I showed a reference picture and what i got was nothing like the picture. The shape is sloppy, the powder is all over my cuticles and they are short nails. I came in at 610p on Wednesday to get my nails done. Lisa was amazing She was sweet and asked me what I wanted. However, look at the picture. My nails are uneven in color Uneven in shape The acrylic isn't even My left stiletto nail is a different length on the left vs right My stones fell off on day 2 due to her setting it in the pink polish vs curing it first. I was charged $10 for long nails and my nails are not LONG I was charged $20 just for gel Polish on my nails. For them to look bad on day 3. It's Friday! This is horrible. I can't believe this place doesn't have a 5 star average. I moved to Dallas from California, 12 years ago. Hair and nails were a priority. I asked people, tried out places and did a deep dive search on my own to find the best. Well, I've gone to a couple of nail salons in my area and found that InStyle seems to be the most consistent and best. Of course I have my favorite people here to do my nails and pedi. I hate to tell you who they are, because I don't want them to get too busy that I can't get in! Mai, Jane, and Lisa are my favs! I have delicate sensitive cuticles and Lisa is very gentle and cares. I find that refreshing! And Jane? Best pedicure ever. If you splurge and get the expensive one ($65 I think), it includes a neck and upper back massage that is amazing. Jane is fantastic! The owner's name is Vin, and he is funny and really nice! He will make you a cocktail of your choosing. Just relax, enjoy this fabulous experience and thank me later for recommending them. I am a cosmetologist so I know how the service business works. I would never recommend this place! I just rushed through a what supposed to be relaxing pedicure I was hurt a couple of times with no acknowledgment from her. I have a dip fill. He was a little more gentle! But I now paid 50$ and have no nails. He cut them down way to short!!! When I asked for a shaping! The most annoying thing was the laughter and loud chatter in there language!! Followed by eating corn next to me ! I have never wrote a bad review!! Because of my profession !! However I felt like a herd of cattle being rushed through for a hoof trim !! Awful experience!! Update : NEW OWNERS THANK GOODNESS!!! It's a brand new day at Instyle Nails thank goodness. First off the place finally looks like it has had a good cleaning. Gone are the silk or plastic plant dust catchers that were everywhere as well as lots of the junky decor. The next thing that is all shinny and clean is the fish tank. Beautiful fish,lights and clean water now make the large tank a focal point. Finally the place is just clean and fresh looking when you walk in. The new owner Ven worked here for 7 years and knows what it takes to deliver top notch service and nails. My daughter and I enjoyed mani pedis and left with beautiful nails. Another thing I loved?? The way the nail colors are now displayed -- on a little tower instead of in plastic tubs with 100s of options and confusion. (See picture!) I think this place is going to keep getting better and will be back on my go to list for nails!! read more

I came in to get my nails done on Saturday. I was there for awhile so I didn't check my nails when she was done. I came home and was so disappointed. I came back Sunday and they said no problem but I had to wait because they were so busy. I decided to come back on Monday. I came back and OMG what a huge difference. Vin, The manager goes well out of his way to make sure his customers are happy and Wen did a fabulous job on my nails but more than that her attitude and graciousness was above and beyond what you would expect for a re do. She had to redo my nails and you know that takes a good hour and he did not charge me . I would highly recommend this nail salon. You will be pleased you came in. read more

