I wish I could give negative stars. Let's begin with my high risk, twin pregnancy nearly 6 years…read moreago. I was seen often and each time complained about itching my skin off and was told "oh it's nothing" - every single time. Finally I brought this up to my high risk doctor, was tested for Cholestatis, and guess what - CONFIRMED! By the way, Cholestatis can result in still borns and resulted in an emergency c-section! But they didn't take me seriously, despite sitting in multiple physicians offices in tears beginning for relief and answers. Following delivery at my 6 week post off, I was still itching and begging for some type of relief - they PERSCRIBED hydrocortisone. When the pharmacist called me to tell me (politely of course) that my physician was "clueless" and prescribed me an over the counter medication that I could come pick up on Aisle 11, I was MORTIFIED. Fast forward to today - I had an annual mammograph, followed immediately by an ultrasound due to dense breast tissue. When they received my results, they called me immediately to have another ultrasound. Why do you ask? Great question - I inquired over and over again and they just kept saying "The doctor is requiring you to have another Ultrasound" - so I go, complete the ultrasound AGAIN, and they call me 2 weeks later to ask me WHY I would go get the procedure done again! The nurse, Tracy, couldn't seem to understand why SHE couldn't answer my questions when I inquired about why I would need another ultrasound 2 weeks following the original. By the way, the result I was left with after the initial ultrasound was "probably not cancer" - so you can understand why someone would be desperate for answers. My insurance was more than willing to pay for an MRI for quick results and answers, but Tracy and the nursing staff didn't want to put in the work to get the prior-authorization, despite my insurances willingness to provide with the appropriate documentation. STAY FAR WAY from this organization. They are an absolute nightmare. You should never have to advocate this much for your own health. Also, you cannot leave a google review for this clinic and Tracy essentially laughed me off when I told her I'd be heading to the internet to share my experiences. It's still possible to share the feedback and honestly, every should know and be prepared if they are a patient of this clinic. I will NOT be returning.

Let me first off say this program works, but it is hard and it takes A LOT of willpower. I have tried this center as well as a center on MacDill that has the same concept. I will say this location on Kennedy is a little cheaper. The staff is great and you actually get face time with the doctor, not just the nurses. Not sure what Medi Weight Loss is? Here's the program in a nutshell: 1. You get weekly vitamin B6 and B12 shots. You also get a week's supply of appetite suppressants. These appetite supplements are much stronger than any pill I have purchased at any of the vitamin shops or pharmacy. You can also order vitamins, fat burners, calcium, omega 3, and fiber supplements. 2. Each week you return for more appetite suppressant pills, shots, and the WEEKLY WEIGH IN (This is the moment you have to hang your head in shame and admit that you drank a glass of wine or ate a slice of pizza when the scale does not go in your favor.) In addition to the weekly weigh in you are also entitled to a complimentary midweek booster shot. I usually get the booster shots on Tuesdays before my Thursday weigh ins. 3. You eat a specific amount of protein; later incorporating fruits and veggies. 4. You exercise. They won't hold your hand... you have to take care of this part by yourself. 5. Repeat until goal weight is met. Weight loss results vary depending on how much you exercise, how closely you stick to the program and water consumption. I usually lose between 5-8 lbs. my first week and 1-2 lbs. each week after. Obviously life does get in the way sometimes and I will have a 0 or a gain week, but the program makes it easy to get back on track. Why doesn't everyone go? As I mentioned earlier: you have to have willpower. The pills help, but it's up to you to do the rest. It's also very EXPENSIVE.
