Wow! Amazing deep tissue massage by Joi. I've had deep tissue massages that are downright painful and rough. Joi was fluid and really worked her way into the muscles overtime. She also spent most of the time on the problem areas I told her about. Can't tell you how many times I've been asked about my problem areas only to have a masseuse just do their usual routine. So I really appreciated that she listened to me and gave extra TLC to my neck and upper back. I only wished I lived in the area.. seems like we don't have good masseuses back where I live as I've spent 3 years searching for a masseuse like Joi! Added plus that front desk staff are responsive and good at communicating. I was not able to start my massage at their usual start time and they made it happen so I could come in before their usual opening time. Now that's service!! Word of warning If you are looking for an up scale spa experience, you won't get it here. I can't say enough wonderful things about MendMe massage. My experience was delightful! I was having some pretty frustrating back and neck pain that persisted over several days. It was about 8:30 PM on a Friday and I was certain no massage place(s) would be open. My husband found this place online and the receptionist was very accommodating and professional when I called to schedule my appointment. She scheduled me for the last appointment of the night, which was 9 PM. Yep... they're open until 10 PM. My massage was with Carolyn. Prior to my massage, she shared with me. She has been offering her experience for 29 years--and her skill proved evident! In addition to probably one of the best healing massages I've ever had, the ambience was exceptional including the most comfortable massage table, comfy sheets, ambient lighting, perfect temperature .. everything. I have been experiencing relief from my neck and back pain ever since my massage. Often times post massage, my aches and pains come back the next day. To all the guys looking for a deep tissue massage, avoid this place unless you want to pay $110 plus tip for a heavy oil bath (including in your hair) applied gingerly with fingertips. Huge waste of money. I made the mistake of trusting the reviews but realize now that it was all girls looking for relaxation. To be clear, I called in to confirm if they had a strong masseuse before I booked. They assured me they did and to order to "deep tissue." When I arrived, I spoke at length to the masseuse about applying strong pressure and was rebuffed. What followed was an hour of being drenched in oil and rubbed with fingertips. I asked several times during the massage for more pressure and was ignored. I am now $110 poorer and feel like basted turkey. What a joy! read more

I started coming to MendMe Massage as we emerged from the shutdown of the pandemic, likely late 2020 or early 2021. Before then, I wasn't a massage person--as I never felt fully safe on a table. Mend Me changed that. It has always such been a warm, welcoming place. In my time there I've tried different massage therapists, massage types, and both the infared sauna and leg compression. No complaints about my great massage but my therapist was chatty and when I tried not responding -- that did not dissuade her. She was kind and I just didn't want to risk saying something and having things be weird because she clearly wanted to talk. I think all massage places should ask you (upon check-in) what your desired level of conversation is (like an Uber Black). Every time. Because on another day I might not have felt the same way.
