I went to redeem a free work out as a plus one with my step mom, she had been raving about this place for a while so it was nice to be able to to join finally! Sometimes t can be a bit overwhelming when it comes to trying a new gym or workout place, but as soon as we walked in the front desk personnel greeted me, assured that the class would be free, and then gave a in depth tour of the facility! I'm not sure if that's required, but it was so nice! She then set me up with all the proper equipment, and made sure we were in the correct sauna! The workout was amazing, I don't think i've sweat that much in a while!!! After the work out she proceeded to give me an exclusive offer and even told me that if I just come back they would work with me! Unfortunately, the area is a bit far from me given it's my step moms home location, and I am more located in central Dallas, or I would commit in a heartbeat! July we were told that new management was coming that following Monday. I show up Monday no one there lights off doors locked. No explanation try reaching out to D1 no response for about 2-3 weeks. Finally we get a call stating that their new management and they will be starting class back up and that we would have the weeks missed added to the end of the contract. Well everything was fine until December 12 when I get a text message telling me classes were canceled. I called and spoke with Corey and he stated that the facility was going to be closing for renovations. I already knew something was up. The space is small what more can they do to it. Well, he told me that we will be getting an email from corporate about what going on and that we will be getting refunds. I did receive an email from corporate that Sunday night telling me another lie about what they're doing and how they plan to reopen in 6 weeks but that we were going to be getting a refund by the end of the week. That was December 15 and today is Jan 16 and I still have yet to receive anything from D1. I have sent emails with no response. I called the Frisco location which is were Corey from Firewheel D1 went to. He told me that refunds had been refunded, but after talking to some the other clients that also attended D1 Firewheel they have not yet received their refund either. I've reached out to corporate no response the number for corporate on the website for immediate assistance goes straight to voicemail. I really thought highly of D1 the trainers were all great. But, the owners they don't care about us. They only care about lining their pockets.

Been going to this studio for a solid month now, and I've gotta say, I kinda love it! It's got a…read morerelaxed zen-like atmosphere, intimate class size, nice group of people from different ages / fitness levels -- and there's something for everyone. I first started out with the restorative yoga, which as Melissa C mentions is much slower paced (and I guess that's the point; so as to restore you). It was helpful in the sense that it got me out of my head for an hour, and I left feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Then I decided maybe the power yoga would give me more of a cardio workout, and it did! I was famished half way through, I think it's more for intermediate level. Right now I'm really enjoying the Beginner 1 classes. It goes through a good foundation of poses, and Jessica does well to balance more challenging variations with easier modifications, so you get to listen to your body and follow according to your individual needs. The forehead massage at the end with essential oils is a nice touch, haven't seen this at any other place. Overall if you're looking for a studio in Rockwall, I suggest going through some of the different classes offered here with various teachers, to find one that feels right for you. Right now, I'm so glad I found this place!

The only thing I wish is there was decor on the walls or windows in the studio so I could focus on something during practice. Other than that, I like the intimate size, changing rooms, clean bathrooms, ample waiting area, etc. I've only attended Beginner classes taught by Jessica, one of the owners. She's even keeled and knowledgable - the real deal. I like how her classes are never the same from day to day: Different parts of my body get worked on from class to class. (I've been to classes before where the teacher seemed to favor certain postures.) She's great at giving modifications if my body isn't willing to go "there" and tips for making a posture or stretch more challenging. I've come away sore from her class once (heavy on the abs). I usually leave feeling stretched out and relaxed. I suppose I'd like for mid-class to lead up to some sort of flow, more Sun Salutations perhaps - just for a few minutes - to get my heart going a bit more. Maybe there's another class I need to try for that. My favorite thing is the Savasana at the end. The studio I was a part of before practiced this for a good amount of time at the end of every practice, and I haven't been to one since that consistently did it for a good amount of time. Jessica does here and even gives a quick, relaxing forehead massage using essential oils. Yay for the human touch! I do miss the yoga-nidra practice from my last place, but I can do that myself now. Overall, I'm just happy to have found a real studio - not a random class at the Y, not that crazy hot yoga doesn't embody all that yoga is suppose to be, but true mind/body/spirit place.

The gym is owned and operated by Chris, who used to be a professional boxer. The location is in a warehouse district in Rowlett, however if you are familiar with Crossfit than you will feel right at home. This workout is a mix of Crossfit (without the heavy weightlifting) and boxing. If you are new he has gear you can borrow until you decide if you like it. I found this place because my aunt used to box at Title and Chris was one of the coaches. The class times are Mon, Wed, Fri at 530p - 800ish and Sat, Sun at 10a. There isn't an actual class, the workout is on the board and when you show up you just start. He also does one on one training if you want that, I am not sure what that costs. I like this a lot better instead of having to wait for the next workout. He will usually stay at the gym until people stop showing up. This is one of the most fun workouts that I have done in a long time. I have never done anything boxing related and really enjoy getting to learn a new sport. Chris is the only coach but constantly walks around and gives direction. Because of the staggered workouts with people showing up there are always enough bags and you aren't waiting. I have been coming to this gym for almost 3 weeks now and there isn't a workout where I am not drenched in sweat and sore after. He will push and yell at you to keep going. Give it a try if you are wanting to try something new or a new place to box!! You can't beat this price!!!!!
