Horrible. I filled out a change of address form. Because I had a short term rental in Camarillo I spoke with a manager to be sure the change of address was in the system. He checked & verified everything was fine. After that I received no forwarded mail. I only received mail addressed to my new address. At 4 weeks of this, I reached out to the USPS office near my new address. The change of address submitted & checked with a manager at this office WAS CANCELED BECAUSE I DIDN'T VERIFY MY IDENTITY. My mail was piling up at my address in Camarillo. 4 weeks of mail. I had to file a new change of address, my driver's license was scanned, and seriously, after 5 weeks, I am getting my mail. read more

OMG, if you want to treated like an idiot, this is the place to go!!!! Hands down the rudest people I have ever seen!!! Usually the lines are short, and that's the only advantage of going here! I don't understand if you're being paid to do a job, why can you be an eagle and not a duck. If that line doesn't make any sense to you look up the book: YOU CAN'T SEND A DUCK TO EAGLE SCHOOL...quick read and so true regarding hiring and costumer service! They may totally excel in the back room division, but definitely only ducks working the front desk in terms of how they handle the customer service division. read more

This post office is really small, almost a "Mayberry" type feel to it. There's two clerks (at most) and it's normally not busy after 2 PM on the weekdays. I'm usually in and out within 10-20 minutes tops. The parking lot is out back, but I would advise to park along Somis road because the lot/alley is full of potholes and your car and suspension will not love you after a drive through. read more

I totally laughed when I read the "Mayberry" reference. Yes, this post office is totally like that!! I used to travel to Somis a lot... so I've been here tons of times. It's tiny and old fashioned and quaint. Adorable....and also very country. The parking is out front off the main street... but you'll have to park in the dirt. I have used their drop off mailbox twice, several months apart and both have never been delivered. I have also sent packages from this location. Late!! I now take a drive and go to the post office on Pickwick. NO TROUBLE! Great people! read more

Absolutely love this post office! Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and fast! You don't have to wait in long lines. I don't think many people know about this treasure. It's very small. They have a few shipping supplies you can buy. They also have a few PO Boxes you can rent/buy. The only thing I don't like is the parking. You can park on the street but the street is very busy so it's hard to get out. They have private parking in the back but the road behind to get out is very bad and torn up so it hard on the car. read more

This is the WORST post office in the area!! Cindy is a total nut job loser who will try to charge you a fee for sneezing in line there. She actually told me to "get to the back of the line" when I had waited for 25 minutes already for her to help 6 people ahead of me. She said I had too many packages to pick up and that she needed to help the other people behind me first!!!! Seriously she needs to be FIRED! I got pretty upset and would never normally get upset in public but I just couldn't help raising my voice and telling her as loud as possible without yelling that "I have waited in line like everyone else and YOU NEED TO HELP ME NOW. I WILL NOT GO TO THE BACK OF THE LINE. DO YOUR JOB CINDY." She is worthless and I hope that she gets fired before she's allowed to retire. She is a total scab to society. I first came to this office, back in April 2016, after reading the good reviews of this small office. I actually opened a P.O. box there, and the lady helping back them was very nice and courteous. I felt the reviews (OLD reviews--check dates) were correct...however, this past month and perhaps the previous June (I don't go too frequent to check my mail) there was a "new lady" , which I regret not writing down her name (but I will next time and will update, most likely is the same lady the other recent reviewer is referring) . Well, she was pretty rude the couple of times I had to go the counter desk. I could get the sense of it just by entering and saying "good morning" which see seemed annoyed to hear. I had to repeat, "I am just being polite and greeting you". Enough said, I was going to pick up a package. The end. Yesterday, I needed to pay postage for a letter. There was an additional charge with a no clear description on the screen. I just wanted to know what was that extra charge for and asked her. She seemed pretty annoyed for my inquire and said: "I cannot see what's in that screen" (the signing pad screen). I didn't say anything, but once the receipt was printed out, it had the same "no clear" description. Having that receipt in my hand, I pointed to the item line and ask her again. She was totally pissed and said "it may be for the extra junk in the envelope". I was offended!! It was a card in a letter envelope, that's all. Not junk in it. Can a public service worker refer like that to a piece of mail??? I couldn't believe her answer. I told her it "wasn't junk". She didn't apologize for her usage of word or anything. I wanted to make this awful behavior public, here in Yelp. And after seeing there is another complain for this USPS employee, I was convinced I'm not the only one upset by her behavior (check the other 1 star review). Some may think it's okay to reply like that to a customer, but NOT in THIS COUNTRY. She's a PUBLIC SERVER. With our taxes and our business we PAY for HER Job and all the benefits she gets. Have someone else deserving a good job and benefits, work at this location and take her off. read more

I've been going to the US Post Office in Somis for approximately two years. I used to have a P.O. Box elsewhere but because I had to go thru Somis on a weekly basis I decided to obtain a P.O. Box here. The rates are pretty competitive BUT as many reviewers have stated, the parking is atrocious, dangerous and not really worth the effort to getting your mail there. This would not be so much of a problem IF the staff was FRIENDLY and COURTEOUS. I concur with other reviewers in observing that the female workers are RUDE. ESPECIALLY, the one who's first name has the syllable SIN in it..wink.wink.. She ALWAYS gives people the third degree on letters and packages that they are mailing i.e, anything flammable, chemical, fragile, potentially hazardous, lithium battery or any other reason to hassle you. She ALWAYS wants to get into an argument or start some type of drama or try to LECTURE you on her opinions of how things should be packaged or mailed. They look for ANY reason to charge extra. For example I tried shipping a 12X6X30 inch package to New York, and she wanted to charge me a "balloon" charge! WHAT IS THAT??? Then she tries charging me for TAPE to seal an envelope! PLUS, she won't let me send a 1st class letter with tracking. It has to have a MINIMUM level of thickness to be tracked. I am able to obtain these services at 3 other Posts Offices WITHOUT these hassles and drama! Do YOURSELF a favor and avoid this place like the PLAGUE!! read more
