Came here after it being recommended. The massage was nice, but the scalp massage was terrible. The lady doing it didn't put oil on my actual scalp, just on the strands, so it was a painful, burning sensation and it stung so much hours after. Was tempted to ask for a refund because it felt like my scalp was burning. There was also confusion at the register. Everything had been paid beforehand, but during the confusion, the lady who seemed to be in charge snapped at me to pay tip to the woman who did my massage. She came off as rude and demanding, and it turns out, she was wrong because the tip had already been paid. Won't go back because of the painful and unprofessional scalp massage, and for how rude that older lady was. Had a massage this morning with Suzie per request because the reviews were talking her up and let me tell you, the woman didn't disappoint! I haven't had a massage in nearly 7 years because I haven't found a place to home that I have found affordable. I work on my feet and I'm standing anywhere between eight to nine hours so I knew I needed to give myself this time. My signature hot stone massage with Sara was excellent. I am someone who prefers the opposite of what most ask for, which is soft & gentle touch. In the past when I have told massage therapists to take it easy, I still found myself wincing uncomfortably the entire time. She applied the perfect pressure that I found very comfortable and relaxing. The hot stones felt so good on my upper back and around my neck where I have been experiencing pain. I can't remember the last time I almost fell asleep during a massage and actually enjoyed getting one. The prices are also hard to beat and staff was very friendly. I came here with an advanced reservation based on the good reviews and advertised pricing that was a great deal for the West LA area. This is my first time trying this place. I got the sports deep tissue massage. My masseuse did a great job with the right amount of pressure, though I did wish she focused on the areas I had specified more (calves, shoulders). The first 10 min or so was all over the sheets, then moved to lotion/massage. They wipe you down with hot towels during the massage. The area was clean and calming. The music was also soothing. There is also free parking in the front in a small lot. One downside was that upon checking out, I was basically held up by the receptionist until I provided a certain amount of tip. This was mentioned in other reviews, and I wanted to bring this back up. I was practically unable to leave until I did, but my rule of thumb (not sure if this is just personal) is that I provide a certain amount for the first visit and then a higher amount on subsequent visits as this is a token of loyalty and appreciation. I booked a 60-minute massage with an additional 10-minute scalp massage. Overall, the experience was just okay. I requested a combination of Swedish and Thai massage, but it ended up being entirely Swedish--no Thai techniques were used at all. Unfortunately, the massage didn't relieve any of the knots or tension I came in with. They also used an excessive amount of oil, which made the experience less comfortable. The scalp massage was more of a light head rub with no real pressure or technique, and by the end, my hair was completely soaked in oil--which wasn't what I expected or wanted. For the price, I expected more attentive and effective service. I don't think I'll be returning, as there are better options out there. read more

This is most definitely my new go to massage spot. Everyone is so so friendly and kind. It's such a relaxing vibe with peaceful music. The whole place smells so good as soon as you walk in and the women in the front desk is always so nice and welcoming. My massage therapist Alex is truly the best. He uses the perfect amount of pressure and the perfect amount of oil and is so polite, kind, and really talented at what he does. This was my second time coming to him and definitely won't be my last. Came here yesterday (Saturday) with both my mom and little sister. Before my appt. they called me to ask if I'd like to have all three appts. scheduled at the same time (one was 30 mins later) so that already off to a great start. Once there, the receptionist was so nice and the rooms we were in were calm and nicely decorated and organized. My masseuse was Windy who gave me an amazing swedish massage and foot scrub ($87 total for 1hr 15min.). She noted the tension in my neck and shoulders and did her best to alleviate that. The bed I was laying on was heating which was so nice! And I loved how the oil/lotion that was used on my body felt. She cleansed my body with hot towelette afterwards and I just felt sooo rejuvenated. I was offered tea or water afterwards and when I met with my mom and sister after they both had an amazing experience as well; their masseuses were Arty and Nim. I've had a lot of massages before and this is by far my favorite place, for the price point, quality of care and people personalities. I am definitely going to come back. I haven't been to a massage place in YEARS because of COVID. Except my neck/back was aching so I decided to try this place because of the great reviews. Here are the good things: They use hot towels on you 3x during a 60 min massage so you don't leave super oily. The place is clean, nice, and the prices are good. They give you a stamp card so you will return and you can get more stamps/free massage at the end I guess or maybe a discount. I wasn't really listening. LOL And the card doesn't say. They had a cold bottle of Crystal Geyer water waiting for me. The ladies are nice and they read the notes you leave when you book an appt online. They have a chat function at their website. What needs improving/what I didn't like... I booked my appt online and chose a specific therapist that I read named in a lot of reviews. They called me the morning of my appt to say she wasn't available, but someone else was. This was fine with me, but maybe the back end of their website can be fixed. I'd hate to run into that problem if you only want a specific person. Massage is VERY subjective. It took me years to find my fave massage lady that she would put me to sleep in 5 min and then she moved to another county. So, I guess this place runs very Asian style. A great majority of my massage was done with elbow, back of forearm, knuckles, knees, feet/toes and hardly any finger tips/palm of hand/heal of hand looking for knots. I asked for a deep tissue massage which to me is all about looking for knots and working them out. The first 5-10 min or so of the massage was under the sheet and blanket. It was in the mid 80s the day of my massage so coming in to have the heated massage table was too much. I had them turn it off immediately. Then the first part of the massage being under the blanket was also a lot, but I didn't know if it was a COVID precaution or if only the first few minutes were like that so I didn't say anything. Sound was not an issue for me, but I don't think anyone else was there or only one other person was. They have individual rooms with 3 walls, but instead of a door, it is a heavy curtain for the 4th wall which I wasn't expecting. I have encountered huge rooms split with 4 curtains, but never a room with 3 walls and a cut out for a door, but no door. This is minor to me. Just a heads up for you. The massage table does not have a removable donut/headrest/face rest. Instead there is a small round circle that is there. I wore a double mask and I have a small face/am petite and really only my nose/mouth would fit. So about 20 min into the massage all the pressure of the weight of my head was on eye brows/brow bone that I resorted to using my hands as a pillow. Also I had to take off one of my masks because I was suffocating because the hole is too small. Not sure how bigger people would manage. Since you start out on your stomach, when you turn on your back they give you a pillow to cover the hole. The pillow was not firm enough to my liking and seemed like a regular bed pillow, not a thicker firmer harder round pillow to support your neck. Because it is more of an Asian style place, my massage therapist sat on the massage table and/or straddled me for about 15 minute of my entire massage. Which they were not heavy, but this is not my favorite style of massage. Plus it was hot that day. Again, I am petite so not sure how this would work with taller/bigger people. When you pay, it defaults to 25% tip and there is a $2 charge to use a cc, which they do tell you about before they run your card. So my $65 massage plus $2 cc fee and 25% tip was $83.75. And my random suggestion for ALL massage places. I know within 15 min or even less if I like the style of massage the therapist is doing. I really wish there was a way to book a 1 hour massage but try 4 different people at 15 min increments to find who I like. Or offer 15 min chair massages so I would be able to experience their technique to see if I liked it. It would save me so much time and it's one of the reasons why I haven't gone to find a new massage person cause it's a lot of trial and error. read more

