I am a self-taught ppf installer and have installed over a dozen Invisible Mask kits in the past 10 years for myself, friends and family. I am very detailed and picky and I have honestly never seen a perfect ppf job; regardless of the shop or material. I have seen some fantastic jobs, but you can always find a defect. That said, ppf installation is hard, very hard and takes a ton of patience. I have talked to a number of people that attempted their own ppf installation (product supplied from different companies) and many of them ended the project with the material in a ball in the garbage can. In my 10 years of experience buying only from Invisible Mask, their product has only gotten better and better. Have some of the kits fit better than others, yes. Was any fit ever terrible, no. Did I have issues with some installs because they were difficult and I lacked experience, yes. However, especially in the recent years, the kits I have purchased have fit amazingly. I recently bought an Invisible Mask kit for my '25 CR-V which included the partial hood and fenders, and bumper. The bumper of a '25 CR-V is quite complex and the install was difficult, but the fit of the kit was amazing! My most recent Invisible Mask kit was for an F150 I just purchased. This truck has a chrome bumper that I did not consider needing ppf. I wanted to buy the partial hood/fender kit, but I only wanted to buy one piece of the bumper kit. I left a message on the Invisible Mask site and also a voicemail message requesting to buy a custom kit. It did take a few weeks for Invisible Mask to get back to me; however, I talked to Kristen and she was super helpful, gave me a price on the custom kit, and sent it out that day! I got the kit a few days later. I have always used the 3M ppf offered by Invisible Mask and felt it was a very good, not fantastic product; but the price point was right. For my last purchase for the F150 I neglected to tell Kristen which material I wanted and she sent me ArmorWrap Ultra. OMG, I didn't know what I was missing! Although the 3M product is very good, the ArmorWrap is much better (it also has a lifetime warranty). Do you still have to pull and stretch the material and is it a bear to apply; yup! But in the end, it looks even better than the 3M and I think you get much better adhesion on the edges. BTW, the fit of this F150 kit was again, perfect! This is all just my two cents. I read an article about ppf application a while ago from a person that was a full-time installer. He said that until you have completed 100's of ppf installations, you won't be good at it. That, and all of the installs I have seen that have some type of flaw, put things in perspective for me. I, personally, have had very good experience with Invisible Mask and will certainly continue to buy my ppf kits only from them. Lastly, I did have one experience with another pre-cut ppf company. I was doing my nephew's M2 and although I had recommended he buy the ppf kit from Invisible Mask, he bought it somewhere else (sorry, I don't know the company). The front of an M2 is hard enough to apply ppf as it is, but this kit was absolutely horrible! read more

The flat plastic sheet wouldn't fit the contours of my cars hood. The instruction video was completely inadequate.

'26 Ram front bumper. fitment is garbage needs to be stretched extremely far to even get close and then trimmed all the way around the fog lights. Got it installed and was hazy in spots after cured. Ended up removing and going with another product. read more

Design is good except if you are inexperienced there is no way to get the product on correctly if you have lots of curves and valleys. Product needed stretched in the middle but not on the ends so that was difficult to figure out. They cut out for a light and the corners didn't match up took me 3 hours to install and installation looks like garbage. Stay away from this product if you are a DIY read more

Read a few of the reviews and surprised (and disagree). I have ordered 5 kits from Invisible Mask and have had nothing but great experiences. Customer service is top notch, have never had a situation where a question wasn't answered or a call back wasn't made. Just ordered a kit for a car not listed on their site. Got a call back within 10 minutes, car was added to the site, and kit was ordered. Appreciate Ken and the rest of the crew. Will only order my kits from them. read more

