Exceptional Dining Room Chair Repair! I brought in a midcentury Italian dining room chair that had been shattered. It looked ruined, and I was going to throw it away out of frustration. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I spent close to $7,000 having him restore two couches and two chairs. 18 months later none of the work has held up and this is after having him redo six cushions. He was rude, obnoxious, overpromised and under-delivered. Please, please there are better companies out there. He doesn't warranty the work so if it doesn't hold up you are out the money. Found Interior Touch Up on t he Internet and took a chance they could fix our dining room table and chairs that our dogs chewed up. Well, much to our surprise, Barry and his team brought back our reupholstered chairs with fixed braces where the dogs chewed nearly all the way through the wood, made all the legs match he color of the rest of the table and chairs which had faded. We were on the verge of purchasing a new table and selling ours for cheap only to find out that our table was worth a lot of money and is now restored to brand new. What a job! I'm surprised at all of the positive reviews for this business. My experience was quite different. I contacted Barry because my leather loveseat was showing some wear and tear. I sent him a few pictures and he gave me a quote of $600 over the phone. I thought it was a little high but I figured it would be worth it if I got another 5 years out of it. I should have been a little suspicious when he said that he preferred cash. The end result was that they were in and out in less than an hour. The color guy who did my cushions, did a great job matching and restoring the color. Barry's repair of a small rip was less than satisfactory. He said that the wear around the rip site was due to the oil in my hair and that he couldn't guarantee the repair. The following day, I called Barry to let him know that the leather along the back of the loveseat was sticky and felt tacky. I thought it might be due to some of the liquids he used. He blew me off by telling me that the job wasn't guaranteed because off the oil in my hair and that I should keep the area covered. What that has to do with the stickiness is beyond me. Here's what the rip area looks like now. What do you think, is this worth $600? read more

We had two issues, one, we needed a dining room table repaired, and another table refinished. Barry, came out and repaired the dining room table same day, and he did an excellent job. He took our kitchen table with him and refinished it and six chairs and they look fantastic. Barry is a really great guy. He is easy to work with and his prices are extremely fair. He repaired our dining room table for less than half of what I was quoted from Furniture Lab. His refinishing job on our older table was beyond our expectations. All the items came back looking like new, and I have no issues with the response time or quality of the work. We have a leather sofa, chair and hassock. The finish on the cushions on the sofa had rubbed off revealing a red color underneath. The hassock had scratches from our dog scratching the finish. Barry came out with Oscar, his assistant. He was prompt and courteous and very neat, putting down a drop cloth before working on the sofa and hassock. His work was amazing. The sofa looks perfect. The hassock, which was scratched through the finish, looks new! You can't see the scratches!
