I contacted attic insulation labs in order to take of my parents attic that had very little and old insulation and rodent problem. Abraham came to meet me and my parents a few days after to inspect the attic, he explained what can be done regarding the insulation to help make the house warmer and more efficient, then through pictures of inside the attic and outside the house explained to us how the rodent proofing service will be performed to make sure the problem will not come back, really made us understand what we're paying for (which was so worth it) The working crew came a week after to do the job, they created a nice tunnel of plastic bags in order to walk in and out the house without making a mess, they were super professional and quite! What really gave me the urge to write this review is the fact that Abraham called my parents a few days after the job was done to let them know he's in the area and asked if he can pass by to ask how everything was and take a look at their new attic, which meant a lot for us! I recently had a full attic restoration done by Eran and Moses the owners of Attic Insulation by LABS (LA Building Solutions) and am 100% happy with not only their workmanship and timeliness, but their excellent customer service. I tend to do much of my home repair on my own but for a few reasons I decided that I was going to let professionals tackle this job. My home is a 1920s era lath and plaster French Revival style house which was kept up extremely well by the prior owner EXCEPT for the attic. The attic space had large areas of the attic floor with no insulation whatsoever, significant sized openings to the exterior (that were not visible from the outside of the house), trash left from 90+ years of gradual work and repairs that took place in the attic, and the dust and debris that settled naturally and from the last roof that was put on the place. In addition, I had been battling a reoccurring rodent problem - for about 7 months prior. Once I went up and saw the attic for myself, I realized I'd never get the rodent issue under control unless I had my attic professional cleaned out. So I decided to look for a company that could clean my attic, rid it of pests, and lay down new insulation and put up a thermal barrier. I shopped around and received 3 estimates for the work and after comparing price, customer reviews, and the level of care given to the processes of providing me with an estimate I decided to go with Attic Insulation by LABS. Eran gave me a fair price, was able to work with my scheduled to find a time that worked for both of us to get the work completed, and never let me down with his commitment to great customer service. The work was completed in 1 and a half days. Despite a full day of steady rain and their supplier being unable to deliver the materials as planned due to the rain, Eran and Moses made adjustments, sent a couple people in their crew to pick up the materials and kept up their end of the agreement and got everything done as scheduled. I really appreciated that there was always one or the other at the job site with their crew - I think that's a perk of going with a smaller company; more personal care can be given to the project by the business owners. I opted to have them do a full restoration which included cleaning out all the trash, vacuuming out small debris, sanitizing the floors, air sealing, 38R batt insulation, and a thermal barrier. They also had a trapping company come out to take care of any rodents that were able to hide during the process. I can tell a difference already with the a more consistent temperature around the house, my heating system is working better (they found that one of the vents wasn't properly attached when they were doing the air sealing...I had part of my heating/cooling going into the attic instead of the bedroom) and turning on less frequently and I don't hear the rattles and the sound of the furnace like I use to. I'm looking forward to comparing my heating/cooling bills with past years. After they were done, I received a couple of calls checking in to make sure I was happy with the work they had done and I actually did find one thing I wanted them to make an adjustment to. My attic has some decorative windows and I noticed that i could see the pink insulation in one area - I let them know and Eran came out himself to take care of it. My experience with this company is that they are clean, do quality work with quality products, and they stick with their time commitment. I teach high school as my full time job but I also manage a duplex and a multi-family home that has multiple apartments in it. Me and my wife recently purchased a home after all the construction we did we also decided to change the insulation in our attic. After looking on yelp and doing my home work I came across this company. I made a call setup an appointment and Oliver came to my house. He was awesome he is the operations manager he is not your average person looking to rip you off or make a sale. He educated you walks you through all the steps of the process inspects the attic and gives all the info needed. Sent the contract the same night they are really competitive and gave great pricing. He also recommended our ducts be replaced due to there being asbestos. A separate company came out removed all that and the ducts and took all the hazardous stuff with them. The next day Pastor and Erwin and his crew came early morning and started the process and were done in the afternoon. They first remove all the old insulation seal up all the parts around recessed lighting disinfect rodent proof than put the insulation. I went with the R-38 which is a little more on the higher end but well worth every penny. I highly recommend this company they did an amazing job and I