I came to Radio-Active to fix a poorly-done previous attempt at upgrading the sound in my 2014 Corvette. You'll speak with the owner, Ash, first. He takes the time to listen to your objectives, talk about your budget, and understand your preferences. He'll offer suggestions and make sure you understand where you have price/performance options. We ended up special ordering a pair of mini-amplifiers and customizing a storage cubby in the trunk to create a "stealth" upgrade that didn't use up cargo space. During the installation, Ash called me to let me know about progress and to give me some further options after they had pulled off panels and seen some damage done by the previous installer. He emailed pictures so I could follow along. There was no "hard sell" attempt to urge additional purchases, but I decided to replace the damaged speakers as part of the project. They asked me to come in and sit in the car for final tuning by ear. I was able to get the frequencies fine-tuned to match my preferences and hearing response. I was impressed to see that they had applied protective film around all exterior panels where they might lean while working, and that they had the driver's seat well protected as well. When I was satisfied with the sound, they locked in the tuning on their computerized application and sent me on my way feeling well cared for, with a significant improvement in the sound and complete faith that the installation was done professionally and with attention to every detail. We attempted to hire someone else to finish the job but no one would touch the work. We paid double to complete the job because we had to start over. This also put us behind schedule with other contractors during our construction phase. He was also halfway into completing the job. We were building a multi million dollar home at the time. We had no issues with all the contractors we hired to do work.

While doing a home remodel Steve was there to bid the project and collect a substantial up-front check for the hardware. And after a few missed appointments he even showed up and did about 90% of the work. Of course, he collected a check for the balance and promised to be back with the few final items to complete the job leaving somewhat of a hot tangled cable mess hanging in the closet. And after six months and a dozen missed appointments (and family matters and illnesses and every other excuse imaginable) it still all hangs there in the closet waiting for completion. As Josie said, Steve will be there for the initial install and to collect your check but is horrible for service issues. They seldom answer their phone, and if you are lucky enough to get them to commit to an "appointment", be prepared for them not to show up. Follow up Report: After writing this negative review and receiving a call from Steve's wife (business manager for Creative Wiring Solutions) he promptly set an appointment to finish the work he started. He actually showed up on-time for the appointment he set and completed the work well.  Steve is a kind guy with strong attention to detail in his work. After this experience, I realized it was not his carelessness that dragged a simple job into a 6 month mess, but his massively in-demand services. He's completely over-scheduled and overextended without help. At the end of the day, I appreciate Steve's willingness to take responsibility for what happened and his desire to make it right. However, I don't think that writing a negative Yelp review to precipitate a response should have been required. Chris is very professional, and his demeanor is very kind. In a relatively short time, he resolved issues that we had been dragging for four years and which had only become glaringly obvious in the past 18 months of the work-from-home scenario. Whatever suggestions we had found online involved quite a bit of money to implement them, and Chris used the equipment we have with the caveat that, due to its age, the time will come when we might want to find a replacement.
