When i finally talked to her about my neck injury, She assured me that she knew how to work on injuries that had to do with the neck, middle back, and lower back. Traci has an extremely high standard of ethics, which is one of the reasons I respect her so much. She is also one of the most aware people I have ever met. She not only has healing hands, she also has a therapy background that enables her to hear people talk about their innermost issues and respond to them in a deeply compassionate way. Traci's compassion carries over in other special ways - like finding specific period music to play during massage for a senior client who misses dancing to certain songs when she was young. The joyful setting that she creates for that client during her weekly massages cannot be conveyed in words. Her massage technique combines Lomi Lomi, Swedish, and Cranial work to create a session in which her nurturing energy shines through. Her flowing Lomi-style strokes down my back, with just the right pressure for me, always puts me OUT!! As an individual, Traci is a giver and this is certainly evident in her demeanor and her touch. Pros: clean, friendly…read more Cons: did not perform the service I paid for. I scheduled a deep tissue massage and there was nothing deep about it. At the beginning she did not ask what type of pressure I liked and she did not ask during the massage if the pressure was ok, or if I wanted more. I spoke up and requested more but she did not increase the pressure at all. At the end of the massage she did not ask how I felt. This made me feel like she didn't care about what kind of massage I liked. She was going to do what ever she wanted. She did explain at the end that my muscles responded with tension when she tried to squeeze them so she would've had to go really deep in order to relax them. I have 3 issues with that: 1) duh that's why I requested a deep tissue massage. I've had bruises from massages, albeit weird I like it that hard. 2) every therapist is different, but this technique is not the norm and it should've been explained at the beginning. 3) because this is not the norm, trust needs to built with the client so that they are open to something new. Unfortunately, I will never go back because I believe she will just do what she wants and not what I want or pay for. If she felt like more pressure would've caused damage she could stop the massage. Instead we both wasted an hour and a half of our time.