I ordered a the BEST quality they offered. A complete kit for my BMW X5. After it arrived they sent me a list of preferred local installers. The local installer had the most immaculate dust free clean room. The installer called me after they had installed the first piece. The film had flaws in it - flaws and waves ( not wrinkles, but thicker areas). Closer inspection revealed similar flaws on the unmounted film too. I contacted Invisible Mask. They said they'd call the installer and sort things out (they never bothered). I finally got Invisible to accept the return. They sent a pre-paid UPS label. Almost 10 weeks went by after they received it. No reply or credit on my credit card. Not until I contested the charges, did they bother to reply with sham allegation I swapped components. I sent back EXACTLY what they shipped, less the one installed piece that was damaged upon removal. They claimed that I returned pieces from a totally different car, pieces were missing and some were cut. They claimed that it wasn't even their product. Also turns out, their list of installers has never heard of them and hasn't even worked out any relationships. WARNING: there cannot be this many unhappy customers. Where there's smoke, there's fire. Believe the negatives reviews on this company. I ordered the full hood and fenders and had my installer put on, but he couldn't make it fit. He felt the material was cut wrong. We even sent in a picture (back to Invisible mask) showing the material bunching up along the fender. When we tried contacting the company during install by phone, it just went to voice mail three times. The person responding via email and will do everything to put the blame back on the customer, installer. When all fails of course, it has to a 3m approved installer. This product is heavily promoted as a do it yourself kit, with video's and instructions and nowhere does it say it has to be installed by a 3m installer they have to approve. absolutely the worst. I ordered a complete package for my CT5. this is the 5th car for which I've applied PPF. The fenders were an absolute bitch to install. ultimately invisible mask acknowledged they were the wrong size. I spent hours trimming the excess film off with a razor blade. and then they acknowledged that they never sent the side view mirror kits I paid for. and decided to go dark on me. I had to file a case with my credit card. they are absolutely awful read more

The one PPF kit I ordered for headlights and fog lights were great. Fit great. The other set - for my other car - the cutouts were off. When I inquired about it not fitting properly - to this day - I have not gotten a response. It's hit or miss. I would not recommend. read more

Ordered a complete bumper guard for my '17 Forester. The film I ordered was supposed to be custom cut to the vehicle. What I received was NOTHING like my actual vehicle. NOT ONE part of the film matched my bumper and that's account for stretching and taking a 2D piece of film and wrapping it around a 3D surface. Invisiblemask's instructions state to watch the videos for installation. I've done wet film applications before but when you spend $300 on a kit, I figured I'd spend the 5 minutes to watch a video. When you go to the Invisiblemask website and click the link for videos, all the thumbnails say video not available. This company is a complete rip off. read more

Ordered a kit for my GTI, I have installed kits before from other sources, but took a gamble with them. Worst mistake I have made, the kit did not fit and would need excessive stretch that would have caused failure. Parts were cut too small along the fenders that coverage would have been non existent. When I contacted support, they told me that it was cut correctly and that it was me that was doing it wrong. I ordered another kit elsewhere and it fit great, still needed some stretch but you could tell immediately it fit better, not to mention it was cheaper and the same 3M quality. Stay away from them, you will literally just be wasting your money, they offer no support and don't care if you are upset with them after. read more

I bought this mask to go over my front bumper. It was way too short. I installed this myself with all the extra supplies they give you. I never did something like this before. I started at one end because that is where I was after I laid it all out with the soapy water solution. The plastic did not reach the seam in the fender so I stretched the film but it made winkles. I tried to get the winkles and bubbles out but I could not get all of them out. I then stopped and started to work toward the middle only to find out that it was not centered. Too late now to try to center it. I noticed that there were two dips on the top of my bumper so I tried to get the film in there with no luck. I move on to the other side but I had to stretch the film a lot more. I ended up with a lot more winkles and bubbles in the film then the other side. I should have just removed the whole film at this point and threw it away. After about four hours I ended up with a winkled and bubbled film. Not happy at all! This film should only be applied with two professionals applying it and not by someone that has never done this before. read more

Poor fitment not cut to fit. If you hood has curves and details to work around steer clear of this product. I purchased for fitment on a 2022 jeep wrangler rubicon and the fitment was way off. Had to discard the hood protector at a loss after many failed attempts to install. I had installed many clear bra kits and are not a novice and this was by far the worse for fitment. I ordered a complete bumper kit from this company. Paid for the top line film. At the same time I also ordered a hood kit from another company. When the day came to install the ppf, I did the hood first. The hood piece fit perfectly. I had no issues installing that. When it came time to use the bumper kit from invisible mask, none of the pieces fit. Of course they have no returns which is buried in their website. I would avoid at all costs. Ordered the clear bra and was expecting a DIY install. For some area it was easy to fir and install. The bumper and most other parts were not even cut right. Off by half inch and require major stretching to get it to work. This is a trick I picked up on Youtube. However this is NOT a DIY if you have to learn how to use the heath gun and stretch the material without damaging the material. Plus it is a two person job. I never got the bumper to work for most of the parts I wanted covered. Seems like most of them require stretching to get it to fit. Why can't the clear bra just be cut right? Xpel I had years ago did not have this issue. Granted it cost a lot more. Real waste of time time and material. I decided to scrap the entire clear bra and just get a repaint when needed. The labor cost to install the bra is almost the same as a repaint. read more

