My kitchen sink had a drip, had to shut the handle just right. After weeks of searching for what I wanted (by the time I got to the store, went completely opposite direction), I happened to be on Facebook and this post pops up for Backwater Plumbing. Something about the post, the logo, the GUT feeling and he was the guy. I reached out after work on a Saturday, apologizing for attempting to connect on the weekend, with ease he responded, and a few texts later we schedule the appointment. His communication was on point, they arrived on time and I happened to be here and got to overhear him training a new employee (day 1, poor kid meets Me) and he was so great making sure the younger man understood. Sure it's just a sink but this is my home so the experience is important too. He had to redo all of the piping under the sink (I went from a 2 to 1 bowl), it was so clean under the sink after they left. Nothing left on the floor, the counters, all superb! I will certainly be using Backwater Plumbing again!

The heat and AC from the mini split unit is her sole source of heating and cooling. In June, the unit went down and we used Martel to evaluate the issue. They determined the thermal seal somehow broke, which stopped the unit. They suggested reaching out to Eli to see if he could help us navigate the warrantied part with Samsung. He was unresponsive, then had his office manager send me a dismissive email saying there was nothing they could do. My contractor then contacted him and Eli stated he did not want to help us. We understood we would have to pay for the repair labor but just needed a hand to get the warrantied part. It's disappointing that he doesn't stand behind and support the product he sells. He lost a customer in us and a contractor that will no longer do business with him.

I had a technician out for a leak near my furnace in July 2023. The A/C was continuously running…read moreand would not shut off. While the technician was in the process of making a repair, somehow the wire from my furnace to my second floor thermostat was clean cut. Not broken, snapped or frayed- a clean cut. They told me it was now my responsibility to make the repair with an electrician even though the Strogen's technician cut the wire. The electrician I had from Quality Electric informed me that the wire was cleanly cut and not accidental. Strogen's has denied any and all responsibility for the cut wire. They told me I was on my own for the $682 bill for running a new wire from the second floor to basement unit. If a technician from Strogen's intentionally cut a NECESSARY wire, why did they not rectify the situation or find an electrician to do it instead of making the repair for their mistake my financial responsibility. They're supposed to fix things, not damage more in the process and leave the customer to figure it out Do NOT recommend this company! Edit to my review: there was another one star review with the opinion that the customer was taken advantage of because she is a single woman. Unfortunately I feel as though they did the same to me and clearly have done so to others as well. They see a single female and believe they can give the run around more easily and just pass the buck and make it impossible to resolve a situation that was THEIR fault
