Amazing, they are so helpful. I'm a new online seller and I have the hardest time with getting my packages out always no fail they tell me what to fix so it doesn't cost me anymore money. One time they all hopped over the counter and helped me tape and attach labels. Yesterday, I had the wrong box for the label so the young lady put tape over the entire box so I could get it out. At times everyone cheered me as I made it out the door and everything was sent to my clients. I absolutely love this place they have the best employees and my heart is so full of gratitude and love. Had to mail another international package yesterday but this time I grabbed it to check the declared value in the software printed out form their clerk typed in (data taken from my written customs form) They do not understand how their own software works and they don't check the declared total values to make sure they match. I shipped TWO items at $14.99 each- total value $29.98. Their software printed out copy of the customs form listed the total value as $59.96- because they input into their software incorrectly and it multiplied my total value of all items by the total NUMBER of all items AGAIN! ($29.98 x2) Just like my May package that ended up costing $73 in VAT even tho it was a gift under the £50 limit (6 items / $40 declared value by me- these idiots put $240 total value on their printed form cuz 6x40 ) This time I caught them and confronted the manager. What a waste of my time "If you check the gift box they don't charge VAT" she says- not true! The manager there doesn't know their OWN policies and refused to take any responsibility when confronted with their mistake or own the fact that she doesn't train her staff properly Check your packages like a hawk before you pay! The writing on their printed out version of your form is teeny tiny but it's worth checking because they can't be trusted read more

I usually don't leave yelp reviews, but this one was a must! I had trouble finding this location with my GPS and arrived a minute after closing time on a Friday. This wonderful employee heard my knocking and appeared from the side door. He took my prepaid package and saved my life! (Well, maybe I'm being a little dramatic...) But, seriously, he was great! Was told my package would arrive 1-3 days. Currently on day 9 and not delivered. Do not trust what they tell you at the counter. They provide data from 2000 and can not deliver packages timely. Use another source other than USPS!!!!! read more

I went to this US Post Office location at 3401 Grande Vista Drive to mail a package out of the country. The gentleman who assisted me quoted me a price is $30, he also turned his screen around to show me the various pricing options. He also was kind enough to provide me with a blank sticky label to write the address on and to then apply to my package. I decided to go back the following day to complete as the line was getting long and it was best closing. I retuned the following day to a whole different experience! The employee this time who greeted me was named Micheal, ( clerk #52) and from the get go I could tell this employee was not helpful in the slightest. I first asked him if he could provide me with another blank sticky label to write on and he said they don't have them and that I would need to purchase a packet, thankfully a nice customer showed me some that were available for free on the centre island?? When I explained to the employee Michael that I was there the previous day and was quoted $30 he proceeded to quote me $70? I tried looking at his screen but he was purposely not allowing me to see it. I reiterated to him again that I wanted the cheapest rate possible and to match what I was quoted the previous day; after I profusely rejected the $70 quote he then quoted me $50, when I scoffed at that quote he finally quoted me the $30 I was previously quoted???? I asked him why he was trying to 'upsell' me and he didn't respond, I asked him again and he said, "just doing my job Sir". My confirm is that this particular employee may be taking advantage of other customers unbeknown to them, I'd give this employee a wide berth. read more

I had a custom item made for me that was supposed to be delivered to me 2 days after being dropped off at this office. It's been 7 days since the day it was supposed to arrive.. The ttracking updates still show "Still at original facility". There's no updates, no movement. I've called more than 3 times and they said they have no updates on the package & I'm going to have to wait until it is scanned next, whenever that may be. The sender put a lot of work into the custom piece and I also paid a lot of money for it. I've never had such a bad experience with USPS! read more

This is the new Newbury Park Post Office, replacing the now shuttered facility on Newbury Road. It's the post office closest to where I've worked for years in Newbury Park, so I frequently use this new location. The facility is brand new, beautifully designed and is rarely crowded. The staff are usually friendly and helpful and during the times when I've gone, I haven't experienced any major lines or wait times. I ding this new Post Office two full stars simply because of their unbelievably inconvenient location. Unlike the centrally located old post office, this one was placed as far as physically possible away from civilization, making it a huge PITA to find and get to. If it were any farther away from the Newbury Park community, which it is supposed to serve, it would be in Camarillo. Where local residents could previously walk to their local post office, now they must drive or take a bus to the very end of a dead-end spur off the Wendy exit and go all the way up the Conejo Grade hill. Definitely a step backwards and highly inconvenient... read more

All i can say is wow...i had a package dropped off here a and there was an mistake with the weight of the package, clearly user error, my mistake. The problem is that the package was MIA without tracking for an entire week. It was not scanned into the system and was apparently sent to santa clarita distribution center and back without getting a destination scan to update tracking. The package came back to my house with a note stating i owe $80 for shipping (100 total) on something i've never paid any morw than $40 to ship . There is damage to my box and there is tape missing. I go into the post office and ask to speak to the supervisor, Keith. Instead of taking accountability for the staff not scanning the package to make me aware of the issue before my customer waited a week for an item that was sent back to my house in a damaged box, his response was "its busy, its a pandemic, you made a mistake". When i asked for a refund because he was not willing to compensate me (overnight shipping would have sufficed) for the week of time that had been wasted for a package that was right down the street from my house,his response was "make a claim online". Keith, this is not how you handle customer service. read more

