As I was entering the Liberty Bell visitors center and switching from my sunglasses to glasses, I noticed how loose one of the arms was. I tried using my fingernails to twist in the tiny loose screw that had almost completely come undone. But no luck. Thank goodness I found International Vision Center on Yelp as it was on the way to our next stop. They were extremely helpful and nice! They helped me tune up my glasses and even with my nose pad fitting! Highly recommend! Top notch! read more

This is a no-frills one stop eye shop - but I don't go here for the decor. I go here for the people and the service. Everyone who works there is incredibly pleasant and professional - they joke around with each other and you get this vibe like they're one big family. At the same time they're very attentive to what you need and I've been able to order contacts through them and it gets there within 2 days. I've been going to these guys/gals for the last 4 years. So happy I found em. And they're close to Jefferson and take insurance - so convenient for employees/patients in the area. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place is absolutely horrible!!! I wish I could give it no stars. I came here for my one-year-old's glasses. I was excited to find a place that excepted my insurance, as well as offer the a specialized frame that we needed. Lori and the front desk crew was very helpful in measuring my daughter and in helping me select the right frames. However, when the frames arrived they were the wrong ones. So, I waited another week for them to come in. In an attempt to help, they took the old lenses out of the old frames and cut them to fit the new ones. However, they cut the lens too small, making me have to come back a third time for another pair of lenses. A few months goes by and I take my daughter for her follow up appointment only to find out that the center focal point of her glasses was off center by 2 mm. To say that I was upset was a complete understatement! Since I lost confidence in their work, i decided to take my business elsewhere and pay 140 dollars out of pocket, To unsure the lenses were properly done. When I contacted international vision center to let them know of their error they had me send them the old lenses so that they can research their error. When I called to follow up with them to See what they found in their research and to also discuss some sort of reimbursement for the wrong lenses, I was told that it's very hard to measure a baby and that the measurement was not that far off. I was told that I overpaid for my new lenses and that he would not reimburse me what I paid but what they charge. If that's not bad enough, the manager Kevin (who I also believe is the owner) wouldn't even let me explain why I was so upset, so instead of listening he hung up on me. When I called back to try to resolve this issue he would not get on the phone. We're not dealing with the eyesight of an adult here we are dealing with the eye sight of a one year old! read more

Having only ever been to your typical America's Bset and Len's Crafters, etc. This practice was a breathe of fresh air. Although it isn;t much to look at from the outside, the service you recieve is unmatched. I called at 10AM on a Thursday and was able to be fit in same day at 4pm. PERFECT. The Doctor took time to talk me through the enitire exam and gave me wonderful reccommendatons. The only issue that I found was that the frames are behind the counter so you have to ask for each pair that you would like to try on. However, the staff is very attentive and go back as many times as necesary and even make suggestions. BEST part, I was able to pick up my new glasses the NEXT DAY!!! Highly recommend!! read more

This place looks a little shabby from the outside. It's not your fancy schmancy LensCrafters or anything, but these people are PROFESSIONAL. I had my eyes checked with Dr. Roberts, and he seemed very meticulous and transparent about the whole process. (The reason why your vision is blurring is because of allergies, how he didn't want to give me a stronger prescription because that will make my close vision worse, etc.) They don't have a huge selection of glasses but I found a couple pairs that worked for me. They will work with you on prices for big purchases (a huge pack of contacts, for example). Definitely got that old school Philly feel - as an organization they've been around since 1938! I'm really not sure how I feel about this place just yet. I think the staff is really nice but doctor has not been very accurate at measuring my eyes. I've never had this issue with prior eye doctors and it seems a bit inconvenient if I keep having to return to remeasure and pick up the correct contacts. This is my go-to place for eye care as a person slowly inching towards legal blindness (just kidding only halfway there). Easy to make an appointment or walk in, the people working there are pleasant and friendly. The eye doctor is sweet, does a good exam, and tells me about his grownup kids. Often when I run out of contact lenses they'll give me a sample or two to last me until my order comes in. Recently went in to get the lens replaced for an old pair of glasses and after I noticed something wonky with the left eye, they replaced the whole set of lenses again immediately, no charge, no questions asked. Small selection of frames but pretty stylish with a small stock of retro 80s/90s stuff (like my fave pair of sunglasses which I lost in Cancun--bummer). Cute little place. read more

This place was listed under my insurance so i went here for an eye exam. I recently had a bad experience at Designer Eyes, so i began to check reviews before going to my next eye doctor. I read wonderful things about TIFFANY so i requested her. She wasn't there the day i walked in so i had to come back the next day. Tiffany definitely met my expectations. She was patient and worked with me until the perscription was just right. She gave me a lot of info and seemed knowledgable and genuinely caring about her job. The front counter woman was very friendly honest and helpful while helping me fill out paperwork/booking appointment. Only thing i will say on the slightly negative side is that it does look really old and musty and the frame selections are pretty bad, prices were high. BUT I got new lenses put in my old frames and they came out good. read more

