0 Stars, I wish I didn't have to choose one star in order to post. I will be sharing this review EVERYWHERE I can. Absolutely horrible experience, the front desk man last name tate didn't catch the first name blatantly violated ADA accessibility laws, What makes the entire situation worse is that I was not even staying in the hotel! I have a service dog, the father of my daughter was staying at this location for work, I arrived to drop off my daughter for a visit as well as some groceries and cake as it was his birthday. Literally as soon as we arrived to drop off, this man came up to the room not only pounding on the door but literally screaming at me to get my dog out. I explained that this is my legally allowed service dog and that I would not be staying as I was simply dropping things off, he then pushed his way into the room still screaming in front of my young daughter and scaring my service dog to under the bed shaking. He proceeded to say that her father would now be put on the do not rent list and would need to leave the next day but my service dog needed to leave immediately, instead of staying my daughters father said we would just all leave now so we began to gather belongings and the groceries I had just arrived with. The desk man "Tate" attempted to insist I leave WITHOUT my belongings and remove my service dog. He then threatened to call police to which I responded "please do because you are violating the ADA" and I continued to gather belongings. He obviously did not call the police. Shocker. At this point several other hotel guests were lingering in the hallway because of the scene. He stood holding the door open and repeated "get the dog out get the dog out over and over until we had packed the entire room up. This man is clearly not only unstable and on some kind of bizarre power trip but also just flat out awful and unpleasant not to mention blatantly disregarding the FEDERAL LAWS and ADA protecting service animals and their handlers rights. This chain needs to fire this man immediately and do better. If you are disabled or handicapped in any way stay FAR away from this place! The Downers Grove location is MUCH better. Cleaner, better staff and doesn't violate the ADA. read more

I stayed there for a year and 8 months , I loved the staff there Danny, Sophia and Ms. Security they all accompanied me, very helpful and respectful. There were stressful times for Danny but he maintained professionalism. Honestly it was a great place to stay it was quiet and they don't put up with any nonsense. Sofia and the maintenance guy were very nice. The manager, Mr. Tate (I believe), is very rude and confrontationals. I can not believe someone like that works in this industry. He came and knocked on my door like he was responding to an emergency to come in and do a check of the smoke alarm, because "some people just like to mess with the smoke detectors." The manager would glare at me a lot and was very rude during just about every conversation. There was one time during my stay where he was nice and I was absolutely shocked. I moved down the street to a more expensive hotel because I felt harassed and unwanted by the manager. He did call me because I locked myself out 4 times while staying there. Two out of the four times were due to the cards and batteries in the door not working. He called me a nuisance when I told him that I was locked out of my room, because the batteries in the door were dead. I told him two days before this instance that I was having trouble with the door. He told me that he would send someone to fix the door two days before the batteries finally died. While I was there, about a month, there were 3 sewage backups in the tub, and they cleaned it one time for me. The maid, which is supposed to come on Wednesdays, came one time. They don't clean the rooms even though it was part of the deal. The manager threatened to fine several times and harrassed me throughout the stay. I keep to myself and don't cause problems. The laundry room also has a major mold problem due to a water leak by the washing machines. I wouldn't suggest this hotel to anyone, mostly due to the mean manager. After reading my Google review, the manager charged me $30 for stealing linens. I didn't take their terrible towels. It is just further proof that one shouldn't visit this hotel. read more

I wish I could give no stars. I booked my rsvp 5/24/23. I was flying from Hawaii on 6/30. When I got to the place, they cancelled my reservation on day of morning of check in (3pm) due to overbooking. No emails and the on site manager said he tried to call the morning of check in but couldn't leave a voicemail. I told him do you realize I'm flying in from Hawaii so that means I'm still in flight. Also, he said the company always overbooked. I had to scramble find a place. The manager said the Downers Grove location had rooms available but couldn't guarantee the price I booked for. Horrible business practice! Stay away from this business. I did find a better place across the street, Comfort Suites. Better rooms and customer service. It's worth the extra money for peace and comfort. PS: My parents stayed at this InTown suites years ago so I know what the rooms are like. read more

