Hi there! I am sending an updated review, it has been almost 20 days since my last review regarding my Nail Fungus. I had received gel X and supposedly I didn't realize that there were gaps in between my nail and the false nail. The day after I sent in the last review, the manager reached out to me with a full refund. As my nurse told me, "it is safe to say, always make sure your false nails are COMPLETELY sealed since that was the reason for the fungus growing underneath my nail." Unfortunately, I can not receive new nails for sometime. I truly hope this will not happen to anyone else, Instyle Nail Spa, "please take this into consideration." Although, my nail is still healing and being treated the manager of InStyle was eager to make it right with a full refund. Thanks, Kyra

My wife and I got a pre wedding mani/pedi done here. We traveled from NV to FL for our wedding and found Instyle. My wife was looking for "Gel X" nails. Instyle was one of the only nail salons in the surrounding area that did it (let alone even heard of it). We were able to make same day appointments. The location is extremely clean, staff is very friendly and very good at what they do. My wife had a nail break the next day, however they got her back in and fixed it without a problem.

In a matter of less than 24 hours, my careful at-home nail and hand care over the last 15+ years has been undone. My cuticles are shredded, my nails are bendy, brittle, and impossibly thin, and had to be cut all the way back following removal of the botched manicure from this salon. This was my first time coming to a salon for a manicure, so at the time I genuinely had no clue how badly they were butchering my hands. After a painful experience and messy finish, I decided to look up whether this was normal - was everyone really going through this just for nails? Turns out, nothing about this experience was normal. The tech used the electric file on my cuticles, leaving them torn open and bloody in 5 different places. He didn't trim my natural nails before placing the tips, so there were massive gaps between the two (aka the perfect spot for moisture to enter and bacteria to fester). The gel was piled on so thick over top, and applied so sloppily that it spilled over the edge of my nail onto my skin and was cured there. His station and tools were messy and unkempt, and now that I've realized just how bad this place was about sanitation, I'm terrified that I'm going to get some kind of infection. The end result was super thick nails with sloppy edges that I could feel pulling painfully at my natural nails every time my fingers moved. Though I was (and am still) extremely upset about the waste of money, I knew I couldn't leave my nails this way, and found a much more reputable salon the next day to remove this nightmare manicure. They were as gentle as they could be, but the damage was done. Because of the busted application they had to soak my nails for a very long time, and while they tried to use the scraper to minimize damage, they ended up needing to use the electric file for most of it because it would. Not. Come. Off. What should have taken 30 minutes maximum took over an hour. My nails are left in the worst shape they've EVER been in, and I am embarrassed to have anyone see them. Let this be a cautionary tale. For the sake of your hands and your health, take your business literally anywhere else. I guess it's like they say - if you want something done right, do it yourself. I'll be sticking with my at-home manicures for the foreseeable future.

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Actually, they can keep one star for the very sweet woman that works the front desk. I've seen everyone but Julie and am constantly disappointed. Today was by far the worst as I sat with Mike. Mike put on tips and then did dip and a design. I was unhappy with the length and shape of my nails. I asked Mike the first time to change them, he said sure. I asked a second time, he didn't respond but sighed like it was an inconvenience. I asked a third time, which he ignored. I should have stopped here but didn't. He told me the design I chose was easy and thanked me for the design. Comical. The paint job he did was awful, as seen in the photos. I can't even put more energy into writing how bad it was. But that wasn't the worst part. Mike cut me six times. 6. I'm on blood thinners and bleed very easily. I made a comment each time he cut me. Despite that and my visible blood, he continued to drill away. I was visibly upset and it was apparent. Julie, the owner, sits up front and saw I was upset but did nothing. I can't believe I paid $60 to bleed and have painful nails. Whatever photos they're posting of designs are not representative of the work they do- stay away!

I've been coming to this nail salon for a few months now and love love it! I tried a few others in the area and they didn't have the professionalism, experience, and cleanliness as this salon has. I get gel manicures and as someone who trains BJJ daily and use my hands a lot at work in the hospital, they actually last over 2-3 weeks which I love. Mimi is my favorite nail tech, she gets is right every time and is so efficient!

