Ok, it's been some time now since Aircom installed my insulation. This week, particularly today, it's been really hot. Castro Valley is 96 degrees right now. My garage, which Sean and his crew did, is only 80 degrees. It is noticeable cooler in my garage which Aircom did than it is inside the rest of my house. My attic was long overdue for an overhaul. I called AirCom for a consultation, and their lead tech Jeremy was out within a few says. He gave us a quote for complete BATT insulation and cleaning all of the debris (from the previous owner replacing the roof). I'd gotten a couple other bids, but not only was Jeremy's bid competitive, he took the time to explain the process and which areas were prone to heat loss (ex. recessed lights). I'd like to thank Aircom for the fantastic job they did. I had very low air flow coming from my air vents and felt like the heater is running 24/7 without giving real results. I called a few local companies and Aircom were the ones I felt most comfortable with. Sean came over and was the first one to actually suit up and go down to my crawl space(something I won't do hahah) to check the problem. Apparently one of my main duct pipes were disconnected and was blowing air straight into the crawl space and there was barely any insulation on the ducts. Sean immediately contacted the pipe and suggested to avoid using it until fixed and cleaned. He gave me an estimate that beat all other vendors and was able to squeeze to their schedule only a few days after. We had our duct work under the house pulled apart, scratched and bitten by mice, rats skunks and opossums. The crawl space under the house was a mess from all the critters trying to nest under there. We couldn't use our heating or air conditioning because of the destruction to the ducts. I called Aircom to get an estimate on the crawl space cleanup, sanitation, rodent proofing and to put down a vapor barrier in the crawl space under the whole house, as well as replacing all the duct work in the crawl space. Jeremy came out the next business day to assess the work to be done and had the estimate for me that afternoon. I approved the estimate and a team came to the house right after that and had my crawl space all cleaned up, sanitized, the holes were all filled in with wire mesh and cement for rodent proofing, all the duct work was taken down and replaced and the vapor barrier was installed over the whole crawl space in 1 day. They did an awesome job in a short amount of time and the charge for the work was extremely reasonable. My crawl space looks beautiful now and my heating/air conditioning is now working like new again. read more

Great service, super easy to work with. Got a quote via Yelp, and scheduled an appointment at my convenience next week. (They were available the next day, but I couldn't be home then.) Jeremy from Aircom called 20 minutes out and came by the house at exactly the appointed time. I gave him a tour of all the vents and we even went into the crawlspace under the house to see if there was a leak for one vent that wasn't performing as well as the others. Jeremy didn't find any obvious leaks, but patched up some weak spots with some tape he had handy just in case. Jeremy then was able to clean all our output vents and the intake vent, and it was clear that it was the first time in 100+ years that the vents were ever cleaned. And as it turned out, the vent that was underperforming had a large drywall sponge (!) in the middle of it that was blocking airflow. Jeremy also screwed in a vent cover that I couldn't reattach myself with some extra screws he had. All the work was done in just under two hours and with absolutely no mess.
