I decided to have Dr. Vidor do my upper eyelid surgery for 3 reasons. He specializes in eyelids, he was referred to me by my dermatologist and he has a sound, approachable demeanor. Dr. Vidor did a great job on my upper eyelids which at 62 had developed so much laxity that they drooped down to my eyelashes. As a result of the surgery, I developed a little "webbing" in the corner of my left eye. About 3 months later, Dr. Vidor went back in and did a quick surgical touchup which eliminated the problem. Dr seem to be very rushed When he came into the exam room he had the door open and was continuing to carry on a conversation with his staff about someone else's prescription He quickly addressed me and my issue and then sent me on my way. Come back in a month or so. In the meantime I still have an eye problem Doctor showed absolutely no interest in me or my eye issue. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I've been to Dr. Vidor's office twice: once for a chalazion many years ago, and most recently for a ptosis correction. As someone who descends into a rabbit hole of research and horror stories before doing anything (especially to my eyes!), you bet that I'm incredibly mindful when choosing a surgeon. Dr. Vidor is hands down one of the best doctors - very skilled in his work, extremely friendly, easygoing, and professional. I went to Dr. Vidor when it was apparent I would need some assistance in the fine lines/aging area. So when I decided to deep dive into Botox, the personal recommendation was prefered. Dr. Vidor was great with flexibility to get me in for an appt in a very reasonable time frame, as I live all the way in Los Angeles. The office is in a great location with plenty of parking, and easy to find. When I arrived the receptionist was very friendly and I didn't wait long to see Dr. Vidor. But long enough to feel at ease in the waiting room. The decor is warm and bright, and doesn't feel like a plain and stuffy doctor's office at all. Love that! I was brought in, sat down, and filled out some required paperwork. He came in and we started talking about my forehead lines, divot, under eyes, and all areas where I felt needed improvement. Dr. Vidor listened to my concerns and my desire for the end result of Botox to look like I haven't had Botox. You prep with numbing lotion and have to sit for about 20 min to feel the effect. All the while, Dr. Vidor was very friendly and personable. You can tell he's just a really nice guy. After we discussed what he would do, it was time to cue the syringe. What I really liked is he said he wanted it to look natural (exactly what I wanted) so he wasn't going to give me more than I needed. Made a huge difference to me knowing he really was listening to me, and wasn't just going to give me more Botox simply to use it. But he did say I could come back if I thought I needed more. Two weeks later, I saw the full result and he was right! Looks exactly how I pictured it. Smooth and still with a full expression. I am ecstatic about the results and couldn't be happier! As a surgical ICU RN for over 12 years, I am extremely particular in who I see for medical purposes- anywhere from my dentist to my OB to my jaw surgeon to my daughters pediatrician. I have seen too many complications and too many things go wrong. Before seeing a new doc I research like a mad person. Where did they do their undergrad, residency, fellowship? What type of practice do they have and how long? Do they sub specialize? I reach out to other medical professionals to find out their reputation within the medical community-good news travels fast and bad news even faster. I do multiple consultations for comparisons. At the end of this, I take what I know and go with my gut. I can confidently say that after two procedures with Dr. Vidor, he is hands down the best of the best. I have recommended him to my family and my medical colleagues. His technique is flawless and he takes genuine concern in the outcomes of his patients. This is a tough review to write because I found the doctor, his assistants and other staff to be very considerate and responsive but I am unable to give enthusiastic feedback. I went to Dr. Vidor for dermal fillers and Botox and I ended up with a very noticeable and rather painful bruise under one eye and an overfilled puffy pocket under the other. He was quick to call me back and prescribe meds for inflammation but I ultimately went to Zena Gabriel, a dermatology office, for corrections because I was afraid of getting more bruising. Laurie and Jennifer at Zena definitely helped and they will be my go to for skin rejuvenation. I know others had good results from Dr. Vidor and I'm satisfied with the Botox injections he performed, but I learned that with my thin, pale skin I need blunt cannulas and not sharp needles. read more

I had an issue with a reoccurring chalazion, and my family doctor referred me to Dr. Vidor (not at this location, but near Hoag Hospital). The chalazion was on the outside, so Dr. Vidor gave me all the possible risks, and asked if I scarred easily, due to its location. He knew exactly what it was, but was still patient and thorough, answering all my questions. The procedure was quick and easy, and he has excellent bedside manner. During the procedure, he would talk me through it, and let me know what he was going to do, so that I wouldn't be surprised. After, he explained in detail what he did, and how it went, which was very informative. I have had a chalazion for over a month on my lower lid corner. I started with my dermatologist because I didn't know what the heck it was, and he gave me ointment and wanted to put me on meds. Not willing to take them unless I know that it would solve the problem. Next, went to ophthalmologist and she said warm compresses four times a day (I'm a teacher-- did the best I could looking like a pirate). She also gave me ointment with steroids and said if that didn't work, she could lance it (after trying antibiotics). Did she have to use the word lance? Nothing worked, and everything seemed to just irritate it more. I read Dr Vidor's reviews, and decided he might be able to help me. Because he is so busy (good sign in my opinion) they had to open up a Saturday and they were able to fit me in. I'm giving him 5 stars for the below reasons: 1. He was incredibly professional, and didn't make me go through the eye tests and hub bub of other doc. He looked at it through one tool, and knew exactly what it was and how he could take care of it. 2. He asked me about my experience and opinion and treated me as an individual, not someone on an assembly line. 3. He walked me through an extremely weird procedure (completed that same day within the hour) and made me feel totally comfortable. 4. He mentioned I would bruise, but was so gentle I had NO BRUISING which helped me feel a bit more confident going away with my husband that weekend. (I'm sure results may vary) 5. My chalazion is GONE. I had this done three days ago, and the healing process has been pretty easy because of his professional work.
