I had a complicated job in replacing the door to the utility room: needed a standard exterior door (1 3/4") hung on an interior-door-sized door frame (1 3/8"). I've learned that this is a problem with old houses. And Victor was great! He was very careful when cutting into the door frame and fit the door flush as if it was meant to be that size all along. Really precise work. He had great suggestions regarding hardware and picked everything up from Home Depot for me. It was not cheap but good work rarely is. The reason why I hired Victor to fix my door was because the door would not close properly, and I had to pull the door to lock the deadbolt. Victor has to take the door off to fix. He upgraded to high-quality hardware that will last and looks good, too. He engineered a custom side edge so it would fit the existing opening with a proper seal. And he also replaced all the weather stripping. To help me paint the door myself, Victor went the extra mile and "blue taped" the door with fine precision. He even molded the blue tape to the hardware and protected the glass. This saved me tons of time prepping to paint the lovely door so it will last for decades (or longer). Victor was absolutely amazing! He transformed a pocket door entrance in my house into a regular entryway, by installing brand new wooden trim/framing and a new door slab. It looks absolutely PERFECT and no one could tell that it was originally a hollow space with a sliding/pocket door. He spent so much time making sure that the door looks perfect and functions without any issues, and trimmed it very evenly. It was difficult because of uneven areas that were there originally.