Yes, the location is out of the way and the parking lot is small. It's in the middle of nowhere. For those of you who complain about the USPS wasting your tax dollars, this is the result: they are moving post offices into cheaper rent locations. About the experience once inside: This location does not have any self-service. There is no bin to drop a package in, nor is there a machine to buy postage or stamps from. You must wait in line for any services. Once you get to the counter, your experience will vary greatly depending on who you get behind the counter and how prepared you are. Most of the employees here are exceptionally helpful, but some of them are typical USPS employees. They will also be noticeably less helpful if there is a long line behind you, so if you're going to require hand-holding and help for a complex transaction, come during off-hours. read more

I'm bummed that this is the closest USPS to my new house. It's truly horrible. The clerks don't seem to know much and they don't communicate well. They are painfully slow, and there is no automated postage machine so if you need one stamp, you have to wait in line. Parking is tough when it's busy. There are times that i check my tracking numbers and notice it takes over 24 hours for the package to leave this location. I sent myself a letter to test if i was getting mail at my po box. I dropped it off at this location and it took 3 days to get into the po box at this location. The only awesome thing is that they are open till 5:30 instead of 5pm. Sometimes when i have a lot to drop off, i drive around back. Everyone in the back are nice and attentive. It's that front lobby crew that needs a lot of help. read more

I mailed a certified letter from USPS in Newbury Park to Los Angeles on a Friday and was told it would be delivered by Monday. On Monday the online tracking showed that it was routed to San Francisco. Why? I called on Wednesday when it showed the package was still in San Francisco and when I contacted the post office was told that "it happens sometimes." On Thursday it showed it was "in transit to Los Angeles." Today, Friday it shows that it is "in route to next facility." When I contacted the post office they were not sure what "in route to next facility" means. Really? From Newbury Park to Los Angeles takes 7+ days to deliver? I'm not sure what any of it means either. Update: Saturday...The tracking showed that it was finally delivered to Los Angeles annex on Thursday and today, Saturday, it shows it has been received back in San Francisco. Why? This USPS is extremely good at delivering mail to the wrong address, delivering mail months late, and they did not resolve any of my complaints when I brought it to their attention. I have decided to have my mail delivered electronically as much as possible and recommend that you do the same. read more

Mail was lost for MONTHS, sometimes returned to sender, or delivered 2 months too late. Terrible, and unreliable. If you want your blood pressure to rise, don't go anywhere else, come to the Newbury Park USPS. read more

Would never have found this branch without Yelp. I'm from out of town and wouldn't have expected to find this post office off a frontage road on top of the Conejo grade! I'm glad I did. The staff was efficient and friendly. The place was clean and air conditioned which was a welcoming respite from the hot day I went. I am so happy with this post office. I have had nothing but good experiences since I started coming here three years ago. Today I am even happier, because I got my long-awaited package a day early (just in time for my upcoming road trip), thanks to the special efforts of Craig, one of the supervisors. Always a line at this Post Office, despite its out-of-the-way location. Recently mailed an important letter which needed tracking to Kentucky. After about a week, decided to track it and see if it had arrived yet - turns out it had been sent to the UK! When I looked more carefully at my receipt, I could see 'UK' listed - wished I had checked it at the time since I could have had them redo it. When I went in to tell them about this, they did give me a refund for the mailing cost, but the letter that went on a tour of the UK never did get returned to me so I had to start over and send it again - meaning a delay of about three weeks. I decided to send that one from a different post office. read more

Tried to send a package internationally. Was told to bring the box open for inspection. When I came to the office they told me it should be sealed. Asked for and address label, heard a laughter in response. They put a small amount of tape over the opening and told me next time should either bring my own tape or buy from them. Their English is very poor but behavior is extremely arrogant. The agent charged me twice as much as it was indicated on their website. When I asked for explanation they laughed out saying we are there to support them. When asked for the guarantee of delivery, the answer was - just pray. Somebody should look into what is going on at that office. I'll definitely write an official complaint. read more

I have had nothing but bad service at this location. They ripped off my send to address label and instead of scanning the barcode they sent my box back to me. When I talked to the company on the phone they told me to bring the box back and they will resend it. I told them that I would do that but now the box would not make it to the anniversary party on time. They said as this was the company's mistake they would send it out priority and it would get there on time no extra charge. They told me just talk to the manager. When I arrived at the store I asked for the manager. The manager was so rude. He would not help me all he would say was this is not my problem. I told him "it's not your fault because you didn't do it but it is your problem as you are the manager. " he said if you want your box to ship pay the price and walked away. I called the post office and they agreed that it was their fault (saying we made a mistake) but in the end they would not do anything to help me. I ended up paying double for my package.
