They immediately pay attention to detail, starting with a quick form so you can explain what you're coming in for and what areas need attention. Once I was taken to my room, I instantly felt relaxed. The atmosphere is so calming, with soothing music and ocean sounds that really elevate the entire experience. Lupe took care of me, and I truly loved every single moment. I've never been somewhere that takes the time to have a genuine conversation and consult with you about your needs before starting. She was sweet, informative, friendly, and incredibly personable. I appreciated every interaction. I got a 90-minute deep tissue massage, and she really took care of me. I haven't felt that relaxed in months. The oil smelled amazing, and everything about the experience felt so intentional. Lupe listened closely and targeted the areas where I hold the most stress. She made sure I left feeling my absolute best. At the end, she reminded me to hydrate and even gave helpful guidance on how often I should come back. They also provided a refreshing mint, water and a towel after the session, which was such a nice touch. Overall, the entire staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. I can't say enough wonderful things about MendMe massage. My experience was delightful! I was having some pretty frustrating back and neck pain that persisted over several days. It was about 8:30 PM on a Friday and I was certain no massage place(s) would be open. My husband found this place online and the receptionist was very accommodating and professional when I called to schedule my appointment. She scheduled me for the last appointment of the night, which was 9 PM. Yep... they're open until 10 PM. My massage was with Carolyn. Prior to my massage, she shared with me. She has been offering her experience for 29 years--and her skill proved evident! In addition to probably one of the best healing massages I've ever had, the ambience was exceptional including the most comfortable massage table, comfy sheets, ambient lighting, perfect temperature .. everything. I have been experiencing relief from my neck and back pain ever since my massage. Often times post massage, my aches and pains come back the next day. Carolyn's technique has offered me a new experience of pain-free sleep even a week later--and counting. I really look forward to visiting Carolyn again for maintenance and relaxation. No complaints about my great massage but my therapist was chatty and when I tried not responding -- that did not dissuade her. She was kind and I just didn't want to risk saying something and having things be weird because she clearly wanted to talk. I think all massage places should ask you (upon check-in) what your desired level of conversation is (like an Uber Black). Every time. Because on another day I might not have felt the same way. Or, at the very least, suggest silence to the therapist (once past the greeting) and let the client set the conversation tone. read more

To all the guys looking for a deep tissue massage, avoid this place unless you want to pay $110 plus tip for a heavy oil bath (including in your hair) applied gingerly with fingertips. Huge waste of money. I made the mistake of trusting the reviews but realize now that it was all girls looking for relaxation. To be clear, I called in to confirm if they had a strong masseuse before I booked. They assured me they did and to order to "deep tissue." When I arrived, I spoke at length to the masseuse about applying strong pressure and was rebuffed. What followed was an hour of being drenched in oil and rubbed with fingertips. I asked several times during the massage for more pressure and was ignored. I am now $110 poorer and feel like basted turkey. What a joy! read more

I visited the LA area for four days, with a full tour of UCLA. I did a lot of walking over 2 days! My feet were sore and my body was aching. I searched yelp for recommendations. The first massage business that I contacted was a huge negative! The lady answered the phone and it sounds like I'd awakened her and...she did not acknowledge the business name so I felt like I was calling someone's personal phone line. Came here last minute for a deep tissue massage. Staff was nice a the space was clean. My massage, however, was awful. I requested deep tissue and even discussed the main areas of concern. Within the first 10 minutes I had to ask the masseuse if she knew I had booked specifically for a deep tissue because the technique was so terrible. She confirmed that she knew I wanted deep tissue. Half way through my massage I couldn't tolerate it anymore and kindly just asked her to stop altogether. I have gotten hundreds of massages. This was not a deep tissue or even a Swedish. It was a whole lot of rubbing with excessive oil. She didn't even put a towel by my hair. I left very disappointed and paid half the price because my massage was half the duration... no further discount. Unless you know a massage therapist specifically here I would not waste your time :( read more

Man I love mendme. To this day they are the best place to get a massage. I discovered them last year as I was staying in an airbnb nearby and i am so glad i took a chance on them. I mean WOW!!
