The shop you have been going to for 15 years don't have the time to help you or are too faraway. My car had been totaled. And it was faraway from home in Salem, MA. It had very expensive speakers and amplifier which I had to remove before it was sent to salvage. I called everyone I knew. I was desperate to get my stuff off the car. I talked to some people I could barely understand. I called a shop where some weird music was being played as their ring tone. Auto Sound saved my life! I had given up on good customer support in this world. Whether you pay $1k per month or $70k per month I have seen some bad customer support. I can tell you these guys rank high up there with the best of the best. I can give you names of some big corporate businesses where no matter how much money you throw at them you get bad support. This is how customer support should look like and I can tell you there were the best people I have ever talked to about anything, anywhere. There was some real empathy for my situation. They went above and beyond. Well beyond above and beyond. If I am spending $100 on anything, after this experience I would like it to go to these folks. At the end of the day, it does not matter what they are selling and which brands they deal with. These people will look after you with the kind of empathy you probably only see from close family. Don't take your money elsewhere. If you have anything to do with anything in cars, you won't get better looked after anywhere else. I have a weekly review with a company, my company pays big bucks to deal with. I am adding this place to the list of best customer support from any vendor I have seen - in the big leagues. Their own estimate puts the hole repair on the customer in writing. All in: nearly $37,000. Meanwhile my first-floor tenant was told she couldn't use her bathroom or her kitchen. When I hesitated at the number, I was told that at least if I sold the house I'd "have retail value." That's the line that made me stop and get a second opinion. Thompson Plumbing came out, found the actual leak -- old hubbed cast iron serving the kitchen -- and repiped it. $2,995. My final invoice was $3,420, and that included an unrelated frost-free silcock I added on. My toilet was fine. My kitchen sink was fine. My tenant's kitchen and bathroom were fine. Not one wall was demoed. Same house. Same leak. Ten percent of the price. I'm not going to speculate about why the two assessments were so far apart. I'll just say this: if 128 Plumbing tells you your house needs a $30,000 repipe, get a second quote before you sign anything. (Quick tip: Some plate-mounted cameras can obstruct part of your license plate, like the state name or motto, which could technically get you pulled over for plate obstruction!) Lots of work! The guys at David Electric came & did me up. The cost was well under the price I had expected to pay. The employees were prompt, neat, polite and cleaned up after themselves (yay!). In the years since I've had them out for a few other lighting changes. My beautiful expensive dining room chandelier had some manufacturing issues. The hooks used to hold up the chandelier would break. Yeah always fun to look into the dining room and see the chandelier hanging by two out of three arms! But the boys at David Electric replaced all the bad hooks once I got replacements. Next big job is to replace some seriously old wiring. Got a great price on the job. Now I'm just saving up my pennies so I can afford it. No doubt as to who I am gonna call when I'm ready though!

I contacted R.H. Young after a heat pump in which they had installed a new motor and serviced…read morenearly a year ago stopped heating. The motor replacement had been done on their recommendation, as my 14-year-old heat pump was beginning to get loud. I was told that after the repairs I could then get many more years of service out of the heat pump, and paid $1840 for the work. They sent out a service technician to check why it wasn't heating. He determined the freon had leaked out and I'd have to schedule any additional repairs with the office. He also said that he would never have repaired a 14-year-old heat pump and would just have recommended replacing it. There was an $220 service charge for his work. When I called the office they said it could take an additional $1000 to track down the source of the leak, (I had never had a leak previous to their work on the heat pump) and provide new freon. I asked to speak to the manager to see if there was a better solution than paying another $1000, when I had already paid them over $2000 for a repair I had gotten very little value for. The manager called when I was out, but said he would call again in the next two days. I called back at his number and got an answering service where I left a message. I never received another call back from him. Apparently RH Young's customer service ends when the customer's check clears. I went ahead and installed a new heat pump, but not through RH Young.

The minute I said "steep", the lady got mad and hung up the call, here's the kicker - she accidentally didn't drop the call fully and I overheard her saying I'm so annoying and complaining about steep fees and I should go somewhere else, and the most shocking part was when she said "they" are now becoming the minority (talking to someone in the background). Wow just wow. I'll let you make out your interpretation of that. I'm trying to make light of the situation - While she basked in her rudeness, I kept the line open and got to hear some terrible humming to Michael Jackson - The way you make me feel.