this product and customer service is almost criminal. the product isn't shaped or cut properly and doesnt fit the vehicle it is represented to fit. the company makes cagy statements about stretching the product and that the product is not guaranteed but still provide slick do it yourself videos on teslas with almost 1 dimensional headlights. don't waste your time and don't risk your money on this company. they are just about selling plastic and charging your plastic and couldn't care less. ab out whether the product works or not. hide behind the fine print of the ad when you contact them about the inferior product. they will probable have their people scrub this review. i am a person who works with my hands. doing very precise work. every day with 6 years od post graduate education, i should be able to do this and the product won't allow kit because id doesn't work as advertised and blaming it on the customer is unacceptable. read more

I ordered $253.25 worth of pre-cut film for my C7 Corvette front bumper. Product was not cut to the correct size! Definitely cut too small in some areas. I wish I would have went by what the other reviews said. So now they have my $253.25 and I have a crumbled up bunch of garbage worth less than $20.00 in product. I ordered a kit for my BMW M3. SPECIFICALLY STATED that I need headlight washer cutouts. Received the product without said cutouts, so I e-mail him. Two weeks, 3 ignored e-mails later, I filed a complaint with my credit card. THEN he started e-mailing me, accusing me of bullying the "little guy" and that he is an "honest businessman," all that crap. And then, he has the audacity to talk crap, claiming that I shouldn't have filed a refund for the entire kit, and should file for just the cost of the front bumper, and that I should have went to a professional installer, who would cut the holes out. News flash, d-bag, I AM a pro installer. If this was a blank roll, yeah I would have masked off a template with the holes BEFORE CUTTING. But since this is a PRE-CUT kit, and your stupid website actually OFFERS pre-cut holes, I EXPECT pre-cut holes. And if you had responded timely in the first place, I wouldn't have to file anything. But nooooooo, you wanted to play the silent game. But let's put that aside for a minute. I was trying to be amicable, so I said, okay, I'll reverse the charges, but I want a refund for the front bumper kit, because it was practically ruined, as I found out there was no holes mid-install. He said okay...and then it was back to the ignore e-mail games for this scum. Listen, bastard, big or small, there's something called business ethics, something you apparently have no idea of. Ordered two invisible mask kits for a new car. Received the kits no problem. However, the cut outs are not labeled as to their purpose, left or right, up or down so it took considerable guess work to figure out where each of the pieces went. Also, the bumper cut outs required considerable cutting so they would fit....no explanation about doing that in the descriptions. The descriptions on the web site regarding the cut outs are very generic and not specific or unique to each kit. Some what disappointing. read more

I am truly disappointed in both the product and and company with my most recent order (invisible mask kit, hood and fenders 2017 Honda Accord). I believe that they believe they sent me the right pieces but they did not. It was clear from the pictures they sent me that it was flawed but they continued to deny, deny, deny and insisted that I was the problem. I have installed many kits over the years and I can assure you that I was not the problem. While they were prompt at returning my inquires, they offered no solutions or restitution to a long term client. kind of a bummer the product is good, but you have to know what you are doing ....it is better to have a professional do it. I have done window tint before but if your car has any curve or indentation it is very difficult. the how to videos show a flat faced truck which is very easy to install, it took me and a friend 3 hours for the bumper portion and it still has air bubbles etc. read more

I ordered the high end clear bra product from Invisiblemask knowing that I'm pretty handy with do it yourself projects, especially automotive related projects. I didn't want to pay the local installer $750 to have XPEL clear bra installed on my 2017 Camaro. The Invisiblemask product appeared to be high quality, but all of the pieces came on large sheets with several clear pieces on white paper and multiple pieces on each sheet. There were no markings or identification as to which pieces were for which part of the car and it wasn't easy to determine for example right mirror from left mirror. There were 3 front bumper pieces and no way to readily identify which piece went where without pealing these 7' long, very sticky, pieces off the sheet and figuring out which part of the bumper they were for. The easy parts of the car like A Pillars and door cups were relatively quick and easy to apply, but the mirrors and front bumper proved to be more than my wife and I could overcome. This is no job for amateurs! After hours of frustration we threw in the towel and gave up! $400+ in material and a day of trying in the garbage! Now I still have to go to the pro and pay $750 to get it done right! Certainly not Invisiblemask's fault, even though marking the pieces would certainly have helped, but this is a job better left to the pros, unless you have very simple flat panels to cover.
