I love this place!!! Before I walked in, I already love the aesthetic and the vibes of this place. I went in before it closed and it was still busy! There was a lot of drink and food options, so I got a smoothie that the staff recommended and got a premade recovery drink they had. I really enjoyed the smoothie and I would recommend this place for both locals and visitors!

Excellent reformed thirty thirty, I miss the banana bread latte but the addition of fresh pressed juices is something! We tried a blue one, wild good blend of ginger, apple, cucumber, and more, be sure to shake first. My latte was the Rage one, stupid heavy on rosemary, tasted like weird awkward Christmas tea. They definitely didn't do the syrup correct which is the first time a house craft has been wrong for me. A pity for such a lovely comfortable atmosphere and enjoyable staff. So yeah, I'm still in love with Zion!

Wow! First, let me say, this place is a GEM! Hands down one of the best coffee places I've been in a long time. That's saying a lot since I live in downtown Chicago. Was visiting my family and looking up reviews for coffee shops and cafes - this one was rated as top-notch. Second, the baristas are super nice. The coffee I had (iced oatmilk latte) was wonderful. I love that it is located in such a historical building as well. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Peoria.

We were in town for a show, and stumbled upon this place. What a special treat!!!! 1. Ambiance is lovely 2. Line was crazy, but turned out good things are worth the wait 3. Pride in product, as busy as they were , was impeccable 4. Coffee was delicious, the bowls looked amazing 5. Would absolutely love spending my mornings here Great local place!

Sad presentation of the a $6.20, latte with house-made cashew milk.

Disclaimer: This rating is primarily based on my experience with the hot drink. I'm in town for a short visit and stumbled upon a charming coffee shop near my hotel. I decided to check it out before meeting a friend for brunch. The long line seemed promising. The cashier was friendly and took my order--a hot latte with house-made cashew milk and a chocolate croissant. We exchanged pleasantries, he handed me the pastry, and wished me a good day. The croissant was flaky, decadent, and filled with rich dark chocolate--absolutely delicious. The coffee, however, took a while, which was a bit frustrating. I finished the pastry before my drink was ready. When my name was finally called, I picked up the latte and was disappointed by the presentation. The design was sloppy, and after the first sip, I regretted the order. The coffee was unexpectedly bitter and not to my taste. I really wanted to love this place. While the service was kind and the croissant outstanding, the wait and coffee quality fell short. Still, I'd return for that croissant alone.

Does your intuition say you will like this place? One of the big coffee places in Peoria was always 30/30 Coffee. Whatever happened, they decided to close their doors after serving many cups of coffee. In the ashes of 30/30 rises Intuition Coffee + Juice. Funny enough, I am usually behind on trying out new coffeehouses but this time, Maria and I wanted to try out a new place on their opening day... so that's what we did. This location is prime for getting a lot of foot traffic from the local hospitals and businesses so it was no surprise to see this place bustling when we dropped in around 10am on their opening day. It's not often I drop into a coffeehouse in the Central Illinois that has a line almost to the door and that's exactly what I experienced at Intuition. It's good to see a local place drawing a large crowd for the opening day. Maria, as usual, got there before me and ordered her drink and avocado toast before I got there. She picked us out a seat in the back next to a fireplace and a side room where it looks like they pack their coffee bags. I ordered my usual Americano and snagged a chocolate chip cookie and two stickers to help support their opening day. We sat down and I waited about 15 minutes for my drink due to the sheer amount of people ordering food. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't yell out my name when it was ready so I was constantly either walking up to the counter to see if it was ready or turning my head to see if my drink was placed in the 'pick up' area... which also wasn't labeled. But once I got my drink, my cookie was pretty much done. I tried to save it for my drink but I was too hungry and too eager to try it out. I have to say that the cookie was pretty standard. It wasn't astounding but it wasn't bad. Nothing to write home and that was the same about the coffee. Americano's come in a variety of bitterness' and this one was on the lighter side. While I've said many times that I prefer a more bitter one, this one didn't disappoint. It went down smooth due to the lightness of the bitterness and I was done before Maria was 1/4 of the way done with her drink. The interior of the place was your standard quo for an upscale coffeehouse. The big thing known about this location is the stuffed black bear... sorry... polar bear dyed black. I won't go into details but it's a definitely something to stop in and see... while snagging some caffeine. You can see me posing with it in the images below. With it being their opening day to the public, I am not going to rate the place since almost every place has their hiccups and snags for opening day. Not that I encountered much myself but they could revise how they do things by the end of the week. Maybe I will go back once they've been open for awhile and see how things have changed/tweaked. Stay caffeinated, my friends!

