Im from chicago. Family in DE PA area. Im completely addicted to this sub shop. Favorites are pork, ckn cutlet, and the absolute best eggplant parm sandwhich anyone will ever eat. Was looking for a non-chain option off 95. This place was pretty fab. This is a family-owned, local deli. We had chicken cutlet subs and the roast beef and gravy sub. They are huge and we could have shared. The cutlets where breaded with Italian breadcrumbs, just like I make at home. I had the supreme, which had broccoli rabe. The broccoli rabe was a fantastic addition. The roast beef and gravy sub was also delicious. I'm sure we will stop again when traveling I-95! read more

For Delaware these days....... They are very good. They have a few issues that are a little bit odd. They always seem to forget the pickles? When I order the hoagie, I say everything hot. Then they ask me afterwards...... Do you want sweet peppers, onions and so on? What not to understand? And they always forget the pickles! Then there's the Saturday girl at the register. She is the most unpleasant person in the place. Just looks like she doesn't want to bother with you. One thing these people don't understand is ALWAYS BE PLEASANT TO YOUR COSTUMER! read more

Definitely not fast food on a Sunday when they are busy, but the food was great, and the customer service was wonderful. Very good subs. I've had the meatballs, cheesesteaks, chicken cutlets, Italian, turkey stuffing...and maybe a few others. I really like them all. I'm probably still a bit biased toward capriottis but this place is REALLY REALLY good too. Definitely worth it. Additionally the medium subs are HUGE!!! Great sandwich shop with amazing roast pork & roast beef. This is better than most places I've tried in Philly, a city know for sandwiches. The meats were flavorful & tender. I loved the sharp provolone with both but didn't add broccoli rabe. The one thing I would say is that the gravy for the beef isn't my thing (I prefer thin au jus over a gravy consistency) I will definitely come back to try additional offerings. We are waiting on a Grilled Italian which looks yummy. read more

We went here last week after thinking about something different for dinner . I have lived in Delaware my whole life and always have been a Capriottis/Casapulla customer..until now! I am addicted to their food...I had the Roast Pork w Provolone & Broc Rabe by far the best anywhere! My bf had the Roast Beef Supremo..we both shared our sandwiches & equally liked both...a few days later tried a cheesesteak YUM! We chanced upon Ioannoni's in our effort to avoid the horrible backup between the Delaware Memorial Bridges and our route south to Maryland. To avoid much of the construction and associated congestion getting to I 95 we got off at Del Rt. 9 south and stopped at Ioannoni's to grab a steak sandwich. They were as good if not better than the ones we get in Philly and the pork and broccoli rabe was a spectacular surprise. What a bonus. Great food and a way to avoid the mess on the road. read more

On the road going south on 95 with kids and dog we "yelped" great places to eat near New Castle DE. Ioannoni's sounded perfect. Got the Philly Cheese Steak and the Italian Pork Supremo as well as the gravy fries. Everything is freshly prepared on premises, the bread is soft and crusty, the combined flavors of the pork, garlicky broccoli rabe and sharp provolone were so fresh and tasty. The gravy fries were exceptional, too. We were able to sit outside in the shade with our dog to eat. Mike, the chef/owner(?), came out to talk with us and recommended that we try the fresh breaded chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe, hot or roasted peppers and marinara next time. He said they'll serve it without the bun if you ask. Overall, it was quality, fresh food perfect for family and dog. read more

Great find. The shop is not fancy but clean with friendly people. We came at 7 and there was a line of people waiting for sandwiches to go. We ordered the cheesesteak, two roast beefs and a roast pork supreme with broccoli rabe. All were fresh and juicy with very generous portions. We want to go back and try more items from the menu.
