This is the worst post office I've ever been to and I've lived in multiple county's and cities. The…read morepost office clerks are not helpful and they are rude. I was trying to ship a box with a pre-label and it was through an eBay sale. The man at the desk told me that I needed a QR code and I insisted that I opted for the option without a QR code. I had already printed out the label and taped it on the box. There was no need for the QR code. He said I could not ship it that way, so just to be on the safe side, I stepped out of line had no phone signal inside so I went outside and I contacted eBay and they said that the pre-printed label would be fine because that was the option I chose. Mind you It took about 30 minutes to get a person on the phone, I go back into the post office and wait in line , when I went back to the desk with another clerk this time because I did not want to speak with the one that I had previously spoken to who was no help, because he was so dead set on me, scanning some kind of QR code.The second clerk was able to process and scan my pre-printed label within 2 minutes and no problem the box got shipped so I spent about 45minutes at that point wasted trying to figure out this QR code that did not exist. Extremely annoyed that this could have been shipped and processed in like five minutes took so long, this was the first time I had to ship something in this manner and a little help or even insight would have been nice , instead I got blank looks and told no and then told yes by another. So annoyed, I will not be back to this post office ever again!

The Post Office's updated look looks really nice. And there's parking available again. I can't…read morebelieve I'm geeking out. First, there's an area where you can drop off your letters and packages, a self-service area to buy stamps and to ship your own boxes, smart lockers to pick up your post office packages more easily, and more. The next area is the actual post office service area, where you stand in line. Now, the waiting room counter area is bigger. The line moves along the counter, so no longer do I have to kick packages forward (unless the package is huge - there's a joke in there somewhere), and I can place my packages on the counter and move them forward. I just had the easiest time shipping out all my holiday gifts because I placed them on the counter and moved them along easily. Thank you, counter! The service here is always professional, friendly, and fun. The line length usually sucks, but I understand that's not anyone's fault. But the workers here always seem to be in good spirits, so I can't be annoyed at the wait time for long when they are so friendly. The post office is WAY more space efficient, and the renovations - while lengthy - were totally worth the wait! The only suggestion I heard while waiting in line is for there to be music playing in the background. That would definitely perk my spirits up even more, but it may make it harder to talk to the cashier unless it is playing at a low volume. Just a suggestion, Oxnard USPS!

There's still not enough parking and they still only have two self service kiosks, with a ton of open space that's completely wasted. They added lockers and giant screens on the walls instead of adding anything that would actually serve the community. Ridiculous.

One time they all hopped over the counter and helped me tape and attach labels. Yesterday, I had the wrong box for the label so the young lady put tape over the entire box so I could get it out. Had to mail another international package yesterday but this time I grabbed it to check the…read moredeclared value in the software printed out form their clerk typed in (data taken from my written customs form) They do not understand how their own software works and they don't check the declared total values to make sure they match. I shipped TWO items at $14.99 each- total value $29.98. Their software printed out copy of the customs form listed the total value as $59.96- because they input into their software incorrectly and it multiplied my total value of all items by the total NUMBER of all items AGAIN! ($29.98 x2) Just like my May package that ended up costing $73 in VAT even tho it was a gift under the £50 limit (6 items / $40 declared value by me- these idiots put $240 total value on their printed form cuz 6x40 ) This time I caught them and confronted the manager. What a waste of my time "If you check the gift box they don't charge VAT" she says- not true! The manager there doesn't know their OWN policies and refused to take any responsibility when confronted with their mistake or own the fact that she doesn't train her staff properly Check your packages like a hawk before you pay! The writing on their printed out version of your form is teeny tiny but it's worth checking because they can't be trusted
