Moved to the area about 9 months ago and went through 3 salons/stylists before I found Inspirations. The cut and color were both very good, but darn if I can get another appointment! The first time I called..no answer. About 10 minutes later, I called and the person answered "hello?". Since she did not say the business name, I thought I had the wrong number. I said, "I think I have the wrong number," and before I could finish my sentence, she hung up. (I checked, and I did, in fact, have the correct number. Who answers a business phone with "hello"?). Called back one hour later and one day later to no answer at all, just forwarded to voicemail. Sorry, I will not leave a message. I call a business when it is convenient to me, not vice versa. Please! find someone reliable and professional to answer your phone. I have now scheduled an appointment somewhere else. On to my 5th stylist and salon. If they had answered the darn phone and given me an opportunity to go back, I would give 4 stars. read more

I found this salon on Yelp when looking for somewhere in Turlock to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding. I live out of state and didn't know where to go. I left a message on Yelp and immediately heard back from the owner. She told me she'd have one of her employees reach out to me. Vanessa got a hold of me and we scheduled my appointments. Dumitru is exactly that. Not only does he give me a fabulous cut but he explains how to care for my hair and tips and tricks to get the most out of my style everytime. I needed someone to fix a bad pixie cut. Dumitru & Sonia came recommended....I text them and they both were super sweet responding the same day. Dumitru was booked, but let me know his next available appointment in case Sonia didn't have a spot open....Sonia got me in the same day & saved my cut. I got an under cut pixie cut at another place & it was no bueno. Sonia took the time to listen to what I wanted & paid attention to how I styled it when I came into the salon. She was able to give me edgy, short, yet feminine cut I wanted. Sonia is talented and didn't judge me when I told her I tried to fix it myself. I normally cut my hair myself because I figure a bad cut by me is better than paying for a bad cut. Sonia restored my faith in hair stylists! I will go to her from now on. read more

Finding a hair person is so hard. So hard. I had been lucky for years to have had my girl, but alas, good things don't last. After doing some research, I found Inspirations and gave them a ring. The lovely Edith picked up, and I booked my appointment with her. I'm so glad I did! I'm so glad she answered!! I showed her two pics of hair ideas, and she was able to tell me the pros and cons for both...and she gave me her recommendation based on what I'd told her. I don't like to give bad reviews, so this is a first for me. About a month ago I had an appointment with Angie. Everything turned out bad. My hair is so dry and the haircut is not good. Told her I wanted a cut and would also like to have a change of color and get the red out. She said it would take a couple of times to do that. But she did it in the one appt. The color at first looked light ash brown then turned grayish pink and now it just looks gray even though I said I didn't want any gray in my hair. I called her and told her and I was told that I understood the process. She didn't offer for me to come in so she could see it or didn't suggest any solutions. She is the professional, and she shouldn't have done anything that could possibly ruin my hair. I Cant even style it. I paid $250 plus a $20 tip which she said should have been more. My hair has never been so damaged I'm all my years, very disappointing especially with the amount of money I paid. read more

Dumitru is beyond detail oriented! He had one hell of a job with my massive amounts of hair! What I wanted was extremely difficult to achieve and he held in there and produced!! I wouldn't wish this task on anyone! He was upfront and honest about everything. I'm pretty laid back and said "hey, if you can do it, cool". I honestly think he has higher expectations for himself and his work then his customers have. To say I went to a salon and got my hair colored does not even begin to explain what transformation was achieved. On a side note, while I was waiting for my turn in the chair he was finishing up with a guy who had the most awesome massive beard I've ever seen! This guys hair cut and beard trim were amazing. This salon not only has full amenities such as micro blading but it also has a boutique of home decor. The location makes it ideal for a full day with your girlfriends. Naturally, I have really, WILD, primitive cave woman hair! Sonia suggested a Keratin treatment to help with frizziness and reduce the time it takes to get ready. I was kind of skeptical at first, not sure if I'd notice a big difference , but it INSTANTLY worked WONDERS!!! My hair has literally never felt so silky, shiny and soft!!! Horrible customer service my significant other went in to get her hair done and completely ruined her hair and wasent what she hoped or asked for at all ! And on top of that she was ridiculously overcharged for hair color and cut and the stylist said she would fix it for free but then changed her mind and after all still wanted to charge her to fix her hair after she messed it up. I know the stylist who did her would be upset if someone messed up their own her and was getting charged to fix it i know she wouldnt pay the $170+ for some messed up hair . The review isnt about the bussiness more toward the hair stylist you deserve zero stars if i could rate it that low read more

Vanessa is amazing. She does my hair but I've seen her make up and waxing jobs also. Gorgeous work and more than that, gorgeous girl -inside and out. I went in today with a migraine (because even THAT doesn't make you miss hair day!). She is always sweet and pleasant and a joy to be around but today, she took care of me: got me tea, had me rest in a dark quiet room while my color processed, gave me extra attention at the shampoo bowl with a head massage and then got me home as quickly as possible.
