Transferred a patient here from my hospital, they were attentive, paid attention to details, I spoke with the resident family and they are happy we were able to find a temporary home for their loved ones. This place has been such a relief for our family. The staff are always friendly and seem to really go out of their way to make residents feel comfortable. The building is clean, bright, and has a calm vibe to it. My loved one has adjusted well, which says a lot. Communication has been easy, and everyone I've talked to has been professional and kind. Good place for the love ones. My in-law was admitted here after surgery and staff were nice and responsive. Rehab got him up and going quick. They could be busy at times but for the most part they are accomodating especially the management. This place doesn't smell like other nursing home. Highly recommended. read more

I walked in to there facility and was interested in having a family member stay here first thing I noticed was how clean the facility is, not only was the facility clean but I was greeted with the upmost enjoyable staff and I def felt at home with the staff. My father was transferred from a hospital to this nursing facility site unseen. I was very grateful when I first entered, it was very clean and a welcoming staff with a sign in & exit process. The nursing and medical staff are very professional,helpful & very compassionate towards their patients. I witness many acts of kindness to patients they really do have Angels working there doing Gods work... The housekeeping staff is always cleaning and very helpful... Overall 4 With All things considered in a SNF. 1. always smells decent, no odor 2. Clean 3. Staff is nice 4. Rooms are okay 5. 5 stars for Rehabilitation services. 6. They are very Limited on their activities to keep interest of residents/ patients that are getting more mobile but still unable to stay at home by them self. This is reason for 4 star overall. They have a strong knowledgeable crew many of them have worked there for years, demonstrating a caring and professional attitude towards the residents, family members and any visitors. The Staff at Intercommunity in Norwalk is very friendly, they took care of my grandfather after he suffered a stroke and needed round the clock care. Things were tough during that time and emotions high but the nurses and the office staff were attentive and caring. They provided my grandfather with much needed respite and care. They even had programs prior to covid that involved us with him. Although he missed being at home, they were very caring for him, and made sure he was comfortable. The facility always smelled clean, his room was clean and he ate very well. The center makes sure their clients are cared for with as much compassion as if they were at home with loved ones. Having my father in this place was the worst mistake ever... They had him in horrible conditions. I truly hope people read this review because i don't think our situation was unique and this may be happening to other patients. Feel free to contact me for details. My father had two strokes in this place. He never was able to recuperate from that and he couldn't even say anything as he was not able to speak. After the pandemic we were able to take them from this place but it was too late, he passed away like 2 years ago. I can't thank your team enough for being so compassionate, professional and quick to respond. No facility, company or organization is perfect and so I see the real test of excellence to be how willing they are to mediate issues and how willing to accommodate special needs. Worst place to have your loved one. My father in law was held there and they never followed any of his care regimen including physical therapy. Not only did they not do his therapy, we would show up and he was tied up to the bed. After a few weeks we was getting worse. We asked about the medications they were giving him and they could not tell me why they were giving him anti-psychotic medication that has sever side effects. They had no idea why they were giving him that medicine! We took him out and sent him back to the hospital and they helped him so much more. They fought us all the way. read more

My friend recently stayed at Intercommunity Healthcare which is a skilled nursing facility and Sub Acute facility. The staff is very friendly and the building has a family friendly feeling as soon as you walk in the door. I recently had to place my mother in this facility, this was a terrifying experience. Until I met the staff there, a nurse Lynn that answered all my question along with the social worker. They assured my mother would be in the best of care, my mother was at another place close to home and had the most horrible experience. So I was skeptical about placing her here. They welcomed me to me the staff and myself and sister did.I met a few of the nurses and all were pleasant but Trioana stood out from the rest she was so genuinely kind and warm that even with my mother not speaking English that wasn't an obstacle for her to communicate with my mother. At the previous place my mother was neglected and had bed sores this is why it was so hard for me to once again place her in a home but I'm unable to care for her myself. Lynn told me they had the best treatment nurses! Yésica not only took my mother's would seriously but was able to heal her! Her wounds closed in a couple of months. Once my mom was stable I was able to bring her home, I never was able to thank the staff from the Administration to the nurses thank you, thank you! I can't thank them enough!! read more
