This is probably my favorite studio in the metroplex... I am SO thankful they are on classpass!…read more I usually come to TruFusion when I need a serious detox (ie, the day after I ate pizza, lol). I take the hot classes... the hot boot camp is not for the faint of heart but my goodness I feel incredible after I sweat in that class! My favorite class, though, is hot barre. I prefer to do more strength exercises in the heat than cardio, and hot barre does it for me. You get such an incredible sweat and feel like a million bucks afterward. First class is free so definitely, definitely give them a shot. Can't wait to go back!!

Your first free class will cost you money whether it ends up with you contracting a STAPH INFECTION AND OR TOENAIL FUNGUS AND dealing with the worst managing partner EVER Danae Skiba. She use to be at the Trufusion Houston location and brought her garbage toxicity with her. Go to that Yelp page and check out those reviews. You'll be fighting to get your autopay back when she won't refund your money. They wouldn't return my phone calls and then when Danae left a VM, she told me to never return to the studio that I made her staff uncomfortable. LAUGHABLE. And please don't put yourself in a situation where major HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS are lingering waiting to disrupt your health in the way a STAPH INFECTION does. All the phenomenal instructors left the studio because they are being treated with the utmost disrespect. WORD OF MOUTH TRAVELS QUICKLY especially when you mess with someone as myself who tried every means of handling this appropriately. BYE TRUFUSION DALLAS!

I have been taking Pilates classes for close to a year off and on. I frequent a place in Lakewood…read morewhere I feel like I'm mostly on my game there. Now in walks Bodybar Pilates and I feel like Mr. Pilates is on drugs. This ish is more challenging than what I'm used to. Oof! I sighed up for the free introductory class and attended one night after work. The process to check in was easy and the young girls working gave me the lowdown on the place and sent me off to workout. I did the classic Pilates class with Diane. She knew I was a newbie so she showed me how to adjust the reformer and tips for the class and she checked on me often to see if I was hanging in. The workout was pretty fast paced and I hung for most of it and took small breaks when needed. I haven't had a good workout like that in a long time. Flash forward to a month later and I am a member. Surprisingly this uptown location is cheaper than my place in Lakewood. You can book all your classes on the app. I haven't tried anything other than the classic, but will definitely branch out. There is free parking in the parking garage to the left of Pilates. Pay attention or you'll miss it. It's confusing too because there is an apartment attached to the garage so you may get stuck on a floor where you'll end up walking up a ramp. That would only happen to me I'm sure though. Otherwise find street parking! When you walk in you will check in to class on the iPad. Then set your belongings in the cubbies. Bring your grip socks and be prepared to crush it (at your own speed) for 50 minutes.

The studio is beautiful with cubbies in the back for your belongings. They even have phone chargers by the cubbies for your use. So convenient! Lots of great merchandise at the front of the studio, but quite expensive. I've taken both of my classes with Bailey and she is fantastic! You can tell that she has a passion for teaching; her high energy kept me motivated throughout class. She really focused on technique and corrected people when needed. I'll be honest , unfortunately this was the most disappointing workout class I've ever attended…read more I've been trying to find a workout class/ something I could really commit to for my health and wellness so I tried their free class and I am glad it was free. All of it was just uncomfortable for me. The room for me is too small. I'm 5 feet 11 and some of the workouts I cannot even do because no matter what angle I turned, I would be hitting somebody else. I did not feel that the instructor was beginner, friendly or engaging enough at all. I also had a hard time hearing the instructor on top of her telling us to do moves but not showing all of them..There's a lot of beginners in this class and majority of the room looked absolutely lost and confused and I just don't feel like she was interacting with people well enough or showing the workouts to where we can clearly understand and see. Half of the time I was really lost. Overall disappointed. When I left my first Pilates class I felt so comfortable, I felt seen and I absolutely enjoyed my experience. Everyone has different preferences, but this was just not it. I also felt like staff wasn't engaging enough for me either. Low energy. Overall not a good experience.

After grabbing some weights and equipment for the class, I got started. I liked the blend of yoga, bar and aerobic exercises, and more tension-based exercises with the core. Keeps things more interesting with the variety of movements. I had a substitute instructor who was overall great and very encouraging. She really pushed us because she would often count down for some exercises which would make me think we would be done after that, but then she would lead us right into another exercise using the same muscles so you wouldn't get a break! Overall a great opportunity to be challenged with a full body workout! I would definitely go back if price wasn't a barrier for me personally. Membership prices range from $90/month for 4 classes a month to $160/month (unlimited classes.

I've made so many new friendships and let's be honest.. it's hard to make new friends as an adult. It's my place of choice to go to relieve stress, to focus on getting stronger and to just breathe. I would say the biggest impact it's had on my life is I was able to work out during and after my two pregnancies. I simply modified each move to make it possible for my body. I'm still learning to listen to my body but I've made so much progress thanks to the Barre code Plano! -Debbie Wei
