We had another company come and professionally clean it at one point and they confirmed poor workmanship--it was never sealed, and was mixed with far too much water. We will have to redo the entire kitchen floor at some point in the near future.

The list of excuses ranged from the quality of air in the warehouse where the cabinets were stored to the quality of cabinets that we purchased and that they made too many trips to our house. Most railing companies said that they couldn't do it. MetalArc was one of the few willing to accept the challenge and the unknowns that came with it. They worked hard to understand my vision and priorities. I am very particular in what I want and don't want. They respected that and were not put off by it. They are very, very kind people. The project gave them challenges beyond their expectations, but they were patient and stuck with it each time. I am thrilled with the final result. On my end, there were a few challenges as well. I had to be extremely patient with the schedule. The project was bid at a flat rate, however, they increased it when they had a better understanding of the project. This was after I was already committed and had made a large deposit. I was frustrated by that because I thought the project was clear from the beginning since I had a picture of what I wanted to replicate. The payment installments were confusing and, as things took longer, they added new installments. I had to be firm that the final installment would be paid when the project was done. They had a few employees turnover which directly impacted my project. All but one did great work; but the one caused some major hiccups as did the transitions in general. We finished the project as a team. The results are beautiful. We are on good terms. We are planning to work together again, thankfully on a much more straightforward project!

The level of refinement that we were looking for with these doors was not a hurdle they shied away from but rather they accepted the challenge and worked side by side with me to get it exactly right. It is a lost art in today's day and age. I was impressed time and time again with his clarity and thoughtfulness in every conversation and email. He admitted fault and promised he would do the right thing. A year and a half of empty promises, and still nothing. He has come up with every excuse in the book of why he hasn't done anything yet, and because I am a reasonable and compassionate person, I have given him plenty of time to do the right thing. They never called to confirm or anything, I never really knew they were going to show or not. Upon first inspection carpet looked good as it should after cleaning and raked. And I checked to see if the repairs to carpet were done. Repairs looked good. Now the bad. The cleaning seemed half assed. There were areas that were completely dry! Like by the stairs and walls. Didn't even attempt to move an ottoman to clean under it. For $199 to do repairs and clean 2 rooms seemed high but the fact they only did 2 traffic areas and repairs for $199 is stupid. What really gets me upset is the fact the carpets still are not cleaned. I walked in my socks after 6 hours of drying and socks are brown like no cleaning or suction was done it's very disappointing the quality of the cleaning. A rental rug doctor would do a better job then this!
