3 for 3 (when it comes to Installation King installing TVs in my house) 5 Stars All the Way!!! ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! This is yet another update to this stellar company. There is a reason why I have used this company 3 times...they are quite simply...THE BEST...PERIOD. I was looking to update our living room's TV. I recently sold our 2014 65" Sony XBR65X850B 65" 4K Ultra HD 3D TV to upgrade to a Sony X81CH 75" Smart TV. Interestingly enough, Alex from Installation King was the one who installed / mounted (& actually cleaned up the messy installation job of the previous -now defunct- company) back in September 2020 (you can refer to my very 1st review here). I reached out to Installation King via Yelp message, & sure enough, Kate L. responded within a few minutes. I told her what I would like done & more importantly, that I would like to specifically request "Alex" since he had installed 2 previous TVs - including the very TV that he would be contracted to replace this time. Kate did not hesitate to accommodate my every need. Her communication skills are 2nd to none as she is quite quick with her response. Specific recognition should be acknowledged for Kate because she is a true asset to the company. If management is reading this, please give Kate a raise. She is nothing short of PHENOMENAL. Fast forward a few days later to the day of the installation (I was out of town on business, so Alex kindly waited for my availability), Alex calls me about 45 minutes prior to his scheduled arrival time. Sure enough, he arrived perfectly on-time. Not only that, he is one of the most courteous people that you will ever meet. And he is one of the foremost experts on TV's, soundbars, & mounts. Personally, I was unsure if my current mount would support a 75" TV. Alex could tell that it would be no problem just from looking at the mount. Sure enough, he was right. Not only that, he went from opening the brand new TV from its box to mounting it to the wall (I helped him lift it as it is a 2-man job) in less than 20 minutes (he was scheduled for 2 hours). The man is a TV mounting god. Also, Alex did not hesitate to answer all of my questions regarding what my options were if I decided to upgrade to an 85" TV in the future. You can bet your bottom dollar that there is no one else that I would want to install my future TV's & soundbars more than Installation King, & more specifically, Alex. Seriously, this company never fails to impress me. Trust me, these guys / business is the ABSOLUTE BEST. Thank you again, Alex & Kate (& everyone over at Installation King). After a disastrous experience with another company (our $1500 tv fell off the brick wall and smashed on the floor because they didn't do the install correctly and used incorrect materials) we decided to call Installation King. I spoke to a wonderful lady, Tatiana, and explained what had happened with our previous installation with the other company, and that we had to purchase another tv. Tatiana asked a few questions and once she realized our installation was a little more complicated, she suggested Alex their top tech should come out and do our install. Alex was top notch! Professional, knowledgeable and meticulous. He made sure our tv was super secure in the brick wall, and took his time to do the job right. We just moved into new to our new home and scheduled Installation King to mount 3 TVs. They gave me a two hour window from 12PM-2PM. I called at the two our mark and was told they needed to call the tech and get back to me. I then was told that the tech was held up at another job and was stuck in traffic. The tech text and said he was hours out. I responded with I will see you at 4pm. I wanted the work done, I took the day off and was willing to wait the extra couple hours. At 4:45 he yet to arrive. I will preface this review with I am a returning customer. Two years ago they assisted in my first move and it was seamless with no issues. For this move, I booked the service on 10/17/2024 knowing that I was on a tight timeline to move. The installation was supposed to occur on 11/2/2024 and Installation King even picked the 10-12 p.m. window because it was most convenient for them. I waited until 12:15 p.m. and called. My reservation was not in their system (even though they confirmed through email). The gentleman on the phone claimed to have no access to the company email and appear frustrated when I kept referencing the information in the email. The offered solution was having a tech come on 11/03 -- after I don't have keys for the unit where the mounts on. Overall, the service is great. The customer service is not. UPDATE: I spoke to Tatiana. She was very apologetic and offered to make the situation right if I had not hired someone already -- which I did because it needed to be done on the day it was scheduled for. I really appreciate her customer service. She made me feel like she really was sorry. However, Installation King noted they checked their call logs and did not get a call from me. On 11/1/2024 I googled their number, called it, and asked if it was installation king. The person said yes. Even IF I called the wrong number, I emailed Installation King at 11:23 A.M. on 11/01/2024 stating: "If the installation person needs to call me when they are here my number is xxx-xxx-xxxx." No response was ever received. The insinuation that I called the wrong number even after I emailed them my number to reach out is frustrating especially since Installation King acknowledges they received the email. I hate leaving reviews like this. But after repeated phone calls and me acknowledging everything is fine, to continue to say they did not get a call when they acknowledge they got the email is tiresome. Amazing customer service!!! Installation King installed a 65" TV in my living room and a 48" TV in my master bedroom, then came back to install three more 43" TVs in each of my guest rooms. So, 5 TVs in total, and they do have a returning customer discount. Alex, my technician, was prompt (and texted me when he was on the way with an ETA both times, which was right on time), friendly, and helpful. He had good recommendations as to where and how high to hang the TV's and what type of mounts to use. He talked me out of the fixed mount, and I'm so grateful for that (I wanted it to be as close to the wall as possible, but honestly, the fixed still wouldn't be completely flush and I really don't mind the gap with the tilt mount). He took time to get the job done right and make sure that I was happy. When he forgot to charge me for the mounts, Installation King gave me a discount on the charge. On the second install, I wasn't completely happy with the way the TV looked when mounted (it wasn't perfectly centered due to where the studs on my walls are) and he used a more expensive mount that would enable it to be perfectly centered, without charging me extra. They even offered to come back and patch and paint the holes in the wall caused by having to use a different mount (for free). I also wanted one of the TV's from the first job to be a bit more flush to the wall when in the non-tilt position, and Alex took it off and tightened the screws for me. I later had DirecTV installed and realized that one of the HDMI cables that I had purchased from Installation King to be dropped through the wall wasn't working, and Alex came back a couple mornings later (at my requested day and time), to replace the cable. We scheduled an appointment with Installation King for Tuesday around 4-6pm during our office hours. About an hour passed by and we hadn't gotten any notification from them for an ETA. We called and asked roughly when they should be arriving, and they kept giving us really bad excuses. They said they've called us "about 30 times". ( we received no calls, not even a voice message or text. If someone doesn't answer the phone, you should consider these options. ) They mentioned that they "sent someone over" but everyone at our office says no one had come in to install. Our warehouse gate is WIDE open during hours of operation so we don't miss anyone and we are the only open suite in our small plaza of two offices. You can just walk up and talk to any available person there. Just being unnecessarily rude over the phone about our appointment which THEY have missed and made absolutely no effort into getting contact with us. For context, my partner and I tried to DIY mount our 32" inch TV with instructions off Youtube, thinking "oh it's a smaller TV, we can do it!" Bought a mount from Mounting Dream and... we hit a snag in the wall, and spent 2 weekends researching and trying different methods... and could not do it. So, we called in the pros. After a snafu with Best Buy, we decided on Installation King. We had a 12-2pm appointment, and Alex arrived early at 11:45am or so, saying it would take 15 minutes. He wore a mask and brought shoe covers (yes!), had me show him the height I wanted the TV to be at, taped a trash bag to the wall to catch the dust, and he set off doing his work. I didn't time him, but 15 min was a good estimate of how long he took, give or take 5 min. Paid with Venmo, reasonable price of $99. Extremely impressed with how quickly and cleanly he did the job. It was the end of April and my new 82" 4K TV was delivered. I've mounted many tv's in my time and figured this would be the same. Oh little did I know, this was more than I could handle. So after scouring the net for a local installer who would work during COVID-19, I ran across TV Guy Jay.
