We first called Attic Kings about 4 years ago after heavy rains led to rats getting into our attic. They caused a huge mess, and I was especially concerned about the urine, droppings, old insulation, and fiberglass getting into the rest of the house. Moshe came out right away, inspected everything, and gave us a very reasonable quote to seal all of the entry points, clean and sanitize the attic, deodorize the space, remove all of the old insulation, and eventually replace it with new insulation. One of the biggest concerns for me was cleanliness. We had just installed brand new carpet upstairs, and the attic entrance is right there. Moshe covered everything in plastic and actually created a contained tunnel from the attic all the way downstairs and out the door so the old insulation and debris never traveled through the house. That made me feel much more comfortable about having the work done. Moshe and his team were fast, clean, and efficient, but what I appreciated most was how thorough Moshe was. He took the time to explain everything, sent us detailed photos, and never made us feel rushed. Because we have two attic spaces that connect along the roofline, Moshe did not just seal everything and immediately put down new insulation. He left traps in place and came back for several weeks to make sure there were no rats still hiding somewhere or finding another way in. Only after we were all comfortable that the problem was completely resolved did he install the new insulation. I really appreciated that because the last thing I wanted was to spend money on new insulation and have it ruined again. 4 years later, we still have the trap up there and have not had another rat problem. Recently, we had a completely separate issue with yellow jackets that made an opening near the roofline and got inside the roof area. After pest control handled the yellow jackets, I called Moshe just to ask whether the opening needed some kind of special repair. He came out the very next morning, walked the perimeter of both rooflines, found a few small areas that had shifted or opened over the years, sealed the area where the yellow jackets got in, and even went back into the attic to make sure everything was still secure and there was no evidence of rats. There wasn't. What really impressed me is that this was years after the original work, and he still came out as a courtesy to check everything. That says a lot about the kind of person he is and how he runs his business. Another thing I really appreciate is that when you call Attic Kings, you actually get Moshe. You are not dealing with an automated system, a call center, or a different person every time. He is very hands-on, and the people he brings with him have always been professional, respectful and clean. We even scheduled the original work while we were away from the house, and I felt completely comfortable trusting Moshe and his team in our home. His pricing was competitive, the value was excellent, and most importantly, the work has held up for 4 years. It is getting harder to find small businesses where the owner still answers the phone, shows up personally, stands behind the work, and cares about maintaining a relationship with customers long after the job is finished. We found Attic Kings through Yelp, and had a really great experience! Ofek and Moshe were responsive from the start, which made the decision easy after their consultation. A few days after we met and I signed the contract, the team came out to remove old roof debris left over from a recent reroofing, removed our home's original insulation, and installed fresh batt insulation in both the attic and crawlspace. They also added rodent proofing throughout the attic while they were at it. About a month later we heard critter noises, so I texted them and they came out to inspect. He didn't find anything in the traps but reset them to be safe. Sure enough, something took the bait because we heard it go off! Jose came back shortly after and discovered 2 mice (thankfully no rats), found a gap where the roof met the garage and sealed it up. He ran an ozone generator as a precaution for any smells. A couple weeks after that we heard faint sounds again. Jose returned, found one more entry point, sealed it, and since then there's been total silence! After hearing rodents in my attic for months, I finally had to do something. I needed help! Researching extensively online, and reading reviews of several different companies, I decided to call Attic Kings. The owner responded within 10 minutes as advertised and sent a crew member the next day. He inspected the attic, found much evidence of rodent activity and discovered that there was very little insulation throughout the attic, answered all my questions, and gave me a very reasonably verbal estimate. Later that day he sent a digital link to the detailed quote. I approved it and we set a date for the next week to do the work. The day of the project the Attic Kings crew arrived early. They proceeded to: remove all old insulation, rodent nest, droppings and debris, decontaminate/sanitize the space, seal all gaps and rodent proof all potential entry points. Then blew in all new eco-friendly insulation and replaced all air duct insulation. Meanwhile, other crew members inspected the entire outside of the house for any possible rodent entry points - sealing them with mesh wire, foam, or cement. They even discovered another problem I did not know about and resolved that for me too (no charge). When the crew finished the entire project late that evening, they asked "is there was anything else we can do for you?" This is a recurring theme with this amazing company. The owner's philosophy is "we are here to help", and this philosophy is reflected in every crew member who worked my project. I needed all new ducting and insulation done for my relative's home and got several bids for the job. Not only did Attic King give me the best bid, they went way above and beyond to coordinate the work with me, as I live out of the area. I contacted Moshe for an attic inspection after seeing some rodent poop in the attic. He took his time during the inspection and detailed all the work required. He was happy to explain everything (all gory details) and patiently answered all my questions. His quote was the best in terms of all he covered. He accommodated my schedule and was punctual.
