This is a great old school bar. What could be called a dive bar, except that it has charm. It's been here forever a very long time, according to what I'm told. I can see why. It's charming in a way that old bars can be. Parking is a large lot. If it's full, assume you'll be standing. Staff has always been good. Some are great. It's all solid for me. Don't plan to get weird about drink orders. Your Manhattan can be sweet, your martini dry, but No Fuzzy Elephant Butts, or any other cocktail served in only one bar or another state. :) Seating is plenty. The back of the joint has a low ceiling, and chairs to suit it. You you can't handle it, you likely drank too much anyway and should rest yourself. I'm definitely going to return. Stopped in on a random Tues evening after dinner w some girlfriends. Interlude is a cool lil throw back dive bar. Looks the same in there as it did in the 90s! Love the decor, chairs are super comfy so you can post up for a game or the night. Def had some interesting characters patronizing the place, which always makes for stellar people watching. Music got a lil loud to where it was hard to hold conversations. But, the bartender nailed a special request, sat and chatted for awhile...she was very cool. Recommend a visit. read more

This is a great place off the beaten path. Drinks are great! Nice place to relax and have conversation.

3 out of 5 on the dive scale. The tunes were slow and jazzy while the lights were low enough not to see the imperfections on walls and beat up leather chairs. Seems like a cool sports bar for a game day. Plenty of TVs and seems to be a friendly place with the same drinks as every other low rent bar in Omaha. read more

I was there on Saturday night and I was a little busy. I was trying to play some Big Red Keno and was able to place my first bet. After that number hit I wanted to play another round but could not find a wait staff that could write a keno ticket. I missed out on 3 rounds of gaming and could of won each round. By the time the 1 wait staff made it back to me she said that they are not a keno hall and I should go somewhere else if I want to play keno. I would suggest that Big Red Keno look at their license. I am giving a 4-star to this lounge because I needed a quiet place to relax when I arrived in Omaha after an 8-hour drive. This fit the bill! There is no TV, sports, loud laughter... simple tables/chairs and a bar. Minimal decor. BUT, The bartender knows her stuff. She could mix anything the customers requested. They have a small selection of the usual Bud, Miller, Stella, etc, and 3 locals. They continue to increase their local brews, which I prefer: that's a personal thing. PLUS the prices are nice! There's no food, snacks, etc. I appreciated the music that was provided. Guests could use music from there "iphones" to transfer music to the system: that's, indeed, different. Hop in your Delorian and set the time to 1985! When you arrive at your destination you should be parked in front of the Interlude Lounge! You never know what you will see at this bar. It's a dive but a fun one. Prices are reasonable and the patrons are welcoming. My prediction is it hasn't been updated since the early 80's! This is a great old school lounge in the center of Omaha. At least what I consider to be mid-town anyway. The vibe here is great and our server (Stephanie) was fantastic. We had multiple tables pushed together and she never missed a beat all night. It's a very mixed crowd from 20's to 80's and the decor and music show that diversity. Very comfortable lounge. The interior is similar to an old Mexican restaurant. I have been here on and off for years. Located in proximity to the Lithuanian Bakery and a great spot to go to after a tattoo at Liquid Courage. Stiff drinks and cold beer. I'm here almost every Thursday night. My good friend, and coworker, Steph cocktails/bar tends here and I love just kickin it and shootin the shit with the regulars. Drink selections are good. I usually drink a Moscow mule, scotch or a beer. Whatever I get, I know the pours are going to be good and the prices fair. Skinny, the bartender is a super cool dude, too! I've spent many work parties or random get together with friends here just because it's a good vibe and great staff, which make for a good time! (The jukebox is my favorite!!!) Shout out to Steph though because she is seriously one of the most cheerful and outgoing cocktail waitresses. If I didn't know her, I would come here just to see her because she is that much fun. Scott runs a first class bar. He is a class act like mom and dad - Lavonne and Marty. Best annual citywide chili cook-off of all time that may happen again this year - hopefully during the play-offs. I will win unfortunately as usual. The regular patrons are friendly and will not hurt you too badly. And there exists a very good mix of us old folks and then the young ones. The bar tenders and waitresses are very friendly. Pretty too - the gals, that is. Plenty of screens to let you watch from just about any angle. Great job Scott. read more

My husband and I and 3 other couples went here before a dinner reservation for drinks. My husband bought a round for the table which couldn't have been more than $60 but made the mistake of leaving our tab open. When trying to settle up our bill for the one and only round we bought the bartender said she put it all on one bill and one of the gentleman we were with said he took care of it. Later when checking my credit card account it showed a 93.00 charge which we did not approve or sign a receipt for. I am fine with paying what I owe but not being over charged. When contacting the owner of the bar Scott who was very rude and accused me of trying to get something for free but after a lot of arguing by the end of 2nd conversation said he would issue me a check or Venmo which still hasn't happened. Also, when I asked him to give me a receipt or breakdown of what the charges were he was unable to do so. And to top it off 3 days later there was another 18.00 charge to my credit card that we did not approve.... who does that. Is that even legal. I have disputed this with my credit card company. BEWARE be careful when running a TAB at this place because I believe they are double charging people and some definite fraudulent activity going on!!!! read more

I started off asking a purely innocent question, if there are drjnk specials. It ended in a debate where I was told where the door was. Apparently drink specials didn't exist in the 1980s, where I feel like I am in this dive. Step back in your time machine to a juke box older than dinosaurs. The chairs are awkward, if you are taller than 5 feet I do t recommend sitting in one. They also wheel which can present a dangerous problem. The warm beer tasted great and the bartenders warm flattering personality made my night! At least the mixed drink had a lot of vodka, which I need for this horrible exhausting trip into the very worst of the 80s. read more

Classic lounge... down to the soft lighting, comfy chairs, and stiff drinks. Good place to have a drink and talk with friends. Good, attentive staff... even though the place was slammed Saturday night... drinks kept coming on regular basis. Crowd is varied from older 50+ to hipsters. Never had an issue here. Great place to invite a lot of friends and just hang out! They employees are really cool and allow you to move chairs whereever you want so you can sit next to friends. You can push tables together, order crazy drinks in crazy orders, and they still bring out the right drink. You can play darts, watch tv, sit at the bar, sit at tables, and enjoy food. Reminds me of Cheers...everyone knows your name, knows your drink, reasonably priced. Yes, it's a little dated, but just about everyone who has been to a bar in Omaha, at some point, has been to the Interlude. Tuesday and Thursday are "pull tab night," where you can get your round for as little as 50 cents a drink...or full price! I refer to it as "my bar." I've met some great people there since it was sold two years ago after the passing of Annie Coffman, who owned it for 19+ years. You have to check it out.