Tucked away in a small plaza on Yamato right next to a Dunkin Donuts, InStyle Nail Spa is definitely a hidden gem. Woman-owned local small business, this facility is clean and currently taking limited customers to keep everyone safe. They have convenient hours so working folks can make it after work. I made an appointment for Thursday evening but got caught up at work and then completed stuck in traffic and called the owner Julie in a panic cause I was late to my appointment. She was super sweet and accommodating. I wanted a dip powder manicure and gel pedicure but I knew there was no time to do both before the store closed. Julie still let me go and I got to do the manicure. Ann did my nails and she was a little rushed but she still did a good job. I had quite a bit of glue and color on my cuticles and side nail beds but I was able to clean it off the next day. I came back in the morning and Julie did my pedicure. She's great at attention to detail. She was even able to do an adorable free hand heart design I saw on Pinterest. Love it! My only complaint is the water in the tub for soaking your feet was cold. But everything else was amazing and I'll definitely be going back to support the local Asian business.

I'm happy i found this place! I went in for half leg waxing, eyebrow clean up and spa pedi. They worked on accommodating me since i needed a same day appointment. The leg waxing was slow and meticulous and The practitioner could use a little practice pulling off the entire strip at once. Aside from a few painful glitches the work was done very well! My eyebrows were also done very well, and i was nervous because in the past at other places they go too thin, but yay great job here. The spa pedi was relaxing and a nice treat, and my toenails were cut nice and short as i asked.

Update: 48 hours and a second gel x nail has totally popped off.

This is 48 hours into my gel x nails and a 2nd nail has totally popped off leaving only the cured white-ish gel adhering my gels x nail to my natural nail. I had to use a file and nippers to remove the rest of the cured material that was under the gel x nail "SUPPOSEDLY" adhering it to my nail. Cool. :/

I recently moved to Florida and have bounced around a couple different salons. This is by far the best one I have found! They do art and they shape nails better than any other salon I've seen. Mike was my nail tech and he was incredible. Everybody in the salon was sweet and kind. The energy was great. Mike was awesome with any design that I brought to the table... And he was able to do my nails thin like I like them. I will absolutely be coming back. Recommend this place for anybody

I went there yesterday for the first time and I was very impressed. Wayne did my nails. I had nexgen and he did a beautiful job. Julie was at the next table I must say she is so pleasant. Every time she answered the phone she knew each person on the other end and she was welcoming to everyone that walked into the shop. This is the place that I would like to come back to. I have been very hesitant to get my nails done due to COVID-19. Upon entering this nail spa, I knew I had made the right decision to go there. Julie was finishing up with a customer. She advised me to sign in, then told me wash my hands. I really liked that there were signs posted asking customers to wash their hands prior to their service (signs about masks being required were also posted). Plexiglass has been installed at the reception, manicure tables, and pedicure chairs. I watched Julie as she sprayed down the entire pedicure chair before asking me to sit. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from. Julie did an amazing job! I was the only customer in the place for my entire service. I'm not sure if that's because I went on a Tuesday during lunch or what, but if you're trying to go when it's unlikely for other customers to be there, I would definitely go during the week. I couldn't have felt more comfortable or safe. I will happily return here again. read more

Wow. I made an appointment on Tuesday for the following day at 1 PM, for two of us with a bottle of champagne. When we arrived, they waved us to a couple of pedi chairs at the back and that was it. For 25 minutes, no one ran water, asked us to pick colors or interacted with us at all. Finally, a guy came up to me and said, "Which one of you do you want me to do first?" Are you kidding? We both want a pedicure at the same time, and not after waiting half an hour. Needless to say, we left. read more

I believe its better to put up a sign and say no talking on the phone. I was on the phone talking to my cousin for at least 15 minutes into the service when I was told to lower my volume this is a relaxing environment. I decided to leave due to I've talked on the phone in other nail salons. this is not a SPA, it's a small salon. and if you see someone is on the phone then you need to tell them immediately to be sure to watch their volume. but that's crazy bc if I wasn't on the phone I would have been talking to the person that was doing my nails. I believe she just didn't want any talking bc I wasn't loud at all. even my cousin who heard through the phone was shocked bc we have never experienced this. i won't be back of course but warning don't talk on the phone at all. My volume wasn't a problem . sea place just put up a sign saying no phone calls. went to another place that was a bit higher in price and me and another woman was on the phone and it was still relaxing for everyone. I dislike leaving bad reviews but that was my experience. read more

