We were rear ended by someone who has this insurance (which we found out is an agency and they transferred us to United equitable) and all 5 of us have whiplash and united equitable said we would have to wait after the holiday to get someone to look at our car, which is 4 days from now. This also would mean we would be stuck with no car for the holidays. They didn't seem to care much so we hung up and had to go through our insurance (progressive) and pay our deductible even though it was not our fault. We will try to recoup that $500 but know it will be a fight. This is ridiculous. read more

This is NOT a good company. Their customer service sucks (they don't answer their phones, take 48 hours to call back, managers are NEVER available). They go up on their rates 80 to 120$ each time you renew. Their renewal process doesn't tell you how much your monthly costs are, therefore trapping you into an unknown contract. Also, after 4 years of dealing with them, the one time I actually call and ask for their help, they tell me they can't do anything. This was the last straw, and I will be terminating this contract immediately. Total disregard for customer loyalty. Unless you are desperate for insurance, walk away. I appreciated Insure on the Spot for the time I had it. I only had liability on my 2 vehicles. I had an accident which was not my fault. I have had no issues with the accident part. Yet, I got another vehicle and wanted full coverage and I wanted full coverage on all 3. For the vehicle they could not do full coverage, they quoted me a ridiculous price. I immediately got full coverage from another insurance company so I would not run the risk of not having insurance. I have been called everyday like they are a collection agency about writing a letter about why I was canceling. It's really a bit much. read more

They are just a bunch of scammers that go beyond the Insurance rules. I had an issue with my policy. My 6months premium was $414. I paid half of my premium on the renewal day on July 17th 2025, $211. On August 17th 2025 they were asking another payment if not they would cancel my policy from August 27th. By Law, I have my insurance covered for 3months, I get a cancellation letter with no Pro Rata return for the premium paid. Now Thursday to reinstate my policy, they are asking $149. I will pay it, but I will go directly to https://idoi.illinois.gov/producers/illinois-insurance-laws-and-regulations.html and file a claim against them. I am a licensed agent for Illinois and Arizona, so I know what I am talking about and I will bring them to court for illegal practice and insurance and financial fraud. They passed me to a call center in the Philippines that tried to solve the issue when she cannot by law, since they are not a license insurance agent. All Illegal! It was very easy to get the insurance and I'm very appreciative especially since dealing with the state is frustrating. But God forbid when you're ready to cancel. I sent the paperwork but then the first red flag was that I had to call back in 15 minutes to confirm they received it. I did, in fact I called back 3 times but I'm at work and I can't sit on hold for 15 minutes. I called back 2 more times and still had to hang up after 15 minutes. Then they started to call to get my payment. Every single day. For two weeks after they confirmed they received my cancellation they continue to call. After I explain everything yet again they're like, oh yeah I see it, sorry. Then the next day I get another call and explain it again. The lady today said oh it takes awhile. Ok yeah 24, 48 even 72 hours make sense. But two weeks?! No. Now I've blocked any of their numbers. read more

If you happen to go to their branches, they make you wait 20 minutes just sitting around while no one is on the line. Then they have this attitude to not help you at all.
