I was in a pickle because I had auto insurance (full coverage) and missed some auto payments because I lost my debit card and forgot to update my info with the insurance company. OMG!!! I have never been so angry in my life...I purchased insurance less than a year ago for the vehicle I was driving. When it came time for me to buy a new car I attempted to contact the office in Ranch Cordova where I bought my original policy and the phone had been disconnected forcing me to call another Cost U Less office in another city to get insurance for my new vehicle. I put down a $200 deposit, I ended up not purchasing that particular vehicle so I phoned Cost U Less to cancel the policy and ask for a refund. You'd think easy peasy right?? NOPE!!! of my $200 deposit I got $15 refunded. How in the world do you justify charging someone $185 for driving a vehicle for 6 days!!! read more

On 11/21/2013, the broker Marcel charged me $350 for a new policy I did not need and said he canceled the policy when it turned out that I could use my existing insurance policy. I was going to switch policies and ended up keeping the original policy, but they charged me for dual coverage on the same car. Since my insurance is on auto-pay, I unknowingly paid for two insurance policies with this company and paid for a policy I did not need from 11/21/2013 to 4/20/2015 and didn't realize it. It's hard to tell you're being charged for two separate policies, as the bank statement shows PGIA plaza for $59 with no number or detail. It has been hell to get reimbursed from this insurance company on a vehicle that had dual coverage. They said they would reimburse me, but not the $350 broker fee and I was offered $150 for a year and half of paying insurance on a vehicle that was already insured. I'm out $59 a month for 18 months, so about $1500 plus the $350 broker fee they will not reimburse me for and this is for a current customer. This company has a high turnover rate, so every time you call, you get someone else and they pass you around and around until you give up. They're not worth the hassle and you get what you pay for. I think the name Cost U Less insurance says it all. Filing a claim with the BBB and California Insurance Bureau for the amount I'm out. I would go to small claims if I had the time and money, but I don't. read more

wasted my 400 bucks in here! After giving the money she never gave me the change til i asked of it. When i came here to get an insurance for my first car i had my dad's name and my uncle since i don't have a license that time yet and told them that i won't be driving it. I have an almost same name with my dad and they confuse it and put my name instead of him but i clearly told them that i am not included. Went there and request to change the names. After weeks of waiting until the due date of my first payment they told me that i have to pay 25 bucks because i reached the due date of payment and to reapply. I told them how can i pay if my name was on it and that the due date amount is not the one on the agreement to pay monthly. The lady(manager) insisted me to pay the 25 bucks (for their own mistake) and to pay the monthly due amount which is a lot higher because of my name is on it. DISHONEST! read more