Update: 8 of my nails lifted and my regular place now has to fix it. This has never happened before. InStyle nail spa did more damage than good. I literally have to completely redo the acrylic on my nails which will cost me a lot of money. I regret ever going to this horrible place. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. I had an acrylic fill manicure there today and quite honestly was in shock with the end result. I specifically asked ahead of time for my cuticles to be trimmed which was not done despite me asking the tech (Michael) 3 times for that. My usual manicure takes 2.5 hours and Michael did it in 45 minutes. He didn't trim cuticles and instead applied acrylic paste right over top. Didn't even file my nails after applying new acrylic layer, cut one of my fingers with a drill attachment while removing old nail polish. I didn't see those drill attachments being sterilized after each client. They still had acrylic dust on them when I sat down. Hopefully, I don't get an infection. I regret coming to this place. Michael skipped the edges and sides of my nails while applying nail polish and got the polish all over my skin instead. Didn't seem happy when I kept asking about trimming cuticles. My nails look absolutely horrible! I will never be back to this place. read more

So Steven did an incredible job on my nails and I would've given 5 stars if it wasn't for the rushed pedicure and the 50 minutes I sat waiting in the pedicure chair with my feet soaking in water because they overbooked themselves. I had an appt scheduled for 330 and didn't get out until 630. The pedicure was over priced for the little amount she did. Disappointing. Worth it for the beautiful nails Steven does. read more

Don't recommend my friend and I usually come here pretty often and they're usually good but all of us had terrible service this time... 3 of us went in and from the second we got there they started laughing at us because we couldn't find a color and said we were 20 minutes late when we were only five minutes late due to traffic continued to laugh at us and judge the whole time. they we're rushing and cut mine and my friends skin. left nail polish all over her skin on my friend and on my other friend didn't do the product she asked for nor did they do the color she asked for and then still charged her more. pushed my friend to do a different product then she wanted to do and charged her more for it. charged me five dollars for a one tip since one of my nail broke and I did acrylics and usually it's two dollars. very disrespectful costumer service and charges more. read more

Instyle Nail Spa is a beautiful nail salon on the east side of Boca. Julie and her staff are very curious, kind, and talented. They are one of only a very few Nail salons that offer liquid gel nail. Since at work I am washing my hands very often, as most of us are nowadays, liquid gel is the best product for me. They offer many different finger nail and pedicure services as well as spa services. The salon is clean and maintained beautifully. Additionally, the pedicure chairs are much more comfortable than others I've experienced. I highly recommend them! read more

InStyle Nail spa is simply the best! I discovered this hidden gem the day nail salons opened back up in Palm Beach County--and I am so glad that I did! For starters, Julie (the owner) is amazing. She is sweet, accommodating, and customer oriented, and pays close attention to detail when doing nails and toes. The salon is clean and tidy--a perfect spot to relax. I do not normally leave low rate feedback with such long commends, but I really did left with unhappiness actually quite angry. 2 ladies are nice, even the young lady is not that skilled, but that's not a problem; but after they pass me to another man for my French nail down, everything is just not good and rude, really mot the right way to treat the customer that way, there are quite bubbles on my nail after the base layer of the gel, i mentioned to him, and he said it will be ok after another layer, then those bubbles are not fixed, I have nicely mentioned and told showed him not just once, but he is so not patient with impolite gestures and sighing sounds, just rushing to put white color on top of it instead nicely fix or correct them, leave my nails looks thick and uneven. Truly the worse experience ever, not worth 80 dollar for such feel, although I still left 20 dollar tips, just feel sorry for others in the salon. Hope no one else gets the same. Thank you read more

Our brand new salon was opened January 25,2020. This is our first salon in Boca Raton, Florida. I came from Illinois, I owned and managed 5 salon in the past 20 years. I have been in the beauty industry for 25 years. Very seasoned with skills and experience, My focus is on my customers, my goal is to provide the best salon service to each one of my customers. Have been three times to InStyle. My first visit was with Stephen who fit me in because I didnt have an appt. I got tips with dip. He did a really great job and my nails lasted almost a month. My second visit I did not get the technicians name. I showed her a pic of what I wanted. Dark blue with a design on ring finger. Got to the end and I had blue chrome and no design. As everyone knows by that point I wasnt going to have her redo my ring fingers. They were okay but not what I wanted. She did my pedicure and it was good. These nails didn't last as long for some reason. Third visit I had Michael. Showed him a pic and he replicated it. I'll definitely go back but at this point I will only see Michael or Steven if available. The front desk receptionist is always very nice and accommodating. read more
