I've been to uBreakfix's before, the first time was in El Cerrito, CA. I was in the Sacramento area for a work trip, the week before my Google Pixel 7 Pro had a hard fall where the screen was cracked. More than just a cracked screen, the damage was affecting my ability to use the top half of the screen for touchpad and using apps. I use my phone for work, to control my car, to control my a whole bunch of life functions, so I wanted to get it running as soon as possible. Given how much our cellphones rules our lives or my life, I decided to set an appointment to get it fixed. The cost isn't cheap, I didn't currently have insurance coverage on the phone. Parts and Labor cost about $310, however they were ceritifed in working with Google products and they were using genuine Google parts. They seemed really busy when I was there, the main person during the intial customer service was pretty friendly. As much as I'd like to complain about the price, it was my own fault for dropping it hard on concrete, and $310 is still less than a whole new phone. They estimated 2-3 hours to finish replacing my screen and it took about 2 hours. So far the phone is working almost as good as new. They'll try to sell you their insurance coverage, which is the person doing his job. Any given how tech rules our lives, it is tempting, maybe I'll consider it in the future. read more

This place is garbage and makes it very obvious that they do not respect their customers' time. Came in for a battery replacement, and left with a phone that had broken bluetooth, no gps signal, and a broken fingerprint sensor. This was a $150 job that left us with more broken parts than we started with. To make it worse, the multiple times that we called, the manager was either out or not willing to speak to us. The employees seem kind enough, but management is terrible and will do anything in their power to not payout compensation for issues that they caused. If you are a student or any other kind of person who values your time at all, avoid this place. read more

On Tuesday, I went to Tmobile to see if they could fix my iPad. A piece of my charger plug got stuck in my iPad's charger. T-mobile tried but couldn't fix it so they told me to go to uBreakiFix. On Wednesday I went there and I asked them if they were able to fix this for me and how much it would cost. James who helped me said it would be $30 and I said I don't have that today and he said as a courtesy I'll go back and have one of the techs check it out and see if we can fix it for you at no charge. I was so happy that I didn't have to pay today because I didn't have money and that they were willing to do something at no cost for me. If anybody needs theirs fixed, go see uBreakiFix. They're very nice and kind there and I will go back when I need any other repairs. They fix all kinds of things. read more

I have or should say I had an Apple iphone 11 Pro Max, which I loved. My phone's screen went black, but seemed to be working except for the black screen. I brought it here through my AT&T insurance. Sean at the front desk told me that my phone would be ready in 2-3 hours. No call, so 3 hours later I called the shop and they said it was fixed and ready. Just needed to run a diagnostic upon my arrival. When I got there, they had entered my security passcode incorrectly and locked me out of my phone for 3 hours so I had to leave it overnight. The next morning I entered the code myself and it locked for 8 hours. Sean said I could not take my phone home that way and that I'd have to leave it for another 8 hours or that he could "reset it back to how it was" when I brought it in originally (the day before). At this point, I was beyond frustrated so I asked him to set it back to how it was originally and that I would try another repair shop. When I got the phone home, I charged it, and now it is completely dead, broken, no getting into my phone. I lost 15 yrs of photos, documents, and banking info. I had to buy a new phone because of this place. Absolutely unacceptable. I would not trust this shop beyond a basic cracked screen repair. They left me without a phone for 2 days and returned it in worse condition than how I handed it to them on day 1. Additionally, Sean at the front desk has terrible customer service skills. He's dismissive, not helpful and acts like he does not care about you, your phone or his job. read more

They gave me an estimate to replace the speaker on my iPhone 11 Pro Max of $350 totally not worth it. They said it would need a factory original screen to be replaced as well because the speaker couldn't be replaced separately. I checked with love2fix. They replaced the speaker by itself for $75 no screen replacement . I know where I won't be going for phone repair from now on. What a rip off. read more

Nice to have another UBreak location! Sux to break your phone, but these guys usually have the solution. As one of the few local Google authorized repair partners, this is where I've gone lately. You can request an appointment online. I'm assuming that helps get some kind of priority over a random walking in with their inoperable paper weight. I've found repairs have been in the 3 hr-ish range for screen related repairs. You show up far enough ahead of store closing them, you may get it back the same day. We went in to fix my son's Z Flip5 as the fragile screen suddenly malfunction. We needed the screen replaced. We have Asurion plan coverage and the screen was replaced and fixed for FREE. The new screen was great and the phone seems brand new again. The customer service was excellent and the rep were all knowledgeable and friendly. I brought my nieces phone in after it blacked out. It was operative (could hear texts notifications and calls but the display was blackened. These guys were able to fix it within a short timeframe just before they closed (under half an hour). I was pleasantly surprised. They are helpful wit.my transferring the order from one of their other location to my nearest location. They were prompt with the repair and maintained excellent communication. A few days later the phone was disabled. We brought it in and they have had trouble fixing it. They weren't able to fix it as easily as changing the display screen as last time. Took my PS5 in to get fixed and before they even diagnosed the problem they said it would be $299. Claiming it needed to be soldered at the power supply. Mind you I paid $399 for the whole PS5. Not to mention more then a week to get it back. Found a place in Carmichael who found the problem that wasn't what Ubreak said and fixed it in less then 2 hours for $70. We took my wife's phone in for a problem with the stylus and screen. They couldn't repair it, which wasn't the problem. Our problem was the way they handled things. They cancelled our claim, lost the sim card and sim card holder, and due to the way they screwed up the claim processing cost us $200 more. When we brought it to their attention that they had made a mistake in putting in the wrong phone in and wrong claim number, they ignored us. This place is awful!!! I was referred to this location through my cell phone insurance for a cracked screen. I was told it would take 3 to 5 hours to replace. I was offered a liquid glass to put on my phone to avoid breaks in the future. The salesman stated he puts on all his devices. Liquid glass cost me $40. Less than a week later my phone screen cracked. I made another claim and took the phone back in. Again the salesman offers liquid glass to protect my phone. I told him the liquid glass is what is cracked on my phone which was done 1 week ago. He said take it back and adk for a refund. I tell him, then give me a refund, you are the person who sold it to me. At this time, he changes his tune. States liquid glass is more like a turtle wax, protects from scratches. So I paid $40 for turtle wax on my phone. He did not give me a refund. Do not get sucked in by their liquid glass protectant. I would go to another place for my needs but at this time this is the only place through insurance. Beware! read more

They do not know how to repair Samsung phones. Took it in for a simple screen repair where spen wasn't reading a small part on screen. Had to take it back twice the first time, when they left a glass pecie between the camera lens. The second time, the phone was stuck in a boot loop, and they said it was a battery issue, not even a day after repair. Now the phone is not water resistant. It fell in the bathtub for not even a second and completely useless now. I called and asked the tech if they sealed the phones before I told him what happend. . The tech told me they had to pass a seal test before they completely released it from repair. I then told him what had happened. Now they won't cover the phone with their warranty. So I'm out 580 bucks for out of pocket repair that was done not even a month ago. SYAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. Don't see how they are a Samsung repair shop. I will never come back here and will make sure everyone I know knows not to as well. read more

This is the worst repair place I've ever been to. Please avoid them! They are listed as a Samsung repair facility. My phone is under warranty. The power button is broken, Samsung says that's covered under warranty. While bringing it in there, they said "power button isn't covered under warranty" and would also need to replace the screen. So they charged me $260. I called Samsung, they said it should be free of charge!! Complete scammers. Then when I go to pick up my phone they said they lost it. Please avoid this incredibly unprofessional and shady company at all costs! Don't believe them with ANYTHING they say! read more