This location used to be a massage parlor under a different name (Chivas? Perhaps) but now it's much improved in every way! Nicer and more elegant decor, cleaner rooms, and more attentive masseuses. My personal preference is Rita - she is methodical, slow and gentle. Prices are very reasonable for the post COVID price level. The only thing is when you pay, the default tip options start with 25% and goes up from there. It's a very small place so you'd hear everything when customers or staff talk while you're getting your massage. I hope they can be a bit more sensitive and lower their volumes so other customers could enjoy their massage. Parking lot is small and shared with a few other businesses so you may want to arrive early. Street parking is very difficult in this neighborhood. read more

The room was dark, but welcoming and very clean. My massage therapist checked in w/ me regularly re: the pressure and really worked out the knots in my shoulders & neck (the main reason for my visit today). Warm towels were used throughout the treatment, so you don't leave oily. My only constructive feedback would be to position the foot rest/pillow at the beginning of the treatment; my knees started to hurt towards the middle from laying flat, but wasn't a big deal to detour me from future visits. They offer room temperature & cold water upon departure and give you a frequent customer stamp card that can eventually be redeemed for a free massage. I will definitely be back! read more

My masseuse wasn't very communicative, never asking if the pressure she was using was right. My partners masseuse was more communicative, although he ignored her request not to massage a specific area, leaving her in discomfort afterward. All in all, i was left feeling unsatisfied and would rather pay more to get a better massage. A host/masseuse who is looking to build a better repore with their clientele is what I look for. I think I finally found an affordable place for my massage needs! After a horrible experience earlier in the year by making a 90 mins massage at a place over never gone to before and then having it be painful as ever, I've been super skeptical of reviews on massage places. I highly considered going to some places that are priced higher, but I just couldn't get myself to do it. I had called on a Thursday to make an appt for Saturday. They had some but not a lot of openings left. I ended up having canceled plans on Friday and called first thing they opened to see if they could move me for that afternoon. I typically like getting a female masseuse but only a male was available. I was in so much shoulder pain that I didn't care at that point. Came to my massage right on time, small parking lot but was able to snatch the last spot. Filled out an intake and was on the heated massage table not much longer after. The oils they used were nice and warm too. Goal for the massage: get out the shoulder knots and relax. Goals achieved. Could I have asked for it to be more pressure? Yes, but it was perfect for what I needed. My only complaint was that I went on a weekday afternoon and it seemed that there is some loud construction happening, maybe warning customers beforehand? Didn't bother me too much because I really enjoyed the massage. A bottle of water was offered after. For $65/hour (paid cash), which is almost unheard of on the westside, and great service and quality, I will be back. read more

There's a parking lot in front (shared with other businesses) that you can park in during your treatment. I found Overose because I was eating in the area and saw their sign. Right after they opened a car hit their entrance which is why it's a little under construction looking but do not let that deter you! They have great service - I've booked treatments in person and over the phone and they're accommodating and make the process easy. If you have a treatment prior to 2pm you get a slight discount too. Their treatment rooms are simple with mini space heaters, dim lighting, and heated pads under the beds. The beds themselves are comfy too. My most recent 60 minute massage was with Amy and it was seriously one of the best massages I've ever had. I had medium pressure and she continually asked if it was good or I wanted softer/lighter, and I was able to note which areas I wanted to focus on. It was a combination of massage and stretching which I loved! You can pay in cash or card (extra $2 charge) and they give you water and a little treat when you're leaving too. read more

When I came here, I have overose massage which is signature from this place. It is similar combo massage but the therapy used aroma oil for massage whith staighting and added hot stones for released tie musel area while I will get relaxing from aroma oil.
