But, of course dentist visits are very necessary, so I am glad I've found Columbia Prime Dental. The staff here are all very nice, they smile when you come into the door. They are helpful and kind, seems like a great place to work. The dentist is wonderful, I have never walked out of a dentist office satisfied with my experience until switching to Columbia Prime Dental.

Prior to going to this office, I'd always associated going to the dentist with being treated like I…read moream invisible and then, at the end of the appointment, being bullied into treatments. This office is the exact opposite. Linda treats you like a person the minute she sits down with you. She tells YOU what she sees during the cleaning vs talking straight terminology with the hygentist and ignoring you. She will be honest at the get go and doesn't hold "bad news" until the end of the visit like most dentists. She also doesn't bully you into treatments, especially with the "You must get this treated ASAP or your teeth will rot out instantly!" line that so many dentists try to use to freak people out into getting things done. If something isn't deadly urgent, she doesn't make it out that way. All in all, I used to get really stressed about the dentist and now, it's no big deal. I have to get something fixed after today's appointment, but the way Linda presented it made me feel okay about it versus other dentists who have almost tried to make me feel guilty despite being an avid brusher. As a young, single woman, the procedures that I had were expensive, even with insurance, and I was glad that his office offered to let me split payments and work out arrangements. I even wrote this glowing review of your office on Yelp: "...after visiting his office a total of five or six times for follow ups, I can say that it's one of the best. Dr. Waxman is very nice and very gentle and very willing to explain things and make sure that you are not in pain..." I held his office in high esteem and, before January 2014, would have said that Ms. Laura Gonzales was a big part of why his office works so well. Laura was the person I interacted with the most to schedule appointments, make payments and discuss bills. She was always professional and even friendly. Until Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, when I had a very unpleasant phone exchange with an obviously exasperated Gonzales. She was rude from the get-go, telling me that I needed to pay approximately $122 immediately. I wasn't aware that I had a remaining balance, since I'd already paid the office so much while the procedures were being done and sending a couple of checks after the fact. (Another reviewer that Yelp "didn't recommend" had a similar experience with this office.) Gonzales was short with me when I asked if I could settle the bill for less, since I had been out of work for months. (Other providers have been willing to do this.) She offered to take off $22. I tried to negotiate more, asking her if she would accept 50 percent of the balance, and she snapped, huffed, cut me off, raised her voice and did everything but call me names. In short, she was rude. Very rude. She was nasty. She belittled. She was snarky. She threatened to send the bill to collections when I tried to explain that I couldn't pay $100 immediately. I asked to speak to someone else and she refused. Eventually, she hung up in my face. I called back and again asked to speak to someone else and she spit out, "I don't know what else you expect me to say!" I'm sure Gonzales has worked for this office for a while and that she was normally competent at her job. Before that phone conversation, I would have said that she was an asset to your office. I don't know if Gonzales was having a bad day, or if something was going on outside of the office, but $100 should never make a person act as rudely to another person as she was to me that day. I'm not arguing that I didn't owe money, or that I shouldn't be expected to pay the money. (I settled the balance over the next 4 months.) I'm arguing that the manner in which the money was collected was unnecessarily harsh, rude and dehumanizing.

Well Dr. Goitom makes sure her office is the complete opposite of LSOH! I went it with a slight issue and Helen, the hygienist, was great at keeping me calm and explaining everything as went through. Dr. Goitom made sure I felt no pain throughout the process and felt completely comfortable with everything. I am honestly looking forward to going back to them which NEVER happens with me. The office decor is really cute, high tech and they have inspirational quotes in each room which are nice to read while trying to keep yourself busy. You never see anyone in the waiting room because they schedule their appointments appropriately and take their patients as soon as they arrive.

I was informed the entirety of the process. I would like to highlight that his dental assistants are fantastic! They're also incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Lastly, Baltimore Washington Endodontics has an incredible front desk that is welcoming and friendly. They were able to provide me with information to give my insurance company to ensure it would be covered. If I need future work done, I will not hesitate to return to Baltimore Washington Endodontics.

They made sure that I understood what was going to happen even though I have been there for the same thing before. The dentist is amazing. When I called the receptionist said that the specialist had to go... While it wasn't ideal that I was slightly late, usually there is a fifteen minute grace periods for things like this. The procedure in question was a root canal... I have never seen so much lack of empathy in a single medical professional office ever. I explained I had to drive out from almost an hour away, they said it didn't matter. I ended up coming after having a horrible experience with a Medicaid dentist in Laurel. I was in pain, had two extremely ill fitting molar crowns, a tooth that was in bad shape after a botched filling, and needed additional work. After practically begging my endodontist to refer me to a competent dentist, he gave me information for two colleagues near my home that he trusted. I prayed and after calling and speaking with Dr. Hamidi's wife who was the receptionist at that time, my mind was made up. God didn't disappoint! Although my insurance isn't accepted here, I utilized their savings plan (I'm literally chewing through my retirement savings lol) and here we are! It's well worth it considering the effect oral health has on the rest of the body. As someone with a chronic health condition, I make it a point to take care of my teeth and gums! So, after a thorough examination, he conservatively prioritized the most pressing issues and went from there. He was up for the challenge (the previous dentist said nobody would be willing to fix the crowns due to liability). Dr. Hamidi and his team are a Godsend, they even coordinated an emergency root canal for me on Thanksgiving Eve when everywhere was booked! Troy Hill Dental is clean and aesthetically pleasing.
