Very busy on a late Saturday night, but that's to be expected. We stopped in and initially sat at some booths that didn't have any tables, which was odd, but one of the guys working there was able to find two and bring them over. We were able to get a different booth that fit everyone and it was very nice. The drinks were delicious too. They had different Christmas themed ones but they had a French 75 that they used a spiced pear liquor with and it was fantastic.

Red Lion Lounge is easily one of my favorite spots in town. The moment you walk in, you're hit with that old-school vibe--warm lighting, vintage charm, and the kind of cozy atmosphere that makes you want to settle in for the night. They feature live jazz multiple nights a week, which adds the perfect touch and really sets them apart from other lounges. Next door is their speakeasy, The Lion's Den, and it is such a unique little treasure. It looks like you stepped straight into your grandma's house from the 70s--in the best, most nostalgic way. Think wood paneling, retro furniture, and the kind of quirky charm that makes you smile the second you walk in. Their cocktail menu is reasonably priced, especially for the quality. I've tried several drinks here, but the espresso martini is the standout for me--honestly one of the best in the city. Smooth, balanced, and just strong enough to make you feel like you made an excellent life choice. Whether you're here for the jazz, the cocktails, or just the overall vibe, Red Lion Lounge and The Lion's Den never miss. Highly recommend for a night out that feels both classic and fun.

My boyfriend and I happened to stop into Red Lion Lounge while exploring Blackstone on a weekend night, and we were instantly intrigued by the gorgeous, vintage setting. The lounge is beautifully decorated, and has lush and moody seating, with dim lighting that sets the mood beautifully. We were very excited, especially upon seeing the signs about live jazz performances held here. I am a vintage aficionado and we both love jazz, so we intend to come back for a jazz date night. Our drinks were decent, but our bartender was standoffish and not very helpful or attentive, which made us slightly uncomfortable at the bar. We ended up moving to a corner table, where we were joined by friends. Overall, I would like to come back and experience a jazz night here, but hopefully the experience is slightly more welcoming next time.

Love this little posh dive in Blackstone! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the popcorn that's all over the place and kind of ruins the vibe. Otherwise vibes are immaculate, like I said it's definitely dive-y but upscale. Like you can come for a super chill time, not have to dress up, but can also get a fantastic drink. Especially at Christmas, the lights make it even more cozy. I think they have live music some nights, too. The drinks are great, definitely come for an espresso martini. The monthly special was a pear French 75 made with a lovely pear liqueur that the bartender actually came out to show us when we raved about it! The prices are pretty average for a bar in Blackstone, but not excessively so. Don't expect typical dive bar prices, but also don't expect typical dive bar drinks, you're in for a wonderful surprise here.

I've been to the Red Lion many times before -- I like their comfortable seating and dark, yet lively vibe -- but on the last visit, I just now realized they have food and it's great! We got the charcuterie board and meatballs. There are numerous meatballs covered in a sweet sauce, which was a steal for six dollars. Additionally, their charcuterie board had good variety and it was a great pairing to snack on while drinking.

I've been back here several times on live jazz nights and I love it! Can't beat the vibe. Drinks are great and there's often popcorn! I love how they come around to tables so you don't have to go order at the bar. And the lion's den next door is its own awesome spot!

Red Lion Lounge was busy on a Friday night when I went with a group. We had a hard time finding a table for 6 of us but did end up finding one after pulling up a few chairs. I got a vodka lemonade and some individuals in our group got Paloma's. They did not like their drinks because they tasted like cough medicine so the drinks may have been a little off that day. The environment is fun for a night out and I'd try it again. They have popcorn as well to enjoy! There is street parking nearby and the drinks were well priced.

This little cozy spot is a good vibe, & everything visually appealing. The down side is that the cocktails/drinks don't match the vibe and decor. They aren't creative or even good. However stop in and hopefully they will get better.

I planned on eating at Stirnella next door for dinner, but they were releasing a new fall menu and wouldn't open until later than usual. Fortunately Red Lion Lounge was right around the corner, so I settled into one of the comfy stools at the bar and ordered a Black Manhattan. The bartender seemed a little standoffish until he saw my tattoos, which we got into a conversation about. That's usually a good icebreaker at bars. The cocktail was fantastic, and I love that every bartender here has some sort of seasonal special that they cross-promote for each other. There seemed to be an equal amount of locals and first timers. Great spot for groups. Would love to come back and try more of the drinks. Oh and there seems to be happy hour! Overall cool loungey spot with fascinating artwork and old-timey movies on the screen.

During the weekdays, I took a few meetings there while enjoying matcha and snacks. On another day, I simply came in to relax and unwind. What I loved most is that The Reading Room somehow manages to be a place for everyone. It's somewhere to meet new friends, get some work done, have a quiet moment alone, or come out and have fun at an event. Kids, adults, cocktail lovers, tea drinkers, readers, remote workers. There's a little something for everyone. And Sam, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. I was spoiled with great conversation, genuine hospitality, and impeccable service throughout my visits.
