Check-in was smooth, staff was professional, and the room itself was clean and up to standard. The bed was comfortable and it served its purpose well for a short-term stay during a stressful transition. That said, I can't give a full 5 stars because of a few issues during our stay. There were several nights where noise carried late into the hallways, including guests having parties nearby that made it hard to fully rest. We also noticed some disruptive behavior outside the rooms at times that wasn't really addressed quickly. Nothing ruined the entire stay, but it definitely took away from the peace and relaxation we were expecting during an already stressful moment in our lives. Overall, solid hotel with good basics and a convenient location, but management could do a better job enforcing quiet hours and keeping the environment more controlled. I'd still consider staying again, but with the expectation that weekends may get a bit chaotic. 4 stars.

The staff, especially Kenyatta and Maria, were kind and welcoming. My room was clean, the area felt safe, I had a hot shower, and the motel is about 15 minutes from MDW. I didn't eat breakfast, but I appreciated that it was available. I know there are several negative reviews here, but my experience was positive, and it met my needs when I was in a jam.

At a pivotal point, our stay was interrupted by a rap rap rapping at the door. Did they think someone was being brutally murdered? Well if they did, then they must not have been that concerned since they did nothing else to save the supposed victim after knocking on the door. They would have gotten one star, but you get acess to free hardcore pornography movies for the duration of your stay. That always gets a star from me.

The Rainbow Motel is a vintage theme motel, that was fit for fantasy and fun in its heyday. It is an ultra kitschy adult playground with heart shaped mirrors on the ceiling, maximalist decor, jacuzzi tubs, and even a sandwich shaped bed in their "Out To Lunch" room. The motel has been featured in the iconic book "Hotel Kitsch". Unfortunately, in 2024, it is dilapidated, dirty, and not somewhere I would ever spend the night. I arrived on a weekday morning, and was greeted by a friendly caretaker with no teeth. I made my way to the office, where a sweet younger woman took my payment and gave me a key. I seemed to be the only guest there. The surrounding area felt safe; it is in a residential neighborhood. I opted for the Wine & Roses room for the heart shaped bed, pink jacuzzi tub, and pastel wall murals. You can tell that at some point, this place was loved and cared for. But now, the room had slick, oily floors, smelled of stale cigarettes, and seemed to be covered in layers of filth. I embraced the experience, had a great shoot, and left hoping that someday this diamond in the rough will be restored.

Ask the person's age said 52 said it was okay. Then proceeded to mention that a psychiatric service dog will be accompanying the person to which the reply was I have a no pet policy I don't care what the animal is for I do not accept animals your person is more than welcome to rent a room here but they must leave the dog somewhere else I don't care what the dog does for the person and then hung up on!

I asked her "if the rooms are clean and nice"and she said they were very nice and spotless, now of course she's going to say that but it was something about the way she said it made me trust her. She gave me the keys to my room I opened it up and I was pleasantly surprised. My room was clean, updated, carpet was clean, nice flat screen and I felt very comfortable and safe in my room.
