My experience was horrible with " the manager " she was super unprofessional trying to say that only my packagaes get lost, but proceeded to tell me to go home and my package would be there now, unfortunately i went back and it wasn't in my mailbox. I went to go chase the mailman myself and brought him back, he had placed it in the wrong mailbox #. One mistake it happens to everyone but this has happened to me twice before with perfumes. Not assuming that they're taking them, but placing them in other mailboxes also means losing them especially when theres many dishonest people. Great place. Closest post office to my house so I went there to send parcel and was surprised with friendliness of all the employees. Woman with name Alpha is amazing, very helpful and welcoming. We've had 3 packages "delivered in our box" but actually NEVER show up. So incredibly frustrating. They have not been helpful at all in helping solve these issues with me. And they have taken no responsibility or even apologized. They say "accidents happen--you've got to call us right away". Why is it my responsibility to make sure you're doing your job? I get it, an accident is understandable. But 3 missing packages in 2 months is beyond ridiculous. I went to do a change of address and they didn't even ask for id or anything I now live across the country and have to go back to the post office to verify I changed it. The system is all automated when calling. I said representative and even tried to say change of address when it came up on menu. It kept trying to get me to track a package. Moved to Moorpark and this is worst post office & mail carriers. I received notice from Amazon my package could not be delivered and to contact post office for redeliver. I've been home with front door open while contractors coming in and out of house to install items. I flagged the mail car as she was coming down the street and she said she will not deliver if mail box blocked by car and she insisted these pick up trucks have been here all week. I told this is first and only time carpet and counter installers have been here but she wouldn't believe me and advised me to call the office....I'm guessing that's not going to address the issue. She explained even if veh parked legally if she can't reach the mail box from her car seat no mail for you. Please just deliver the mail. Isn't that your primary job? If getting out of car is too much, maybe a desk job inside post office is better fit. read more

This newer Moorpark Post Office replaces the older one, which was in the shopping center on LA Ave. The location at the west end of High street is isolated with a great facility and lots of easy parking. If you're enjoying your day a little too much, have countless hours to kill, or have a fetish for waiting in long lines, this is your place! Where this post office seriously fails is in the long waits for service. If you're in a hurry, forget it... Nearly every time I've come here, there's only been one employee helping at the desk, regardless of how many people are in line. They have other staff on site, but unfortunately they don't go to the service counter when needed. This is especially frustrating when you're behind the inevitable high maintenance postal customer who has to ship out 22 eBay items to foreign countries, which all require tracking and insurance. If this were improved, they'd be nearly perfect... My final advice for anyone doing business here: Go to Amazon, Office Depot or Smart & Final and pick up one of those cute little chrome desk bells. You know, the kind you find on the night desk at a motel. Bring it with you to this post office, place it on the counter and ring that sucker until more people come out to help you. Came here during my lunch break to mail some stuff. around 1pm. Long line of about 12 people. One person working behind the desk. No help was called, no sense of urgency, left and decided to come back. came back at 4:45pm, noticed the parking lot was strangely full. Walked inside and the i was immediately in the line once i opened the door. Another long line of about 15 people, again with one person behind the desk, moving at a very slow pace. There were more than 13 people waiting in line and it was glaringly obvious after 15 minutes of waiting in line the service individuals at the desk had no interest in moving quickly or attempting to decrease the line. Awful experience at the Moorpark US Post Office today but it looks like not many people have been having good experiences with them... Anyway last Saturday I sold my Xbox on eBay and I go to mail it out and bring a box with the labeled address and my return address the lady takes the box puts some things in the computer and charges me and I leave. Well turns out she entered my return address so I just spent $20 to ship the box back to my house 2 miles away and frustrated my buyer. Well accidents happen right so you figure the least they can do is refund me right? Well no the Post master named Paul decided it was my fault and they shouldn't refund me even though the lady's in the front were willing to refund me since they understood what happened. Unfortunately, I'm giving our US Post Office in Moorpark, Ca the lowest rating available. If there was a zero option, I would have given a zero. This morning I was informed by a young Lady with an extremely poor attitude that they did not have single postage stamps to purchase. The only option I had in stamps was a full book of stamps or a very large metered sticker. I spoke to the supervisor and he wasn't interested in offering any customer service either, though, suggested I drive 10 miles to Simi Valley and check that post office. Needless to say, that didn't sit well with me and took it one step further and contacted the Post Office consumer affairs number. Well, bottom line... this US Post Office and consumer affairs don't feel customer service is necessary. 2nd Saturday where we had problems because of the lazy mail carrier. First time they didn't deliver a package because they couldn't access our house??? That's bull because we've had tons of packages delivered, they just didn't want yo walk their lazy asses up the long driveway. The US Postal Service in Moorpark refuses to even attempt to deliver most packages to our home at Waterstone at Moorpark. This is allegedly because there used to be a lot of theft of packages -- 5 to 10 years ago. We have repeatedly asked to have our packages delivered to no avail. They simply refuse to do it then tell Amazon.com that they "attempted to deliver them": a blatant lie. Worst postal experience I've ever had. Tried shipping 2 packages out for the holidays and was rudely told by the guy at the counter they were not correctly sized. The boxes had shipping labels paid for weight that was over a lb more then actual box weighed and the disgruntled employee found that to be an issue. For one or two package pickups, it's ok to have a bad day at the post office. But to have the same service package after package, prompted us to open an account w/the nearby UPS Store (when they had a sale) for package/mail delivery. What's more, those living at the nearby Waterstone Apartments have to pick up all of their packages at the Moorpark Post Office as the mail carriers DO NOT deliver packages (via USPS) to apartment dwellers even when home, in Moorpark & the complex office does not accept packages on behalf of their tenants. Those that choose to open a PO Box from Waterstone would be better off opening a "Postnet" or a "UPSstore" account in Moorpark if they value their time and bypass any delivery to Waterstone and avoid the USPS/Moorpark. read more