The rooms are fine. Clean. The bed is cheap and uncomfortable. The entire place smells like butt the second you walk in. As I was checking in, I asked about the smell and she denied smelling anything. I asked several other people who are here and they said it has smelled like that since they got here weeks ago.The housekeeper is nice. The lady who checked me in, Z, is nice. Some guy named Tate at the front desk is beyond rude. Very unnecessarily. He parks in the NO PARKING zone which just screams that his boss is okay with his rude behavior. The way he answers questions made me so mad so many times! Like, dude, what's your problem!? I asked him where I dump my garbage and you would have thought I told him to come clean my room. He told me I could NO use the empty garbage cans in the utility room next to me and to go outside and use the dumpster. Ugh, I can't stand people like that. I'm assuming everyone staying here is going through something. So why would you add to their stress and be rude for literally no reason. I hope he does it to the right person. It's so bad that I'm going back to my $700 a week hotel. At least people there are nice. At least they actually clean. THERE ARE ROACHES AND MICE HERE! They are exterminating in a few days. The toilet runs nonstop and I don't want to bring it up because I don't want to interact with Tate. Most of the residents here are black, like me, but they're the different kind. Do what you want with that information. I could go on and on, but I will leave it at that for now. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO! THERE ARE BETTER HOTELS, MOTELS, ECT. Found this place on my way to lunch. Was staying at Extended Stay America and was hoping to find something more affordable. This place was God sent. More affordable, but not as upgraded as other place. However, still clean and comfortable. I Booked king room, which includes: stove, fridge, microwave, kitchen table, lounge chair, desk, pretty decent king bed. After purchasing pillows, down comforter, towels, tea pot etc., I am now starting to feel at home. There are laundry facilities as well. There weekly rates are extremely affordable. The property managers are really nice. The location is great because it is close to the city and near suburbs are Lombard, Oakbrook etc.. This is a great place if you are transitioning to an apartment. I highly recommend. read more

I wanted to post a more current review, and echo everything that Zakia H. has expressed in her review, all true and accurate, so I'll try not to repeat much of it. I've been staying here about 5 months, and Intown Suites Villa Park is a very cost effective (compared to the alternative extended stay businesses in the area) and nice place to stay if you need someplace to stay for a few weeks or more. Currently the rooms are being updated to look more modern and colorful, and it's a good improvement over the previous decor which was a bit outdated. The update includes new beds, bedding, modern light fixtures with USB charging ports, nice table with two chairs, new flooring and carpet, new paint, and new kitchen countertops. The hallways also are getting new carpet and paint. Compared to a more traditional hotel, amenities like daily room cleanings, fresh towels, and bathroom products are not provided. You're provided with basic initial supplies upon check in, but are responsible for replenishing those things going forward. There is also no fitness facilities. Your room is cleaned once a week, and in my experience it's done well. All of these shortcomings are reflected in the cost. Don't think of this place as an traditional hotel, it's more of a weekly studio apartment rental without the lease. There is ample parking. The front desk staff is available 11am - 7pm, and to supplement this there is a staffer they refer to as a courtesy officer that is available 24/7 to assist with lockouts are other issues. All the staff I've dealt with thus far have been nice and helpful. Rooms have a decent sized refrigerator, two burner electric stove, microwave, and a 42 inch wall mounted TV with the Dish Network, closet, and drawer space. The only negative I would mention is the very slow wireless internet. It has been reliable, but the speeds are at most 2-3 Mbps. I wish there was a paid upgrade to get a bit more bandwidth. In summary, it's a nice, quiet, no frills place to stay for while if you need it. read more

InTown Suites Extended Stay - New beds and light fixtures - Hotels Near Me - Villa Park, Illinois

