Around 11:30 a.m., I arrived, and by noon, I had completed my assignment. Fem, a young woman, agreed to take on my project, and I met with her. She consulted a technician and gave me a price of $20 when I asked for an estimate for a job like this. The extra $10 was going to be a tip for my tech, Jeremiah, since I was planning to pay $30. I decided to go with the El Cerrito location and paid $99 for each repair. I was starting school again on May 4, so I dropped my laptop off about a week before classes started. The same day, I got a call saying my MacBook Pro was being shipped to their main repair center in New York. I told them I didn't want it shipped, but they said it was already too late and I would need to contact the insurance company. They told me to wait 24 hours. After about 2 days I checked again and they said it was already being repaired. Thankfully, everything worked out.
