The tech that arrived had no idea of how to service the Noritz. He reviewed my Manuel but left it leaking. Worse, is that he soaked my faucet head in vinegar and dribbled it all over the marble entry way. It has ruined the marble and it is not repairable. After removing the shower head and faucet, the plumber could not install a comparable style unit, so took off for a few days. When he returned, I bought a temporary unit so I could shower. Then threw this outfit off my property. Noritz denies that D'Amico is an authorized vendor and installer. They recommended an alternate which corrected all of my problems. I was left with having paid nearly $400 to D'Amico, out the cost of the temp hardware, and they were not willing to repair or replace my damaged entryway. Final insult is a snotty attitude. You can definitely find a better place to get plumbing services and products.

I asked him to tell me the size so I could run to Lowes to get one for him to install. He gave ne the size and I drove and purchased the size he indicated. When I returned, he told me he 'found one' in the corner of he basement and installed it. He then left. I took the new filters down to place them near the furnace for the next change, and found that he had put an oversized filter in the slot, leaving 5 inches protruding from the filter slot. This is shoddy work. He was too lazy to measure the correct filter size, and took a shortcut so he could leave. I measured the filter slot for the correct size, and did the trip back to Lowes for the proper filter. I wouldn't recommend them.

As an example, Halco ( heating company) came out on an emergency on a Sunday last year, couldn't fix it and charged me $150! Why didn't I call them, you ask, I was out of town and my partner took care of this. Halco was out on other emergencies, so they couldn't come out. I just can't see how this company can justify that amount of money? BTW, Dan, my now main heating guy, came out on Monday and was able to do a temporary FIX for a $125!!! My Generac 17 kw standby generator failed after a lightning storm. It would start and then shutoff…read morewithin a few seconds. I contacted Finger Lakes Power Systems to repair the unit. Their Service Manager, Tara Barnhart, advised that a tech would be sent out shortly. The tech spent 3 hours of troubleshooting over 3 visits. Tara contacted me by phone and advised that the tech was unable to identify the cause of the failure, and more troubleshooting was required. She advised that the cost to date was $1000 and would I like to continue. She advised that the problem could be fuel related, stepper motor/mixer, the controller or something else. She advised getting a new generator and would like to schedule an appointment. I told her that I thought that the technician's analysis was poor, to stop troubleshooting and to invoice me. I received an invoice for $995.00 with the Note: "Replaced fuel solenoid and brushes, generator still not running properly. Technician recommends replacing fuel regulator and stepper motor/mixer assembly and possibly controller or replacing entire unit." Before the tech's analysis and part swapping, the unit would start, run a few seconds, shutoff. After the tech's analysyis and part swapping, the unit would start, run a few seconds, shutoff. The tech changed nothing and gave me a useless diagnosis for $1k. I had another tech examine the unit. He discovered within 15 minutes of visual inspection that the controller was fried, possible due to the lightning storm. He also discovered that a fuse in the transfer switch was blown. These two items were not discovered by FLPS. Avoid this company!
