Fix My Gadget responded with a quote to repair my headphones for a flat $35. When I went to the location on 11/27 to drop off my headphones, the young guy took the headphones and charged me $35 for the repair and gave no indication of when they would be fixed just that they would call us. Later that evening I received a text message that they found the issue, parts will be ordered, and the headphones will be ready for pickup in a week . There was no communication of the cost of these parts, that they were in addition to the $35 I had already paid, or confirming if I wanted to continue with the repair knowing the new cost. They just ordered the parts and assumed I would pay for them. One week later, on 12/5 I hadn't heard from Fix My Gadget, so I texted. I got a response that the parts were arriving on 12/6 and by 12/7 the repair would be done. On 12/7 I hadn't heard back...again, so I texted. Fix My Gadget responded saying the parts will be delivered on 12/14. Another week later, on 12/14, I hadn't heard bak, so I texted....again. I got a response that the headphones were ready for pickup. When I arrived at the store, I tested the headphones and everything worked great. I'm guessing these were different headphones altogether, because they wouldn't pair with the devices they were previously paired with at originally. In addition, Fix My Gadget charged me an addition $62 for "parts" which they never communicated or confirmed I was willing to pay. Come to find out, the $35 I originally paid was a nonrefundable deposit as the person at the business explained to us their process, but it was the first time we heard it. Overall I paid almost $100 for my repairs that I was not expecting. The communication was most likely broken down due to the multiple ways we contacted the business where each representative probably assumed our first point of contact explained things, but we were unhappy with the information we got during the entire process. We were happy that Fix My Gadget was able to fix my headphones in the end. I think anyone who uses their services will need to ask more questions than we did and the experience will be better.

Dropped it off next day during my lunchtime and my phone was ready after work. They were able to clean and clear the lens and reseal the phone. The owner explained that my phone was drenched in water, and the previous repair person did not use a new seal, reused the old seal. Price was decent. I would come back due to the friendly customer service by the owner and repair person did a great job.

Yet AFTER I dropped my PC off the owner tried to claim I owed $60 after he gave me a receipt that said total $0. No shame. He even told me over yelp "bring it in for free diagnostics". Not only that, he broke my PC case because he couldn't figure out he had to press a latch to open it and probably just ripped it out and tried to hide it with screws and didn't tell me. And now it doesn't stay closed anymore. And also he took out my GPU and didn't bother screwing it back in place when he was done, just left it dangling in there. Stay away from these clowns.

More than just a cracked screen, the damage was affecting my ability to use the top half of the screen for touchpad and using apps. I use my phone for work, to control my car, to control my a whole bunch of life functions, so I wanted to get it running as soon as possible. Given how much our cellphones rules our lives or my life, I decided to set an appointment to get it fixed. The cost isn't cheap, I didn't currently have insurance coverage on the phone. Parts and Labor cost about $310, however they were ceritifed in working with Google products and they were using genuine Google parts. They seemed really busy when I was there, the main person during the intial customer service was pretty friendly. As much as I'd like to complain about the price, it was my own fault for dropping it hard on concrete, and $310 is still less than a whole new phone. They estimated 2-3 hours to finish replacing my screen and it took about 2 hours. So far the phone is working almost as good as new. They'll try to sell you their insurance coverage, which is the person doing his job. Any given how tech rules our lives, it is tempting, maybe I'll consider it in the future.

This was a $150 job that left us with more broken parts than we started with. To make it worse, the multiple times that we called, the manager was either out or not willing to speak to us. The employees seem kind enough, but management is terrible and will do anything in their power to not payout compensation for issues that they caused. If you are a student or any other kind of person who values your time at all, avoid this place.