Intuition @ Peoria -- Where Coffee Meets Soul "The answer lies within." I couldn't think of a more fitting quote to describe this gem of a coffee shop. Intuition isn't just a place to grab a cup--it's a full-on coffee experience. With a wide selection of snacks and a vibe that feels more like a cozy coffee bar than a typical café, it immediately pulls you in. As always, my focus was on two things: the coffee and the barista. I walked in, scanned the space, took in the crowd, the ambiance, and most importantly, the energy behind the espresso machine. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the giant bear at the entrance? A quirky, delightful welcome. One unique touch that stood out: "Leave a mug, take a mug." It's a brilliant concept--like finding your coffee soulmate in ceramic form. Now, onto the main event. I ordered my usual: a cappuccino with oat milk. With the ambiance already setting the bar high, I was eager to see if the coffee would match. I watched the barista--unaware of my quiet observation--as he crafted my drink with precision and passion. His movements were fluid, almost artistic, and I could tell he cared deeply about the process. When my name was called, I carefully took my cup to the table. The steam rose gently, and the aroma hit me instantly--rich, roasted, and soul-stirring. That first sip? Pure magic. I closed my eyes and let the flavor take over. Smooth, slightly caramelized, and one of the best espresso blends I've ever tasted. I couldn't resist--I had to know more. I walked up to the barista, Jerry, the quiet craftsman behind the counter, whose hands had just conjured a cup that spoke louder than words. "Where do these beans come from?" I asked, He smiled, a humble curve of pride, and replied, "We carefully select our beans from across the U.S., and roast them locally with precision." That was it. No grand speech, no elaborate pitch--just truth, care, and mastery distilled into a single sentence. I thanked him, not just for the coffee, but for the artistry, the intention, and the quiet brilliance that turned a simple cup into a soulful experience. If you're a cappuccino lover or just someone who appreciates a thoughtfully crafted coffee, Intuition @ Peoria is a must-visit. As their wall says, "The answer lies within." And trust me, it's worth discovering.

Had the "Cure Your Blues" juice land a cortado coffee to go. I was stressed, running late, and wanted fuel to volunteer for "Look It's My Book". Downtown. On a Saturday. Which apparently is a ridiculous notion. This spot was my oasis. Lovely and, this was key for me, efficient staff which is not always the case in such a cool little spot. Bottled juice was so fresh I could nearly feel the peel. Coffee was smooth and delicious ious. Hope you have as satisfying an experience as I did

This is one of the cutest coffee shops that I think I've ever seen. I was visiting my nephew in Peoria, Illinois. He wanted to show me around downtown and we stopped to get a wellness shot. I got the cayenne pepper lemon, and it was so good exactly how I like it because some people don't put enough cayenne and I like it to kinda give me that... kick. I'm not sure what was there before, but the bear was their mascot and so intuition coffee kept the bear mascot and this stuffed taxidermy bear that's inside of the coffee shop. It was pretty darn cool, if I must say so myself. It was very clean. Everyone was very friendly good music playing in the background definitely good vibes, Instagram, worthy photo op, highly suggest!

The coffee from here is unbelievably good. I live far away in Chicago but fortunately their shipping vendor is inexpensive so I was able to check it out. The UMa and Seven Sages blends have been fantastic both in espresso form with almond milk (cortado) as well as by drip. Have not messed with any of these in my pour over yet. Will for sure be continuing to buy from Intuition!