Too bad Yelp only allows 5 stars because she definitely deserves 10 stars! My lashes look beautiful, natrual and upscale! Would definitely recommend Lily for nails and lash extensions. I just moved to North Dallas and needed a pedicure in the worst kind of way! I used Yelp to find a location nearby my new home and this shop was only a couple of minutes away. The shop was easy to find in a shopping center. The two gentleman at the door were very friendly. They closed at 7:30 and I walked in at 7:00. They were welcoming and sat me right away with Amy. She did not try to rush because it was so close to closing time; one of the best pedicures I've had. The shop itself is pretty large, very clean, and a lot of drink options! I liked that they gave me a few min to pick out my colors first without rushing me to the chair so I would have to look one handed. I had Ann for my manicure, she did them perfectly! And I'm OCD with my nails! Not too thick, smooth and very detailed! Pedicure was good but as usual the "massage" was lack luster and more of a rub down of lotion but hey the toes look pretty March 2019 I've now been coming here exclusively for last few months. Visited this salon last week for the first time because of the location and reviews. I wish we could post pics in the reviews you would be shocked... This salon was filthy! The fish tank was so dirty you couldn't barley see the fish? The decorations were full of dust and dirt. There is a huge clock in the middle of the salon that was obviously out of batteries at 5 pm the clock reads 11am. While I was there inspectors came in and were taking pictures of everything! My nails came out looking truly deformed. When I told the tech I didn't like how they looked she told me that's how they are supposed to look what??? She had no interest in trying to correct them or about making me happy. She was more concerned with collecting my money and moving on to the next client. I was never offered anything to drink as they boast about free wine etc. I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years and understand not all techs are skilled and may have tried again. I used to frequent this salon every two weeks; I loved the way my nails were done, but even when having an appointment, I would have to wait extended times (sometimes up to an hour). I decided that my time wasn't respected and went somewhere else. After seeing they are under new management, I decided to return. I'm so happy to see Vin and Lisa doing so well! The facility was clean, well organized and the gentleman who did my nails, Tony, did an excellent job without an extended wait & in record time :). One of my worst experiences at a Nail salon. The 2 star rating is for the ambiance & coffee that was offered. The lady who did my powder nail manicure was a butcher of some kind. I asked for a full service manicure & presumed that it came with a cuticle cleanup. Nope...sorry...that's $5 more....added injury to insult (in this case), she cut me around the cuticle & it bled.....she didn't notice Next, she put an antiseptic & was laughing because it burnt She added a tip to one on my fingers & while cutting that, nearly cut the tip of my finger, till I withdrew with a jerk of pain. She looks at my finger & says....oh! No cut! After all was done, I noticed one of my nails was noticeably shorter. When I pointed it out to the lady, she suggested she cut the other 9 nails shorter to make it even I insisted she redo the short nail by adding a tip. Additional $5 for that. Next comes my pedicure. I asked for gel. I ended up getting a regular nail polish which took forever to dry. $96 later, I waked out in pain & dissatisfied. read more

Worst pedicure ever. Mary CUT my toe when trimming the cuticle. Then was too afraid to trim any of the others. The massage was awful too. She rubbed my shins, not the calf muscle. I stopped by at 3pm on a Friday for a regular mani-pedi. We waited 25 minutes for a pedi chair even though the manager said 5-10 minutes. Then we soaked for an additional 50 minutes before actually getting a technician. Nail clippings (not mine) were floating in my water. My guy did not remove cuticles. Left lumps underneath the polish and forgot to put a clear coat on the toes. I had to ask him to redo and place a clear coat on. And then, less than 18 hours later, polish is chipped and peeling. My gut told me to leave but I was with friends and didn't want to insult them since they go regularly. read more

I mentioned to him that I tend to pick at my cuticles and he gave me a special cream to help them heal faster which was so sweet of him!! My friend and I came here on a Saturday for manicures around 1:00PM without an appointment, but we didn't have to wait that long. It was a chill day so we were in no rush. We picked out our nail polish and sat down to wait. We were then seated after about 10 minutes. A manicurist came to help my friend and gave us the little booklet of manicure services to browse. She was REALLY pushy and tried to get my friend to get the most expensive one when my friend already told her what she wanted. The manicurist then passed the book to me and I told her I wanted the basic manicure ($15). She got us both water and then went to work on my friend's nails. Two minutes later my manicurist, Tiffany, came to do my nails. Right as she sits down, my friend's manicurist starts talking smack about me in Vietnamese because I didn't get the same manicure as my friend, AND because I only got the $15 manicure, not the most expensive one. First of all, I don't need any special aromas for my hands to smell like Bath & Body Works while I'm getting my nails done for $5 more. Secondly, I AM Vietnamese (but I guess they couldn't tell) and I understood EVERYTHING she was saying. My manicurist, Tiffany, replied with, "It's okay, just let her be" in Vietnamese. Tiffany did a great job and was very pleasant, even humming as she did my nails. My friend's manicurist however, nicked her with the cuticle clippers and seemed very distracted and inattentive to her. She wasn't wearing a name tag so I can't tell you who NOT to ask for. She has really short hair, wears glasses, has a round face and tattooed eyebrows. So if you see her, hopefully you don't get her! This place is really nice (appearance-wise and space-wise), but the service is so-so. Trust me, when the manicurists are talking to each other, they're talking about you. 95% of the time. I'd even put my money on it. Every single nail salon I go to, they talk about their clients in front of their faces. This has happened everywhere I go, with them not realizing I can understand them lol. Still, I would probably go back here again and ask for Tiffany. read more
