Inszone bought the accounts of our long time insurance company in San Mateo. We had our personal and business policies with them. First let me clarify. Mike is our commercial agent with Inszone. He has been great at communicating and handled our renewals and etc. in the past, so the following has no reflection on him. We recently evaluated our personal policies and found that what we are paying nearly 3x's more combined. On May 5th I sent Mike the actual quote from AAA to see if they could let me know what the process is to cancel the policy with Liberty Mutual (LM). Sadly he informed us he only handles our commercial policies and immediately shared our email with Thandarr for our personal line policies. On Friday, May 8th (3 business days later), I still had not heard from Thandarr. I emailed Thandarr to follow up and to request to also cancel our personal auto policy. Then shortly after I emailed him, I was told that if we did not have our homeowners or auto policy with LM that we could not keep our umbrella policy, so 50 minutes after I emailed Thandarr to ask to cancel the umbrella policy too. Since I had not heard from him at all and my first email was 3 business days ago, I asked on my last email of the day if he could cancel all 3 policies effective May 12th, which would give him additional 2 business days to process my request. Then on May 11th, I received an email from Heather stating that their office has processed the cancellation of the home & auto policies but no mention of a cancellation date. I replied to Heather 30 mins after her email asking her to confirm the cancellation date for the home & auto policies and asked her the status of cancelling the umbrella policy. Then on May 12th, since I had not heard back from Heather, I called her again; no answer but spoke with Joyce. Joyce said their records show our auto & home policies were cancelled as of May 5th and that the umbrella policy did not have a cancellation date. We were without coverage for a week. I asked on my emails for the cancellation date so I can make sure that our next policy starts on the same day and does not have a void in coverage. My emails specifically requested a cancellation date prior to asking for the May 12th cancellation date. Heather finally called back. She blamed Thandorr for the "miscommunication." She stated that Thandarr forwarded her our May 5th email and that was the only email she had. That can't be true because on May 5th, I only asked about the process of cancelling the home policy. Heather's first email stated the office processed the cancellation of both the home & auto policies. If she only got the email from May 5th, then how did she know about the auto policy cancellation, which wasn't until May 8th? She also stated that the umbrella policy was automatically cancelled since we cancelled the other 2 policies. I told her that is not true because Joyce confirmed earlier that the umbrella policy did not have a cancellation on the account. Also, I was surprised that no one tried to reach out. I would think that if someone emails a quote from a competitor with the details that the agent would call and try to see if they can shop the current policy to keep a customer. Our previous agent in San Mateo would call every year before a policy was due to expire, and he did his homework beforehand to see if there was another carrier, better coverage, too much coverage, or a better rate. His customer service is what kept us loyal for over 20+ years and earned our clients business and referrals. On May 14th, Heather confirmed that the 3 policies were cancelled May 12th. We thought that was end of the saga and that we could put all of that behind us. Nope...the saga continues. On May 28th we received 2 bills by mail for the Auto & Home policies showing that both were cancelled on May 5th. We called Inszone and spoke with Valentine who stated on the phone to disregard both invoices because the account is paid in full and cancelled and the remaining balance was refunded. Today, we received a text from what looked like a spam but stated CREDIT COLLECTION SERVICES is a debt collector. We are trying to collect a debt that you owe to Liberty Mutual Insurance. When we logged on the Liberty Mutual app, we noticed that the 2 invoices that we received on May 28th were posted on our account and Liberty Mutual confirmed that the two invoices were sent to collections. She also confirmed that Inszone cancelled the policies for May 5th instead of the 12th. We wrote an email to Heather and Thandarr asking them to fix the situation. We've shared our past experience with the office with the goal of helping them improve their service in the future but it looks like further action is needed. Chris, as you will see, I didn't leave a negative review after what took place in May. I left the negative review today. I can see by all the terrible reviews that Inzone is just scooping up insurance agencies that once were local agencies. Once they take over, there is no one to assist policy holders anymore so if premiums rise, no one will reply to explain why and you must just pay or risk the policy being cancelled. The same thing happened to me. Inzone in Rancho Cordova, CA bought the agency that I have had my policies with for many years, they were called Coriano Insurance Agency in Phoenix, AZ. There is zero customer service now that the employees from Coriano Agency I've been with for years now are employed by Inzone. I am moving my 6 insurance policies to an agency where agents actually help. My premiums went up by over $300 for my car insurance for the last 2 months of the policy and no one will reply to let me know why. Nothing changed in my driving record. The sad part is you really only need to speak with your agent once a year during renewals if anything changes dramatically or if there is a random change mid year for no reason. The fact that they don't care to respond at all makes it clear that this agency is ruining it's reputation and ability to be viable through this acquisition and abandonment of client business model. The 2 agents from Coriano Agency, Chris & Caitlin Britton, continue to indicate that Coriano Insurance Agency is still open but when you google the Coriano Agency it shows as permanently closed. When the agency that holds your policies outright lies about being in business, that really affect any confidence in the agency. They also don't reply to assist with premium increase issues. I'm paying the random increase, not them, so I can see why they would not care. They are contributors to the downfall of this business acquisition. read more

