I can't begin to tell you how many times I have brought one of my cars here after going to the dealership, only to have IV Auto tell me I don't need some of things the dealership said I needed and paid half of what they were trying to charge me. I am always grateful for their honesty and quality work. Today I went to my dealership again for something simple (windshield washer clogged) and was shocked on what they wanted to charge me. I drove straight to IV Auto only to have them tell me to pull up my car right away. The clogged was cleared and working for me. All I was charged was a fist bump and a smile. Service I wanted: alignment and tire rotation. Cons: Got home and noticed the tire rotation was NOT performed. Mauricio is rude and condescending. Pros: Sergio the owner was super apologetic and professional and he did the tire rotation himself. I was going to give 1 star due to Mauricio and the service I received originally but Sergio made up for it when I went back. This is my oil pan drain plug that they stripped and didn't say anything to me. When I last had them change my oil they ruined my drain plug and my oil pan. I was a loyal customer until this happened. I will never support this business ever again if this is the kind of service they provide. The least they could have done was pay to replace my oil pan and apologize for all the inconvenience and incompetence of the service tech who did this. Sergio lost a loyal customer. This is my first time here but my fiancé has brought his multiple vehicles here, and he highly recommend them. Located off of Whittier blvd. easy to spot and with plenty of free parking. I brought my car in for a full synthetic oil change, fairly priced. I actually went to another shop first and they were $30 more. In addition to the oil change my tire had a nail causing a slow leak. I didn't make an appointment but went in early and they were happy to help. They gave me a time frame of about 90 minutes. I went on a walk, although they do have a small waiting area socially distanced. They were able to replace my tire and do the oil change in a timely manner and reasonable price. We were calling around for quotes to replace a window regulator on my Husband's Honda Civic and needed it done Asap. I called IV Auto and Jessie said the part would be $115 and labor would be $70, he would call his distributer for the part and call me back. He called back 20 min. later and said the part would now be $200 and $70 for the labor. He did not include the price of the motor which we did not need or ask for. Just wanting to get it done we agreed to the extra $85.00, he said he would have the part in a couple of hours and to bring the car in. When we came in no one was at the desk, Jessie was MIA , and finally an older guy came and told us the part would be $250 + tax and labor would be $280. When asked why so much for labor he said he had no idea where Jessie got the $70 from ,even tho Jessie said it was on the computer, but to install a regulator is $140. I asked then why are you charging double? He stated well when you get in there you usually find more things wrong. I replied, sounds like you are already planning on that! Others have said they will quote you a price to get you in the door but then Jack up the price as we experienced. Don't trust this place, there are honest mechanics elsewhere. read more

I was helping my mom fill her tires with air only to find out why her new car had low tire pressure so quickly; there was a big honkin' nail in one of them. I called IV Auto as they were nearby and seem to be well equipped to handle the issue. They answered very promptly and said yes they can. Stopped by and saw a pretty full lot of cars so I was expecting a long wait time. Checked in, grabbed some coffee, took a chair nap, answered a call, and was ready to get back onto the road with a patched tire and no nails in about 20-30 minutes, with a similar cost to boot. I would give it zero if I could. I took my car here to get the cv axles fixed everything was fine until a couple months later my transmission fluid was leaking. They took a look and told me I needed a WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION FOR 4K!!!! i then took it down to the ford dealership and they only charged me $800 ! to fix it. THEY TRIED CHARGING ME 4K???? FOR A $800 DOLLAR FIX!!! And when I called to tell them the problem they didn't even know what I was talking about.These guys dont even know what they are doing. It turns out it was the cv axle that connects to my cv axles which you MUST REPLACE when REPLACING CV AXLES which they didn't do. DONT TAKE UR CAR HERE THEY WILL MISDIAGNOSE YOUR CAR!!! read more