First time there and I loved it! Unique coffee selections and even more unique juice. Love the varieties of toast. They have so many options that there's something for everybody. Service was quick & friendly. Besides the great service, food, coffee and juice, it's in a really cool old building. Great spot to meet friends, do work or just enjoy a cup of coffee by yourself. Definitely try this spot next time you're in the area.

Love this new place! They have a variety of drinks and food options, as well as, a grab and go station filled with some tasty looking items. I got a matcha latte and it was fantastic. The cold brew was also really good, I tried a sip of my friends. Drinks came to a total of $10.60 before tip. Additionally, the toast with banana and chocolate on it was really good. You also cant forget they have the iconic Peoria BEAR!!!! My ONE complaint is they need to not put sharpie on the cups for cold drinks because it stains your hands black, but other than that, I highly recommend this new shop!!!

Delicious drip, a selection of pour-over choices and all the espresso drinks you'd expect. Healthy cold-press drinks and a small selection of excellent food options. My açaí bowl was fresh and delicious. As I write this, the place has only been open a matter of days yet is well-run. While the streets were still empty at 6:00am, this place already had enough good word-of-mouth that there was a steady stream of customers. Why does this place work so well? It turns out that the founder was a roaster previously in Idaho and Utah so well-versed in coffee. Also, some of his team came with him from Utah to reprise their roles in this start-up. They know what they're doing and it shows. Beyond finding this unexpectedly delicious place for coffee and a bite, what surprises? How about a 9' tall 1,000 pound stuffed bear?! Yep, they've got that too!

Review Visit: October 30th, 2017…read more With my love for coffee and visiting coffeehouses, it is a surprise that this place popped up in Peoria without me knowing. My friend and I were actually heading to Riley's Cupcakes and Coffee Lounge for some caffeine and sweets when we found out they were closed on Mondays as of recent. Sad at the thought of not getting to try a new coffee place, my friend suggested we try the place a few doors down. Come to my surprise that there was a newer coffeehouse right there. So, in we went! [CxT] appears to be a new coffeehouse in Peoria, a city that seems to be going through a renewal of sorts... tons of new places, young places, fresh places... and [CxT] is a welcome addition, in my books. If cozy coffeehouses needed a photo, this place would be perfect. It's small with very limited seating but it's still open enough to feel inviting. Upon going in, we were greeted by one of the owners behind the counter and we chatted for a bit while trying to figure out what to order. Very nice fellow and I hope their company does well. My friend ended up ordering a Matcha Tea Latte while I ordered an Iced Caramel Latte. Oftentimes when I order my usual, it is either a bit too bitter or a bit too sweet, but the balance of this latte was a near perfect blend of flavor and espresso. It is easily a Top 10 for me. My friend said his Matcha Tea was pretty good. He had to explain to me what he ordered as I had never heard of it before. If you like their coffee a lot, they roast it themselves and you can get it in a multitude of flavors. They also offers some unique chocolates, which my friend bought and liked. They have these cool things that you stir in Hot Cocoa and it dissolves, giving it a new flavor. I want to go back and get a few of those things before winter fully hits! There appears to be art on one wall that is for sale. I didn't get a good look at them but they looked cool from afar. There is also a pretty decent-sized jewelry set up, if you need to accessorize while picking up some coffee. All-in-all, [CxT] Roasting Company is a great addition to not just Main Street in Peoria but also to Peoria itself.

The service is great! The Barista, Elliot, gave great recommendations and made some great coffee…read more Great coffee and good vibes. Highly recommended.

There's a wholesome obnoxious vibe between pure white walls, dirty disco and thumping music, a polite and talented barista troupe, posh and perfect menu both alcoholic and food. Avo toast will convert the most hardened of appetites! I've never tried a cocktail yet a bit intoxicated with their methods for putting together java and espresso. I wish they offered discounts for personal cups, a more inviting and fair rewards program, and the bright big space suddenly becomes a small noisy circus on busy weekends but overall this is the ideal. Peoria should be proud!

