The employee responded installed they are $21. I had no idea how much one cost. The employee took my fob opened and put a battery in in about 2 min time frame. Then he proceeded to help the older gentleman that was at the counter installing his own batteries, while I am standing there. The older gentleman leaves and the employee rings me up. The employee states "I can save you $10 if you buy a flashlight. Huh? Well we have a special and if you buy the flashlight I can $10 off." I felt I didn't have a choice, so I did. In July 2022 I took my car in for an early minor tune up as we were moving and finding a honest, reliable mechanic isn't an easy task, especially for a woman. The only issue found was the car needed a new battery. The shop installed Interstate Batteries model# MR-S1R. We moved in Aug 2022. In Dec 2022 my car started having issues of intermittent starting with no interior lights. Upon checking battery connections, the car would start. After several instances, I contacted Interstate Batteries to locate a mechanic to replace the battery. I contacted a local mechanic, told them of my issues and informed them all I wanted was for them to change my battery as it was under warrantee. They went through their list of possible issues and I explained why none of them were the issue. I informed them of the minor tune up in Jul 2022 and how the only work done was changing the battery. The shop told me to bring my car and they would test the battery and change it per the warranty. After sitting at the shop for 2 hour, they informed me they don't know what's wrong with my car. They said they would change the battery and test my car to ensure if was running properly. If there were still issues, then they would need to diagnostic testing on my car. The shop had my car for 48 hours and I thought something was majorly wrong. Turns out they ran the diagnostics on my car before installing a new battery. When they finally changed the battery and all the issues stopped. When I picked up my car I was informed the battery was known to have issues. I was livid because they told me on the phone it wasn't the battery and needed to do diagnostic testing. The shop charged me almost the same amount of money I spent back in July 2022 when the battery was installed. The shop told me they were required by Interstate Batteries to prove the battery was defective. Even though it ended up being the battery, which was replaced under warranty, I ended up paying the mechanic for a known defective product. Upon contacting Interstate Batteries to complain about the warranty process knowing their product was defective. They said they would investigate and reimburse if they thought their product was proven to be defective. Though they did reimburse paying for another battery, it didn't cover the forced cost of their required diagnostic testing. Some scam they have going on to rid hard-working people out of their money. Then I found out the shop could have installed any battery brand. Stay away from Interstate Batteries as they knowingly sell defective products.

"Sure" "click" I always am greeted by a pretty friendly voice. They are fast convenient and honest. They sent me the wrong thing by accident and then made sure they sent the right thing to me by checking with me and mailed out the correct part the next day along with an apology. These small values are what will keep them open forever and keep me a customer for life.