Strongly recommend Dr. Tiffany as she gave a very details and accurate exam. She takes her time and answers all of your concerns! They have the digital exam machine which I was amazed by it. I am very pleased that I found this place which was recommended to me by a coworker several years ago as they take our insurance plan. The service is first rate which is rare these days. Everyone is professional and knows their stuff. They have enough people working there so that the wait is never frustrating. I have been to fancy/expensive places and will only go to Tru Site now. Tru-site is the place for contacts, eye exams, and glasses. I once bought some cool special frames online from JCrew and just brought them there to put the lenses in it was super easy. They don't have frames on display that you can grab and try on yourself. But they know their inventory and they will select styles you want to try and bring them to you. read more

i picked this place off of my insurance list because they were close by. but they offered quick service and everyone was very nice while i was there. there was a problem with the glasses i got (not their fault) but they worked with me happily to get it fixed. not a HUGE selection of frames, and they're all behind the counter so you have to ask for what you want to try on. that's a little inconvenient. i felt like the doctor examining me was a real doctor and not just some guy saying "better? or worse?" and the counter staff were very helpful. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the customer communications. I've been wearing glasses for most of my life, when I have decided to get my eyes checked and new glasses this was my place of choice. Not anymore! A couple of weeks ago I went to get an eye exam and to pick out a new frame. This process in itself is very hard and time consuming because at the end of the day you want something fashionable and reasonably price. To my surprise I was able to find a frame that I absolutely fell in love with! After being fitted I was asked to leave a 50 dollar deposit which I did not have to get the glasses started. I offered 20 but the salemans insisted that 50 dollars is all he could take to get it started. He mentioned that he would place them on hold and that I could call over the phone with the deposit. On pay day I did just that, I placed a call to IVC I told the person who answered the phone my name and reason for calling. I told her that I wanted to do an over the phone transaction as I was told by my salesperson and she advised me to come in to do it. I work over an hour away from CC and I left work early because I wanted to get this done so that I could get these glasses as soon as possible. Upon my arrival the receptionist took my name and proceeded to look for my glasses. They were no where to be found. Everyone looked puzzled, she checked the back room or where ever they store orders and still nothing. Finally she came to the front with a slip and no glasses and stated someone took the frames. I asked why didn't anyone call me to see if I was still interested in the frame? What is your procedure? My salesperson looked at me and said that is what should have happened. I reminded him of my loyalty to that establishment and how truly disaapointed I would be if I couldn't get those frames. They then proceeded to take a 50% deposit from me and told me they should be available at their warehouse. At this point a couple of days have gone by and I haven't heard anything so I called and was placed on hold. Finally someone gets back on the phone and said they have not heard back from the warehouse so they are assuming this frame may not be available. Now I am beyond pissed! Why did I have to wait 2 days? Is this what a customer should expect when doing business with IVC? I told her that my expectation was that they do everything possible to get me the frames I picked out. If that is not possible I want a full refund on all services! eye exam and all. I will be reporting them to my insurance company so that they can discourage the use of this Facility and their poor customer service. I will do everything in my power, I will blast them on social media and any outlet that will listen. As a consumer we are entitled to being treated fair and at the highest level. At no time did this business show any empathy! Go all out for your customers, they deserve it!! read more

Highly recommend! By far the best selection of frames at an optometrist in Philadelphia that takes my insurance. I worked with Jack and he was so great. He took my face shape and personal style into account when selecting frames for me to try and within 5 minutes we found a winner! The ordering process was quick and easy, as was the turnover time. After seeing the very generous and seemingly convenient hours, I was eager to make an appointment for my eye exam and glasses. NOT! No appointments after 4:00 PM, which means time off from work. Well, I took the appt. The "doctor" never told me his name until I asked. The exam was very brief, and I felt at the time the new lenses may work. I chose attractive frames. They processed the order well through my insurance company. Well, it took over 2 weeks for the glasses to arrive! My eyes never adjusted to the new prescription. Now, I've worn progressive lenses over 20 years and know how long it takes to adjust. After 10 days, I was getting headaches and dizziness. I visited the store and was given a frame adjustment and asked, "Have you ever worn progressives? Do you know how to adjust?" They wanted to do another exam - NOT! I've never had to get a second exam! I arranged to go to the office today for a refund and to return the glasses. When I arrived, I was greeted coldly and was told that "Steve" had "gone for the day" and had not processed the paperwork, but if I leave the glasses, they'd mail me a check. Uh..... don't think so. I filed a grievance with my vision plan, who reversed the benefits immediately. I am going back for a proper refund - and to return the glasses. I'll find a better provider. read more