Don't be a chicken on trying new places…read more Maria and I dropped in on this hidden gem of a coffee place on a whim. I had seen the local newspaper cover their opening so I asked her that morning if she wanted to go and so we went. Maria had some trouble locating the coffeehouse as it's located inside a business-like building and then down a hallway. Once we figured it out, we ordered our drinks and plopped down for some sips and chats. Maria got a cold brew and I snagged a very large black americano. It wasn't super bitter like some americanos that I've had before but that was a welcome change. The owner/cashier was super friendly and Maria ended up talking to her for a bit while I looked around. It didn't take long to get our drinks and we sat down at one of the few places to sit in the small coffeehouse area. This place strikes me as a place better to snag your coffee and go back to work in one of the many offices around but the inclusion of chairs and tables is nice for those of us who want to drop in and chill with some caffeine and a friend for awhile. If you are hungry, there isn't much in the way for food besides them selling Tadoughs donuts and some small offerings like bagged chips. That wasn't a concern for me but I know Maria was hungry for something like a breakfast sandwich or the like. But due to the quaint size of the area behind the counter, they probably don't have the space for proper cooking instruments. All-in-all, a really cool and really small coffeehouse located in some kind of office building.

The Madison side is easier to spot since it has a larger sign, but when I visited those doors were under renovation. I walked around to the Fulton side, which does not have a big sign but is still open. Look for the glass double doors near the corner, then step inside. It feels like a small indoor walkway or hidden plaza. Once inside, stay along the left corridor and you will see a green fence on your right that marks the entrance to Cultured Grounds. The moment you step in, the space feels welcoming and calm. There are cozy couches, a colorful rug, and sunlight streaming down from the tower above that naturally brightens the room. It feels peaceful, inviting, and different from most downtown spots. They offer sandwiches and salads ready to go, along with a simple menu that includes my favorite avocado toast. It came with arugula, tomato, and a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning that added great flavor. You can ask how you would like your toast or customize it a bit, which I thought was such a nice touch. I ordered an almond milk matcha and it was smooth and balanced. You can choose sweetened or unsweetened, and they also offer soy and dairy milk options. The seating setup is great with couches, high top tables, and regular tables near the counter. There is also a shared food court area near the other entrance if you want extra space. It was lively but not loud on a Tuesday morning, the kind of place where you can sit back and enjoy your drink without feeling rushed. The charm alone will bring me back, and next time I am buying one of those salads to go.

She recommended the Cuban Pulled Pork Sandwich. My sandwich was huge and contained a large portion of pulled pork meat. It was delicious and the homemade chipotle bbq mayo made it all the more satisfying with its rich smoky flavor! The Cuban-style black beans were right out of Miami! Very nicely prepared and included green peas, carrots, corn, and bell peppers, as well. My dining companion, for her part, ordered the Falafel platter, with a side order of gyro meat. The falafel (a dozen), were fresh, tasty, and just the right consistency. These were served with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pita, and hummus. The side order of gyro meat featured a generous portion of decadently succulent lamb shavings and included two portions of homemade tzatziki sauce. Everything we ate was prepared to perfection and could easily compete with exceptional restaurants in Chicago! Yes, the food at One World is that good. As for the service, our waitress Quincy was friendly and professional. As for the ambiance and decor--we arrived ahead of the lunch crowd, so it was pretty quiet. The decor, however, is nicely done. The premises were clean and well maintained. Ditto the restrooms. The restaurant is actually huge. There are multiple dining areas and in the summer there is an outside patio behind the restaurant, as well. As for pricing and affordability--quality costs, and the food here is definitely a cut above. That being said, the owners have priced the entrees quite reasonably considering the generous portion-size and quality of the food. My overall opinion? If you want a dining experience worthy of comparison to the best Chicagoland has to offer, but don't want to make the long drive--or pay twice as much--then I highly recommend this little gem of a locally-owned restaurant in Peoria!

I got the thai chicken pizza and it was SO good. The hot honey was a little sweeter than I expected, however the jalepeno balanced it well. The hummus also was hands down one of the best I have ever had. Still thinking about it. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was the service. Everything was fine until it came to pay. I don't know if our server disappeared or something but we waited 30-45 minutes to get our check which was semi-frustrating. Anyways, 10/10 food. Very unique. Very different. I recommend!!!