My daughter and I stayed here for close to a year while we were apartment searching. We had been staying at Extended Stay America but they remodeled and upped their prices from expensive to sky high. Intown Suites remodeled a little and upgraded some things in the room (internet access ports, plasma screen tvs, etc). The rooms are very clean and spacious. I had a queen sized bed, a kitchenette (microwave, two burner stove, sink, and a large refrigerator/freezer). We also had a nice sized desk, a closet, a chair with an ottoman, two nightstands, three dresser drawers and a nice sized bathroom. You have to bring your own towels (they give you a set of towels upon check in but after that you are on your own). Also, you have to get your own dishes and eating utensils, and dishwashing supplies. Same for bathroom supplies (toilet paper, etc)-you have to bring your own. But there is a Dollar Tree store only a 10 minute drive from the hotel, so you can get everything you need right there. The hotel is literally next door to a Walgreen's and across the street from Pete's Market, and down the street from an Aldi's grocery story; so you can get groceries and anything else you need there as well. There are also plenty of places that deliver to the hotel too if you don't feel like cooking. The hotel is also only 10 minutes from the OakBrook Mall and lots of strip malls. I had no problems with the staff. In fact, the staff was awesome in my opinion. If there was a problem with another guest, I just took it to the staff and they handled it ASAP. There is a laundry room on the premises (4 washers and 6 dryers). The machines don't take quarters- you have to get a special card that only lets you load it via dollar bills or using your credit card. There are also vending machines for the laundry, and vending machines for junk food and sodas as well. There is Wi-fi but you have to pay for it. There are phones in each room (but you are charged for certain calls) but the phones do come with voice mail which is good. There is also security on-site. If there is ever a problem with other guests or you are locked out of your room, you can call the officer who is on duty. The tvs are great- good sized televisions mounted on the wall and the cable selection is great as well. Plenty of channels for adults and kids if you wind up having to stay here on a weekly basis. If you are staying weekly, you can either pay at the front desk or pay online. My only issue is the front desk is closed on Sundays, so if you need something taken care of, you better do it before Sunday rolls around. Housekeeping comes once a week (on the same day). You have to leave your room while they clean your room (most people are either at work during this time or they stand in the hallway while they are cleaning). I never had a problem with the housekeepers. They were always friendly and did a great job keeping my room clean. The only problem I had with this place was the other guests. There were plenty of people who smoked marijuana in their rooms (or they had friends come over who smoked it). Again, I addressed this with the front desk staff and they handled it accordingly. The other issue with the guests concerned the cooking. I can't tell you how many times the smoke detectors and smoke alarms would go off because someone either burnt popcorn in their microwave or burned something on the stove. It is NOT fun to get dressed and stand outside in the winter while you wait for the fire department to give you the okay to go back to your room. Some of the guests also walk like elephants and that can be annoying as hell if you are in a downstairs room trying to relax and/or sleep. Again, the front desk staff handled my complaints and rectified the situation for me every single time. I just had to remind myself that these same guests would probably be the same type of people I would have to deal with in an apartment building or complex as well. There was a time or two where the rates were raised while I was staying there, and that's never fun. But it was still cheaper than the Extended Stay down the street. If you need a place to stay for a week or a year, this is definitely the place to stay. read more

I had to stay here because it was close to my doctor office in Oakbrook. The worst customer service of all the hotels I ever been to front Desk guy is a jerk. The towels in the room are so cheap quality. I can get better towels at the Dollar store, The Bedspread looks as if they never clean it. So I took it off the bed stored in the closet. Slept on my own blankets I keep in my car The pillows are also so cheap. You have to fold the pillows just to give you any lift. They only give you 2. The hallway smells like a old bar. tons of cigarette smoke. But they did have a professional cleaning company clean the hallway.It needs to be no smoking through-out the hotel. Okay the room is clean, I can give them that. Just to be honest folks. All they need to do is update the room like they did with the 32in flat screen TV. Get rid of that dude who is at the front desk.& the Caucasian housekeeper whom look like trash. But Its a okay place for a week stay. But I'm never coming back. Stay away from this location, unless you want to find yourself without a room when you arrive to check in. I made a reservation several weeks before my arrival, received a confirmation by email, confirmed again by phone (I wanted to make sure I had a non-smoking room), packed up my car, arrived at the duly appointed check-in time, and was told I didn't have a reservation. Despite the fact that I had my confirmation on my phone as proof. They assumed no responsibility for the failure to honor their guarantee of a room, and could only offer me another room at locations several miles away that I couldn't accept due to a WFH situation. The woman manning the desk, Nicole, as well as her supervisor Nicky, were totally lacking common sense and the customer services skills required to deal with a problem that was theirs in the making. Basically, I had the audacity to assume I had a reserved room there, because by golly, that's exactly what my reservation confirmation said. Avoid this place unless you're the adventuresome type who doesn't mind driving around looking for a place to stay. read more

This location is a lot nicer than the one on Ogden ave in Downers grove. It is kept cleaner, and the management minds their own business. They take better care of their rooms and charge less per week. I was very happy when I had to live here. Plus, all the stores you could need are right within walking distance. read more
