I asked for a low-maintenance, edgy, mid length, layered shag cut specifically asking them to err long. I left with a blunt, shoulder-length "football helmet" cut that does not suit my hair type AT ALL or style preferences. The stylist was unprofessional, spent the appointment complaining about personal issues, and the final result was a complete failure to meet the agreed-upon service. So sad to say Avoid this salon...or at least be cautious with your stylist and walk out if you get a bad feeling early.

Go elsewhere, listen to the community, and always have a voice to speak up to these type of owners. All I can say is one word... cheesy! Fix this and be professional. Always ask what's the price going to be after the plan is made on what they're going to do your hair. 2. If they ask or comment about doing something to your hair at all again ask what is going to be the price. 3. Doesn't hurt to tell them over phone or sitting with stylist, how you plan on only paying a certain amount & no more. 4. Ask them your options on if you're not satisfied with your hair. I usually stick it on top of my head in a bun because I have no patience to deal with it. It's thick, it's hot and it's miserable to deal with in the Summer months. Washing and brushing it is a chore. I have asked many hair stylists over the years to thin out and layer my hair in a certain way, and few have come through. Erin did exactly what I wanted, most importantly thinning it out the way I like. I no longer feel like my hair is a miserable blanket. Thick haired ladies know what I'm talking about. Now on to the coloring. I dyed my hair at home a month or so ago, and it ended up a brassy orange that did not match my skin tone at all. Erin got rid of it and did a much more flattering dark root with subtle rose gold (can't have crazy colors at work). Best bayalage transition I have ever seen. Many stylists have to curl their clients hair in photos to hide poor color blending. And the color matches my skin tone and eyes perfectly! Erin was extremely meticulous in her work, and I would feel confident letting her do just about anything to my hair. Whether you have thick hair or not, everyone at Salon Metropolis works together as a team and they are all more than qualified to take on any challenge.