Closing the business would be the best thing for Insone insurance customers. At least they wouldn't be able to mislead you with inadequate knowledge of the job. Or at least that is what I have experienced with them. When Insone bought the insurance agent that I was with, that's when my service went to hell. I cancelled my hm owners insurance first because they were not working in my favor as my agent and then about a year later I cancelled my GL (general liability). Again some of the same reasons and a lack of knowledge about my insurance needs and poor communication skills.... read more

Then I called a few days later. Talk to two other people asked for the same thing to be emailed to me and I got no response. Early last fall, I interviewed for the position of a Junior InsuraAfter four interviews and one shadowing, four different days, the after interview thank you letter, to Jared and Andrew, from me.. page 1nce Broker, and it consisted of being interviewed via phone once by Chris, the CEO, two times in-person by Andrew, an in-person shadowing; watching another employee work to understand more details about the job, and a final in-person interview with Andrew and Jared. Keep in mind these weren't all on the same day. They took place four different days. I didn't have a car, so I had to pay for transportation there and back each time. Additionally , I had to wait a couple hours outside (the weather was still extremely hot late September 2024) to get picked up after each interview. Another words, I put in a lot of effort into these four different interviews and shadowing. After all that, I sent a very nice thank you letter and gif,and shared my interest in working with the company. I didn't get a single reply back; not even to tell me they weren't interested. I'm was struggling to write a review or not but it's necessary. I can't even get an updated COI and not to mention get quotes back for various lines of Insurance requested. I'm still waiting to hear back for commercial auto and was waiting on cyber as well. Instead of the agent following up, nothing but crickets. I even referred an individual that owns a few companies, but I spoke too soon. I contacted one company Lumenasa and they had me covered with both commercial auto and cyber the same day!!! Pretty much impossible to get ahold of anyone here. I reached out for a new quote in July. Alonzo told me that someone named Zach would reach out and help me- never happened. Fast forward a month, I reached out again, this time to Saul who got me my original policy via email and no response there either. I called today and it went to his voicemail, I didn't bother to leave a message. The girl who answered the phone said I had to talk to Saul and couldn't talk to anyone else since he's the one who started my policy. Yesterday I called several times and the phones were disconnected. So today I reached out to Mercury directly and got a new policy without any help from Inszone. I had my insurance with an independent broker based in San Mateo, CA, where I used to live. Inszone apparently bought out their book of business. I only found this out when I tried contacting my broker and my emails were not returned. Calling them sent me to Inszone national line, and trying to get a hold of anyone during normal business hours is near impossible. Apparently, Inszone assigned me a new agent based in the Rancho Cordova office. But there is now way to call him directly or call that office. You have to go through the national number. I was able to finally get his voicemail, but able to connect to him. My message wasn't returned. I am now shopping around for a new independent broker. Avoid Inszone. read more

Unfortunately, today's business was to cancel my policy with Safeco insurance and to leave Intone Insurance (who acquired Ciardelli). Safeco notified us of impending nonrenew in spite of our 30 year relationship with them for car/home/liability coverage, and only 1 very small claim in all those years. We've identified another insurer who is still covering California homes, and will no longer be able to interact with Andrea :-( read more

I was impressed that the representative assigned to my case responded to most of my emails and phone calls in a timely fashion. A couple of times during the process when she wasn't available, another representative got back to me within a day. The adjuster that came to view my car after it was stolen, missed damage to the body of my car, but after I pointed out their error, they agreed to repair the car and I didn't have to pay additional fees. It was inconvenient to have to take my car back for additional repairs after being without my car initially for two weeks. Overall, I was very satisfied with the services that were provided and thankful that my car is back in working order. read more

Tatiana has been a pleasure to work with these past years. Recently, I was dropped by CPA because I had a no fault claim (Truck Fire/Pollution Claim) and could no longer qualify for the low cost insurance. (Apparently, my low cost premium was not worth it for the insurance company-Colony-to continue to keep me and my claim was small at 15K compared to higher 100K+ Claims! Luckily, she was able to find insurance for me and even though it was about 1.5x price of what I had, I was lucky she was able to find something with everything and in some ways, better coverage. This company goes around buying up small, family run insurance companies. I tried to work with them for several years but left after extreme frustration. Here are the problems. 1) management seems to be out playing golf or buying up companies and doesn't care. 2) Staff does not pick up the phone and occasionally returns phone calls. 3) Staff is inexperienced and very hard to communicate with - as in you say something basic and they just don't understand basic insurance communication. 4) My insurance more than doubled because of errors they made when they took over a small company and I'm still sorting it out. 5) They do not really seem to care about the customers and just see it as a paycheck. read more

When this was brought to their attention I was told I would receive a new request with the proper information on it. Instead I received a letter for their attorney stating they did not renew my insurance dating back to November 2020. They happily cashed my check for my entire policy but cancel my Insurance.
