My wife and I stopped here on out way down from New York, after striking out at a couple other places. This was absolutely the right choice. The staff was friendly and very welcoming, and the sandwiches were simply delicious. I had the roast pork supremo and my wife had the roast beef supremo, and let me tell you if you go here, get something on the menu with the broccoli rabe. It's phenomenally crisp and flavorful. The meats are also fantastic, moist and rich. We also got old bay fries, which were excellently seasoned and crispy. We would recommend this place to anyone who is hungry while traveling through Delaware. read more

I love Roast Beef and they must have the best Roast Beef sandwiches in town. I would strongly suggest calling your order in, they are almost always crowded. I have had several other items on the menu and have not been disappointed. Always Fresh and Delicious with the same great quality! read more

I have never had a bad sandwich! They roast their own meats, everything is fresh. There are good reasons this place is jammed with locals at lunch. Get one of their specials or make up your own combo, it will be good. But at lunch expect 15-20 min wait after ordering. So if pressed for time, call in your order ahead of time. read more

Been here maybe 15-20 times since they opened. Definitely blows away the mostly fast food options in the area. The raab is a home run,and I'm picky about that. I enjoy the spicy chicken cutlet sandwich the best. It is definitely one of the few New Castle eateries that understands 'flavor". Everything is tasty and given the heavily concentrated lunch rush, the staff hustles and they do a good job overall getting folks through with few mistakes. One time though they missed my pre-paid order in the queue and when after waiting patiently to point it out (like the whole restaurant cycled through) the owner got defensive and cut me off while I was trying to explain and I wound up having the whole joint cycle 2 x before I ate. My co-workers finished eating 30 minutes before I got my food. I'm sure it was just a bad day but I found the "we don't make mistakes" attitude off putting so I only go back with the guys every so often now but I have to be fair, if you are in the area give this place a shot. They have high standards in terms of ingredients and prep so I'm sure they will have continued success. read more

We LOVE Ioannoni's! The pork sandwich with provolone and broccoli rabe is my fav, but the roast beef or turkey is very tasty too!!.

As some others have stated before me, this sandwich shop is by far the very best Delaware has to offer. Hands down the best tasting take out meat there is in this small state of wonders... Only complaint I have is that it's now too late to get one tonight. They close early. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. :-) read more

Came here after hearing so many amazing things. Ordered the pork and cheese since that is what I heard the most about. It was my least favorite of the 3 (yes 3) things I tried. The roll seemed different then the others which was odd and not a lot of meat but great flavor. Also ordered a cheese steak with American cheese, fried onion and pickles. This might be one of the best cheese steaks ever! Tons of cheese and it was all mixed in. Roll was perfect and full of meat but not too much some places (causes it to be too dry) and 3rd item was Italian sub. Had to try it. Tried it later but it was pretty good. One step above Capriotti's and one down from Casapulla's. Good amount of meat and fresh roll (not sure what happened with that pork sandwich roll). Don't live very close but if in the area again definitely would get another cheese steak and this time try the roast beef and cheese sandwich. The fresh chunk of beef sitting in front made me second guess my order. If hadn't called it in that beef would have been my first choice! read more