will be referring them to many people. I recently worked with LABS on attic cleaning and installing new insulation in our attic, which was full of debris and some old droppings. As an architect, I work with many contractors and subs, and my experience with LABS was great. Eran answered my call the first time when I called over a long weekend, expecting to leave a message. Not only were we able to schedule a visit for that same week, Eran was incredibly friendly and patient on the phone while explaining the different types of insulation and their pros and cons. Eran's partner Moses ended up coming to look at our attic to give us the estimate. He was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the building process as well. We were given a price for the job the day after his visit. After receiving a couple of other proposals for the same project, we decided on going with LABS because of their fair price as well as their honesty and proficiency apparent in their answers to my questions. They were also the most prompt in responding to all communication throughout the process, and their customer service was exceptional. We were fast-tracking the renovation in order to make our move-in date, and Moses really went above and beyond to make the timing work for us. The day of the installation, Moses came with the crew and updated me on the process throughout the day. After cleaning, I was able to inspect the attic before the new insulation was installed. They did such a good job with the vacuuming that when I rubbed my fingers along the surface, they came away clean without any dust on them. They also went around my house and fixed all of the screening on the vents to prevent small animals from coming back in. The whole process was done with an eye towards detail. It's been two months since the installation, and both my contractor and my air conditioning installer have commented that the workmanship in my attic was good. Yovani called when they were 15-20 minutes way, arrived with a mask on and even offered to wear booties over his shoes in my home. The guys covered the working area with plastic which enclosed all the dust from their work and did not come into my living space. They removed the old insulation, deodorized the attic and laid batting. They also rodent proof (per my request) and seal around lights/vents to prevent drafts. The insulation has made a difference. Insulation was never a thought in my mind until the recent heatwaves caused soaring electric bills. I reached out to Insulation Labs for a quote first solely based on its solid Yelp reviews. When George came out to meet us for a free estimate, he was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Best of all, I felt he was honest and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. After getting a quote from them, I decided just to get a couple more since I had no idea what this kind of work costs. Let's just say one company came close to the price but was super slow to respond and gave me vibes over the phone that I didn't like (basically on multiple occasions they badmouthed their competition yet they never bothered to come out in person to give an estimate - all just done over the phone based on what I told them I wanted. But I mean, how do I know what I want??). The other company that did come out tried to sell me everything under the sun and came up with something 3x Insulation Lab's quote, and when I balked at the price he tried to slowly backtrack and cut out unnecessary items but still ended up at something close to 2x. These two companies, both also with great reviews, just left a sour taste in my mouth so the winner was clear. I got scheduled the following week - so quick! Eric and his crew came out ready to rock and roll but ran into a minor bump - their large truck couldn't make it up our steep driveway. That means they had no choice but to lug all their heavy equipment (as well as the 60 bags of trash that would come out of the attic) up and down the hill on foot. Now this is quite the workout, especially if they had to do it all throughout the day, so immediately I felt bad for them. But these guys were so classy that they just went right for it with smiles - no complaints. What they thought was a 6 hour job (given size and scope) turned out to be 12 hours because it was so hot that day (high of 100, so I'd imagine a lot higher in an attic!) and we apparently had crappy old insulation and lots of junk up there that the previous owners that remodeled the price never bothered to do anything about. Again, despite a tougher than anticipated job, these guys were professional and diligent about it. Alas after 12 grueling hours the job was completed and they left our place looking immaculate since they did such a great job creating a tunnel with plastic so nothing would get dirty during the process. Anyway this is probably way too much detail for a review, but you get the idea. These guys are just honest, fair, and professional. Highly recommended. read more

Initial walkthrough and quote was professional, friendly and quick. Price was fair. I had my crawlspace sealed and insulated and my attic topped off. My hardwood floors are no longer Ice cold. Oliver the sale rep took time to take me through the options and was open to a candid conversation about the benefits and ROI of different choices. My wife and I had been having climate control issues in our home for months - where it barely get cold in the summer despite us having gotten our A/C checked by TWO technicians. Did a bit of Googling and it looked as though we might have an attic insulation issue. Ended up working with Moses (who is really great) and he came over for the free inspection. That's when he showed us the real problem - we apparently had a rodent infestation!
