atmosphere. There's always something fun to discover, whether you're there for the longhorns, the food, the shopping, or simply to soak in the experience. It's definitely a place that never gets old. I had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back again!

The Stockyards are so fun!…read more Being from California we don't have places like this, so this was super fun! Lots of paid parking available. I would say that the price for parking is pretty steep at almost $30/day, but it is what it is. There are tons of shops here and the cattle drive is so fun! We spent an hour or so one day shopping and looking around and then another hour on a different day waiting for the cattle drive at 4pm. I would recommend coming here on a weekday rather than a weekend. It was packed on a Sunday around 5pm. I'm glad we watched the cattle drive at 4pm on a Monday. It was way less crowded. Such a cool place! I hope to be able to come back in the future.

Second they harass you the day of the event and what i mean by harass they don't walk around to see if you need help however the staff does troll around looking for you to violate a rule. The rules alone are annoying and make it difficult to create a serene environment. Thirdly, and this by far the dumbest of them all. They advertise as a wedding venue, will allow alcohol and beer onsite for guest and will also allow a DJ to play music however there's a no dance in the inside rule .. i know your dumb founded we were too Avoid this place because you will be disappointed.
